that ending

Great beatdown, but after last week's Hunter x Hunter, all I could think was "Man, it sure would be great to send a punch remotely to remove that flesh bud." I mean, think of how useful and efficient that sort of ability could be!
-
I think this sums up one goofy aspect of Joaro that a lot of people don' seem to notice
-

Wait,
@black-leg:i need a 'jotaro that was cool, well done' picture for that ending line. Man that was a good episode
This'll Do
You made a video? Or is this some kind of meme I'm not aware of?
-
No i've seen a picture thats like: 'That was cool jotaro. Well done' or something like that. I think it's got a panel from jotaro vs. kira from part 4
-
Hee hee, that beatdown was actually the first piece of Jojo-related media I ever saw, posted on a "most badass x" thread on here from years ago. Cheers.
-
Sudden Realization:
- This is the brain damage (and.. latter) that turns Joseph Senile.
Joseph doesn't become senile, he was just being an asshole. After that scene on the ship he is always perfectly lucid.
(just mentioning it because I was really happy when I realized he didn't became senile as I thought at first).
-
I discovered JoJo through those silly versus topics. At first I came under the impression that the series was about some overpowered universe destroying dudes with psychadelic designs (I though Stands were people or aliens or otherdimensional entities or some shit). What I discovered was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much better than that.

I wouldn't say it's for everyone necessarily, but if you enjoy creative fights that tend to be well conceived and more out of the box, a unique ability-set for pretty much everyone, concepts drawn out to the extreme, music and fashion references, general fabulousness, absolute batshit insanity, catchy battlecries, lots of punching, unique artstyles, Heavy Use of 「quotation marks」, Posing, and overall writing that tends to be better than the average manga, then you've come to the right place.

Has the anime reached the desert yet? I've stopped watching cause the start bored me. I don't think I'm a Jotaro fan. Joseph was just way more to my liking.
That said I've read the series until the desert. So I wanted to pick it up again when the anime reached that point.
If yes which episode is it? -

If yes which episode is it?Well we're reaching 「a」 desert in the next episode, does that count?

Well I guess that has to be it :). But just to be sure
! It's the scene where they fight that guy that hides behind mirrors.
Thanks -

ThanksOh, I was talking about the Sun. Hanged Man was way back around episode 10 lol
-
Bout the anime, is the anime covering all Jojo parts ? Or still airing
-
@Purple:
Oh, I was talking about the Sun. Hanged Man was way back around episode 10 lol
Nah I meant the Sun too :).
! Probably was a bit misleading but if I remember right the guy hid behind a mirror that reflected the desert so the group couldn't see him.

Yeah, I guess so, but you know, Hanged Man literally hid behind mirrors lol

The current season will probably feature only Part 3. Parts 1 and 2 have already been adapted. It's looking like they're gonna do the whole thing over the next decade or so.
-
Oh great I just finish part 1, chapter 1 looks great the Dio and Jojo interactions, about the anime is it good adaptation very same like in manga or they changed the story like Anime toriko was shit because I they changed the story

The anime is a very good adaption. Some parts of part 1 like some training scenes have been removed but it's nothing that changes the story in anyway. Part 3 has been an even better, and a very faithful, adaption.
-
Part 1 is pretty good, the budget is tight but I think with what they had it works really well.
Plus Takehito Koyasu as Dio. Can't argue against that.
-
Speaking of part 3, anyone noticed how Dio
! is like a kid putting flaming bags of crap at people´s doors.
He uses the World to stop time, push Polnareff a couple os steps back, and then goes back into his perfect pose, probably giggling along the way
! Stops time, beats the crap out of Nukesaku, puts him in coffin, hides again, still giggling
! Dude leaves the car running, stops time, goes out of the car, grabs dude, goes to the other side, opens door, sits down again…seriously wtf…
-

! Dio's been like that since he was a kid, putting flaming bags of dog at his adoptive family's door.
-
! A key to understanding Part 3 Dio is realizing that he is a sociopathic manchild who just does not give a fuck about anything.
-
Guys, remember ho Rohan was engaged in a battle of wits with the Stand on his back, one that would instakill him the moment any living soul saw his back? Remember how that Stand was communicating with the dogs, telling them Rohan was a horrible dog killer, goading them to attack Rohan? I hadn't thought about it before, but if Rohan is generally thought of as Araki's self-insert, so… HAHA.
I wonder if Araki was concious of that.
-
I just watched last week's episode, and man, that was some beating Steely Dan took! He deserved every bit of it, too…
-
The special screening confirmed there will be a three month break after the second cour, which means it will be split between a Non-Egypt and an Egypt part. This also means we can still hope for a Dio ending song once it returns in Winter 2015 :P

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
We could've hoped for Dio that without the damn break.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
There isn't even any particular high note for the first half to end on.
Why is everybody hot for this split cour nonsense lately?
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Now that I'v settled down, I guess I can see the benefits, Gives animators some breathing room.
-
Watch the new ending be "Crocodile Rock"
-
I really hope they end it on Iggy/Geb instead of High Priestess.
-
We know there are 24 four episodes before the break, so I guess it's gonna be something like this:
! Ep. 18: The Sun (including the first two chapters of Death 13)
Ep. 19: Death 13
Ep. 20: Judgement (Part 1)
Ep. 21: Judgement (Part 2)
Ep. 22: High Priestess
Ep. 23: Iggy the Foul and Geb N'Dour (Part 1)
Ep. 24: Iggy the Foul and Geb N'Dour (Part 2)
Even if they add some Midler filler High Priestess wouldn't be a good battle to end the season, and realicing that Dio has more powerful minions waiting for them in Egypt is a much better cliffhanger than just "we are finally in Egypt". -
Perhaps the Sun will be four episodes long (with a deceptively titled first episode), and the rest of the tarot stands get one episode

I hope this will not ruin Dio to me like Batman was ruined when I realized he spent most of his time waiting until no one was looking so he could enter or leave a place "misteriously" (probably giggling along the way).
I mean, every time I watch one of his movies now and he is talking to someone, I know he is thinking "Look the other way, look the other waaaay… OKNOW!" runs the hell out of the place

Same with high priestress. They can add one episode for each and end with them introducing Iggy/teasing him.

Exactly. Also, a new shot at getting "Egypt" from Dio as the ending theme.
-

Death 13 is 6 chapters long and The Sun is 2. They can adapt those 8 chapters at a pace of 4 chapters/episode if they cut out the opening or the ending. They already adapted 4 chapters in the latter half of the Hanged Man fight and in the Wheel of Fortune episode.
Judgement has 5 chapters and High Priestess 4, with the first chapter of HP being almost entirely dedicated to the aftermath of Judgement. Even with filler there's no way they can give that fight two episodes, one and a half would be pushing it.
In total these four fights total 17 chapters, which translate to 5/6 episodes with the current pacing. They would be left with one episode to fill if they went with the 6 episode route, so I think my previous guess is the most probable.
We'll see tomorrow how much of The Sun they are going to adapt in episode 18. My guess is that they'll end it with the plane about to crash, with the Sun fight lasting only half an episode. -
Death 13 shoving it's scythe into Polnarefs mouth would be a perfect cliffhanger.

I agree with you on that. I only learned his name was Arabia Fats this week, really. The most memorable parts of the fights are Joseph's OH! MY! GOD! and Jotaro's laugh. Even Midler got more lines than the stand user (I think he only shouts, and once).

I always thought of Rohan as the anti-Araki, considering details like how Rohan hates Josuke whereas he is Araki's favorite character.

that non-chalant bass drop towards the end :D
