Luckily for me, my position paper due date got pushed back to Thursday. I had to pick an entirely new topic, so I decided to do gun control because it's not a "moral" issue and because someone else is doing that, so it checks out. I wonder where I should go for sources. I need more than 5 of them, according to the teacher.

I got back an English essay and have an F. If I do all the buybacks, I can turn it into a B-, but I hardly know where to start. It's a good thing that we're given an opportunity to fix mistakes, but getting an F for a class that I normally excel in is a real blow. and I've got econ finals this week. Damn Mondays.

So this weekend I felt like Charlie Sheen, not the crazy part but more so that my weekend was full of win.

The girl I was going to have the date with on Saturday texted me on Friday night saying she got stood up by a friend and was bored, so I said I could pick her up when I Get off of work and we could watch a movie or something. Thing is I got off at 3am and our date was going to be around 1pm so she just stayed over. Then I got to go to the aquarium, which I have been dying to do anyhow, on our date. We had a good day in general and then she stayed over again that night. Sunday we wook up and went to I-hop, which is my favorite place to eat in the morning! (mmm pancakes) After that we decided to go to best buy but it wasn't open yet so we swung by my sister's house. Hung out with them for awhile and she decided to come with us to the store. First we stopped at gamestop for my sister to trade in some games, and they just so happened to have a 3DDS available for people who didn't pre-order (aka me) so I picked it up with pokemon black.

After that we walked down to movie-stop, which is an awesome place to get anime for pretty cheap. I picked up the walking dead on blu ray and the "new" guyver series. Next came the verizon store for my new phone, but they were closed for lunch so we walked around to another gamestop, just to pass time. Well I walked in and was looking around and noticed they still had the bioshock 2 collectors edition. I didn't look at the price or anything but was raving that they have a vinyl record in it and wanted it but it cost over 100 bucks. Then she made fun of me when she pointed out that it only cost 30 bucks now, and now I have an awesome vinyl record of the first games sound track! Then the verizon store was open so I got a new phone, driod 2!

We decided to spend the night at her place and woke up this morning to get food at a diner, then I left for work.

tl;dr
Date that turned into 3 days of hanging out, got a 3DDS and pokemon black, a new phone and some new stuffs to watch xD

overall just an amazing weekend.

Yesterday my short film group had our own party and despite me being the only sober one among a bunch of absurdly merry people I didn't really mind, since I'm good at being part of a drunken atmosphere. :D We ate, drank, joked around, watched the making of-documentary and played games. The going didn't start getting raucous until we moved locations the first time, but even then I just focused on dancing and managed to have fun. We were evicted, and this was the weirdest part of the night, by two really buff Estonian dudes with tattoos who threatened to basically kick our asses if we didn't shut up. (It was Sunday night, after all.) And you don't want to piss off two men who look like mafia bosses when they need their beauty sleep.

Well, we laugh it off like it was the funniest thing ever and go to our script supervisor's place. There we could be as loud as we wanted, but we were there only for an hour before we ran out of alcohol and people started to either go home, calm down or, as in our director's case, puke all over the bathroom. At that point everyone kinda mutually decided to end the party. Luckily I had a very short walk back to my apartment.

And today I went to get hangover food with my friend even though she was the only one with a bad headache. It was really friggin' good and after that we just talked about stuff and watched some Arrested Development.

After this extra long weekend it feels strange to go to school again, but at least I have something to look forward to when I FINALLY get to go away from here for the weekend __

Started my next quarter today. My Sociology teacher is Ukrainian and has an awesome accent. Also my Philosophy teacher is insane. He let us go after only 30 minutes out of a 2 hour class .

Our professor finished a lot sooner today too, I suspect it's because he wanted to go outside and enjoy the nice weather.

It's especially nice in summer because they always try to move our lectures to early morning so we won't die of heat strokes when temperature hits 40° C, which means you can actually still enjoy the sun afterwards due to lectures ending in the afternoon instead of evening.

Brought my 3DS into school to play in Reg. and Common Roon. Loads of people were really interested in it! I went out to Game at lunch and about Dragon Quest : Starry Skies - I love this game; haven't been able to put it down!

