See, to me she looks pretty similiar in all the panels. Derp. I'm not the most observant person, I will admit.

Same here. I did'nt figure that switch out at all from the manga, she does'nt look very different and i just thought Zoro was calling her a brat anyway
It made it a lot clearer in the anime though
Is Elbaff in the New World ?
Yes it is, 16 characters of Usopppp

I remember when that chapter came out that some people were already presuming she had a DF allowing her to change her age, way before it was revealed in the next chapters. Oda probably made it not clear because he wanted to reveal her DF later, but certainly she did use it on herself.
If Sanji learns newkama kenpo, can it really be called a death "wink" if you can only see one of his eyes when he does it? Will he wink his right eye so that he can't see at all. Or will he use his left eye and blow a hole through his hair?
the winkis iva's ability only no?
Okama Kenpo (オカマ拳法 , literally, Crossdresser Fist Way) is the fighting style used by Mr. 2 Bon Kurei of Baroque Works. It is a style that uses mainly kicks and is taken directly from ballet dancing, therefore most of its stances are ballet poses rather then martial art stances
so its a move not inlcuded in kenpo
WHy do people act like Sabo being alive is confirmed? WHile I believe he is, I'm pretty sure Oda has never actually shown him being alive after the incident

Dragon saved someone, who was badly wounded. Most likely Sabo.
It's more than enough to make people believe Sabo is alive.
Dragon obviously saved teach at that time
Have any of the crew had a birthday shown? I can't remember one off the top of my head but found it odd that oda would miss something so symbolic.
do you mean do they have birthdays, or do you mean celebrated it in the manga. Yes to the first and no to the second

Who was being treated on Dragon's boat.
Gear Fourth will involve Luffy dancing at 4x the speed of Michael Jackson, which will then cause a rotating column of air that sucks everything within a four-km radius inside of it. Luffy will then force all of that air into a tiny point of compression. He then eats that sphere and shoots it out of his mouth at twice the speed of taste. as it travels, the point of compression becomes unstable and explodes in a dramatic fashion, killing everything within a ten-mile radius. The obligational side-effect Luffy has to deal with? He's dead, Jim.
Who was being treated on Dragon's boat.
Gecko Moria.
Usopp's mother.
Blue Jam.
And Dragon himself.
I told you it was Teach.
does anyone know what floor ivakov was on in ID and how he/she got out
Wasn't he on level five? The official explanation was that a demon was kidnapping the prisoners but I'm not sure if an actual explanation was given on how he got out.
Someone with a DF to create tunnels created lvl 5.5, and it's connected with with all the other lvls aside from the 6th, so we can assume Iva was on the 5th and got there from one of those tunnels.
How could it be Sabo anyway. He got shot and destroyed near Luffy's island..I don't think that's all that close to Zoro's Island, so how would he end up there, still wounded?
Might be my mistake really, please correct me if so.
I have yet another foolish, and utterly random question.
Is there a special name for the swords Kaku uses? I've seen them in many series, and wondered if there was a certain class they fell into. Wooden handle, no guard. I'm sure there must be a crazy name for them…

Also, was it me, or did they grow when Kaku turned into his hybrid form?
They probably did. As did his clothes, which seemed very noticeable on him than most other zoan users, in my opinion.
I can't remember if this was answered in the manga - exactly how did Sengoku and the WG find out that Ace was Roger's son? I can understand Luffy and Dragon (Garp wasn't hiding Dragon before he went rogue,) but considering the circumstances of Ace's birth, I don't see how there would be anything that connected him to his father.

Ehh, might as well tackle this… For one, we don't know the distance from Dawn Island (Luffy's) to Shimotsuki (Zoro's), but assuming that Dragon and the fire people got there before the Tenryuubito arrived, it can't be too far. I don't remember the exact dates, but it seems like a half a days trip really.
As for how he got there... Dragon arrived late, and it's implied he brung someone injured with him. Mind you this all happened the same night that Sabo got shot. There you go.

Ehh, I don't re-call exact details. But… Sengoku seemed to get the idea when reading the newspaper after Ace had first appeared. And then I believe it's implied that Garp eventually told him.
Does Shakuyaku even age? she looked exactly the same 20 years ago

Yeah she ages.

Yeah, she ages.

Is Franky's skin real? If so, how is he going to grow it back after the explosion?

Seeing on how the skin onf his right hand peels off like a glove, I'd say it's all fake.

You say that way to casually , try melting your entire face off , if it was real (even in the one piece world) ode would make him show some pain

If I recall correctly the kid, Seta, in RuroKen used that same type to kill his family. I think they're called Wakazashi.

