after he got to raftel with the crew Roger told them what the Poneglyph meant, he knew luffy would be the one to raise hell in the world, so he went to east blue and settled down long enough to be able to follow luffy on his journey, now Buggy will be in the new world with his giant crew of prisoners (Buggy balls tattoo'd on them) and his schichi status waiting, biding his time. When it comes down to BB vs luffy to get to/ whilst on raftel Buggy will give luffy the last piece of advice to be able to win. He'll do it for shanks cause Shanks shall sadly be defeated shortly after luffy and him meet.
Besides wanting to see Moriah kick some ass I also want Buggy to get a more important role in all of this =\

I wonder… why don't we and translators use "Red dog" "Blue Pheasant" and "Yellow monkey" instead of Akainu, Aokiji and Kizaru? It seems more... "correct" to me and I'm curious why do we use the Japanese names. A lot of characters have names that mean something and can be translated almost literally to English (Whitebeard for example) so why not translate nicknames that has something to do with the characters personalities/powers etc. Although I kind of agree that sometimes, names are better untranslated, but nicknames are not quite like that. Also joke names like Yarisugi.
I'm not nitpicking (I'm fine with whatever CCC and Aohige gives us) and I'm not trying to enforce anyone to use translated names, I'd just like to know why some names are translated and others not. And because I'm interested in translating (though not manga) and would like to grab every opportunity to learn its little secrets.

A mix of laziness and convenience, I guess. The English names are usually longer than the Japanese ones.

Considering how the Grand Line works in terms of navigation I don't really see the point of having a map anyway… Then again, I guess you could know what island you'd be randomly aiming at next assuming it was informative on all routes. There's likely a throwaway scene of Nami knowing about an island before arriving or something, meaning we could take that approach. shrug
As for the whole translation thing... with stuff like Akainu, Aokiji, etc... I always just assumed it wasn't translated because despite it being an epithet they use it so much more often. Most people probabbly think it's their real names at some point. Just cant really see us going around saying how sad we are Red Dog killed Ace. It'd be kind of like saying Mihawk is my favorite seven warlords of the seas.

I thought it was a map which only showed how to enter in the Grand Line, not a map of the whole grand line. Besides a map of the Grand Line would be useless since compasses doesn't work.

We are never given the exact prison. Only that he, Chu and Kurobi were still in prison. Although because of the adventure had in Impel Down it is 99% certain that Arlong is not being held there. Unless there was some sort of transfer after the time skip.
My guess is they are still in the East Blue.

It's widely believed that Raftel's on the other side of Reverse Mountain, but we don't know for sure. It could honestly be just about anywhere, but it's likely somewhere around the opposite side of the globe as Sabaody.

You're comparing somebody's ability that matches up with the qualifications of a category of abilities to Buggy getting a letter from the government. A letter we did not see.
Only solid facts that would lead to us firmly believing he is a Warlord is that the letter was delivered in the same manner Jinbe's was, and that Buggy reputation would give a reasonable justification for them inviting him to join.
In other words you're comparing something all but confirmed to something that has no huge basis and is mostly inferring.
Also what's this "If buggy's not a warlord then you know nothing about story telling". Apparently you don't because the letter could also be a red herring.
Was an explanation for why Zoro was able to cut Mr. 1 at the end of their fight ever given? I think I remember Zoro saying something about hearing voices, but I didn't quite understand what he was talking about.