I remembered I had a presentation today in macro. At the end, you get to share a funny video clip. I chose the scene where Luffy and Blackbeard first met. It was a bit awkward because nobody was laughing, even though most people said it was funny.

After the presentation, a piece of paper gets passed around and everyone is supposed to write a positive comment on the character or personality of the person, not on the presentation itself or the video, which is really what everyone ends up writing anyway when they have nothing to say. It's kind of weird having to make up something (for me personally). Practically none of it was about me except a couple saying I was funny. I have no clue what about me makes someone think I "should be a writer for SNL." Maybe it was the way I titled my powerpoint slides because I never say anything in class. It was a bit strange. It's interesting to compare how I view myself and how others do, but for some reason I was really paranoid, as though someone were going to write something negative. <__<

I also got conned into getting my nails painted purple with white zebra stripes. I guess it's really pink though. I don't have fashion sense and it's been many years last time I painted nails, so it's bizarre for me. When I got home I tried scratching it off but it wasn't working. I think this is what they call "doing it wrong" but I have no clue how to get it off. Luckily my parents either didn't notice or didn't care because I think it'd be a tad embarrassing to explain it.

It's kind of funny how a lot of my friends tell me I'd look good in green. Or purple and maybe blue. It's also scary how almost every single one of my friends talk about stalking me. I can't fathom the reason. I'm triple-padlocking my bedroom tonight. Stay away from my beautiful hair!!

On-topic: Finally went to the laptop shop today to fix up some stuff. I've been unable to connect to the wireless for a couple of days now, which is REALLY annoying because then I have to connect physically to the router which is in my parents' room which means that I can't stay up as late as I normally do (to study) because they need to sleep. Anyway, the guy helped me do some driver upgrade and other upgrade stuff, and it's working now! -flings confetti around-

I also finally placed an order for Windows 7. I'm using Vista now and it is so, so, so slow. It takes five full minutes after logging in for my computer to be ready to use. It was so embarrassing when the technicians wanted to check something on my laptop and had to switch it on, and ended up having to stand there for so long just waiting. But one technician said that it's normal, and I have a friend who has the exact same experience, so I guess it's just Vista. Can't wait to upgrade to Windows 7 - the laptop guy said the software might take more than a month to come, though, because the overseas vendors are OOS. Raahhhh.

Where the hell in Finland do you live to have 40°C during summer? O___o Doesn't that kind of peak in temperature happen only like once every summer in some obscure little town?

I slept for only four hours because my roommate had some loud issues with her boyfriend up till 2am and after that I just wasn't tired at all. Moving is always a hassle, but dear lord will I be happy to get rid off her!

Heh, I actually live in Southern Germany not in Finnland, although I have relatives up there. But yeah Finnland is a fridge, especially anything north of Rovaniemi I thought I had to freeze when I spent a weekend there.

Today I had an exam, and I was too worried (I only went in the 1st class of the subject because of my arm).
When in fact the test was easy, I'm relieved.

I'm surprised. Today my literature teacher(who's also responsible for our class) asked me to be the editor of the school-newspaper. And I don't know the cause. I doubt it was just a random thing from her, I'd recognize that.

Well, anyway, she gave me time to consider it, but I'm sort of unsure. My soul(or heart, whichever is better) tells me to take it, however, my mind warns me to be careful for almost no reason. It's not like I have to sing the opening theme of The Smurfs in front of ten thousand people.

I'll probably take it, and I know who will be my partner. Poor guy…

I'm still wondering... why did my teacher wanted me for editor? Could it be that's because I wrote a short story for a school anniversary? Or because I wrote her another story for Christmas?

Edit: though writing a short story is not equal to editing a newspaper thingy or whatever it's supposed to be.

Heh, I'd be flattered if I were offered such a position. I guess she really must like your writing style. It's a great chance and if you enjoy writing you should definitely try it, it also looks good on a CV later on.

Well, it can't hurt. Though I'm a little inexperienced, I don't really know what to write about. Unfortunately the latest efforts have been proven unsuccessful as not many people were interested in the paper. Maybe I can come up with something…