A quick google images shows some Wakizashi that look right and some that don't. The right ones were labelled "Shirasaya". Wether that's a brand or the name, that's good enough for me. Thank you!
Just a question - How OP would Luffy be if he could do a Blackbeard and was able to take Buggy's power?
Seriously rubber and able to spilt if cut, but I think BB's ability to take other DF is linked to the one he ate.

The Cipher Pole groups are used to gather information for the Government. I would assume there apparently great at this, probably found from people in South Blue that Rougue had been pregnant for so long, or had found out that she was pregnant when she moved there, and found out from where she lived before how long she was pregnant. After that they strung it together with from when Roger died, found out Garp was their, and confronted him on it.
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum (just created my account) - and the main reason I created is to ask you about the manga. I JUST catched up to episode 462 after a year of not watching the anime (college) - and i'm loving it although some things have been spoiled to me because people have gone ahead and read the manga.
I tried reading the manga scanlations and it's ok for the most part but when fight scenes come up I get REALLY confused. I won't be able to tell what type of attack it was, who did the attack - etc. For example, when Aokiji freezes up Whitebeard's ocean waves - that was ok - but then he returns the attack - the drawing was so vague I couldn't tell what he did. Watching the anime episode cleared that up for me.
Just a question… how do you guys actually understand it? I've read manga before but never been a huge fan, but with an action-packed series like One Piece you absolutely have to know what is going on in every slide.
Until you read all the manga chapters I'd refrain from posting in the manga section.
Don't know what to say about you being confused when trying to follow fight scenes. Maybe you have a rare form of scantalation epilepsy and are allergic to _DON!_s
Also maybe you should read the chapters slower and use your mind to think while you follow the series of events.
How do I understand it? Hmm a question that hasn't dawned on me. How do I think? I haven't studied the brain so to me I just do. After understanding that you have to read from left to right it's simple (is that your problem?) Any assumptions I have are usually corrected when discussing amongst other members in the community anyway. It's never been that hard.
First of all, welcome.
Second, you better understand the way manga works by doing 500 squats every day while reading. The sheer amount of discipline and endurance required to achieve this admittedly absurd amount of squats helps your brain analyze the pages before you. By attempting to ignoring the pain, your brain focuses on trying to work out what the eyeballs are looking at.
…kidding. It just takes getting used to. Take your time while you're reading.
Just be lucky that's your only problem.
Is figuring out the fight scenes.
For me on the other hand.
I still can't figure out Luffy's goal. I know Oda leaves hints here and there but I just can't seem to find them.

"shirasaya", literally "white scabbard"
doesn't have the hand guard hilt thing, and isn't decorated at all. not intended for actual use, only storage or transport.
of course, in the wacky world of manga, having your fingers completely exposed to the other guy's sword sliding down yours is no issue whatsoever!
I've been looking but haven't found the answer yet to this question:
Have we had any hints about Oda taking a break with the time skip? Has there been any discussion on this topic at all?

I have a theory on this.
I believe… well lets say time skip happens at chapter 599, then we see the result of the time skip at chapter 600 the week after.
It's far stretch but might happen.

So you are saying that Oda won't be taking time off. I hope so. But at the same time I think that we readers also need some time to feel the time skip. It would be just weird if let's say the time skip is a year but we readers get it the week after. I'm worried that Oda might take a month off.
I don't see that happening. I mean, why would he do that? He has his fans and they patiently await their weekly chapters. Taking a month of is quite dangerous and not a good thing when seen commercially. So I think jump won't have a thing like that. Having a timeskip is perfectly do-able in one week. It has been hinted so much that no one would be surpirsed in the least. But I think we will have an extra chapter (or a couple) before the reunion about how exactly the SH are going to Shabondy Archipelago from their islands. Because I would really like to see how this will be handled.
I agree with flandrian15. It will work just fine. There's probably gonna be a chapter without the Srawhats (showing the Marines, the other Supernovas or Blackbeard) between the beginning of the timeskip and the reunion. However, I doubt that we will see how the members got to SA. That would ruin the surprise of how everybody changed. Maybe after the reunion (via flashbacks).
well I was hoping everything would be cleared up before the timeskip actually happens for one really simpe reason. The coming chapters are going to be just fine but the pacing is a little slow after SA/Impel Down/Marineford so it would be nice to have everything cleared so when the reunion happens the pacing can get a bit faster again because I think everyone would want that in stead of a flashback of every character which would probably be like 5 chapters again before the actual real time stoty can pick up again. Also, the SH aren't ones to talk about the past (this has been shown a lot) so why would those flashbacks be shown anyway. I doubt they will all want to tell their individual story of what happened and just get on with their journey after having been seperated for quite a while.
