Minamimoto is back! Yes! I didn´t think this was possible.
I don´t need any more info, I'm buying this game as soon as possible.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
The opening does worry me because it seems to cover a lot of manga content/characters (that was only introduced abit later) and the focus on a certain character that could potentially mean added but unnecessary attention/content.
Actually, all characters in the opening are introduced in the first 20 chapters of the manga. Even Dagon, he just doesn´t do anything.
It's easy to forget just how soon a number of plot points are introduced, or how some things are hinted at but not explained. For instance, Megumi gets ready to summon Mahoraga against Sukuna in chapter 8 (he adopts the summoning pose and starts the chant), but that´s not brought up again for like 100 chapters. It´s things like this that make this series great to reread.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
UndeadxUnluck was 1st in the Comic category of this year's Tsugimanga Awards (https://tsugimanga.jp/winner2020-comics/). It's getting two consecutive CPs to celebrate. Yozakura is celebrating its first aniversary.
Agravity Boys was 6th this year. Mashle was 11th and Mitama 13th. Last year, Chainsawman was 2nd and SPYxFAMILY won the Webcomic category.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
I am glad with the precedent tho.
Aren´t they acting in the same way they did when Takeshi was cancelled? Maybe they are being slightly faster (which makes sense because there´s a confession straight away this time around and info moves around much faster nowadays), but that´s about it.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
Jump is being really aggressive with the new series this year. With these we go up to 15, quite above the recent average of 11. I don't expect any new rounds until We Never Learn ends in 18 chapters (around January), but who knows at this point.
Mitama is ending in 36-37 and Bone Collection will follow in 38. I am assuming Ghoswriter will be the third series to go, considering recent ToC placements and story developments. Burn the Witch will only be 4 chapters long, so it will end in Issue 41 and leave space for the fourth series, no need for 4 cancellations. -
RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
One Piece has, at the very least, 5 years left before it ends. I think it's too early to theorize what the state of the magazine will be by that time. 5 is more than enough time to find a couple of MHA level hits that would justify the continuous existance of the magazine. As a point of reference, in the last 5 years the magazine started (and in some cases ended) Black Clover, Yuuna, Yaiba, Neverland, WNL, Dr Stone, Act Age, Jujutsu and Chainsawman.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
No series ending yet? Mitama? Agravity?
As Kaizo said, Haikyu is probably ending in 3 chapters (it's not official yet, we'll have more info come Sunday). However, one of Mitama and AB will be axed in favor of Burn the Witch when that starts later in the summer, probably.

RE: Haikyu!!
I have to say, this arc is my favourite part of Haikyu. The lack of stakes allows me to simply focus on the present and enjoy the brilliantly crafted manga chapters that we get every week. No need to care about who wins of what comes next, this match is just an extended epilogue that is providing payoff to all of the characters introduced during the series. Great stuff.
I wouldn't mind at all if it continued for a bit longer, but it seems to have less than a volume left. It might end before the summer does. -
RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
So Itadori's ability is turning his enemies into his friends via memory insertion? Like a weaponized Talk no Jutsu?
I love it. It turns the trope on its head, like how explaining your ability makes it stronger because magical strength increases with risk. I'm really excited in how this is going to develop.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
So with that, Kimetsu no Yaiba is the first established Jump series to end this year, but it won't be the last. Neverland and Yuuna will be the next to go: one is in epilogue mode and the other is finally adressing the premise of the story. Haikyu is in the second set (out of five) of what's probably its final match and We Never Learn is about to
! finish its second route (again, out of five). Both will have ended by this time next year.
All in all, I'm expecting a new serialization round fairly soon, in July. If it's a large one, Guardian and Mitama are prime candidates for being axed, since both have had bad sales. Mitama's ToC rankings have been decent, but the latest chapter raised some ending flags and the recent serialization of Moriking makes it so there are now two 'pure' gag manga in the magazine (so axing Mitama wouldn't decrease variety). Yozakura had good first volume sales, but its second volume didn't grow by much (though it was still reprinted, so not all's bad). Still, it's a prime candidate to reach its one year anniversary and become at least a mini-hit (even if due in part to a lot of stablished series ending). Undead Unluck had even better sales than Yozakura and just got a Color Page, so it's safe for the moment. Agravity's sales were worse, but still good (the volume had to be reprinted after all). It's being doing badly in the ToC though, so it needs to show growth with its second volume to stay alive.
Mashle has been getting great positions in the ToC and has already received a CP, so it seems Jump has a lot of confidence in it. We shall see how its first volume fares next month, but things look promising. As for the rest of the new series, it's too soon to tell. Personally I quite enjoy Moriking's gag weirdness and I found Ghostwriter's first chapter quite interesting. Bone Collection is the worst of the batch for me. I find none of its ideas interesting as an action series, though it can be funny at times.
