Yea don't be a smartass Sonic, it's obviously the chapter after the next.
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

A new "One Piece" museum, perhaps?:ninja:
-
I am a smart.
But seriously you guys, maybe it's a new book? Yellow Book? Full of information about One Piece stuffs.
-
There's already a yellow book…...
-
Really. Oh. Well. Crap.

By pure instinct I'd say yes, he will.
Could someone give me a reason why Dosun and Muhhi have been given such moronic names? Or more accurately, what is the point of shouting out one's own name after every phrase?
I don't get it

"dosun" is, I think, the Japanese equivalent of the thud/thump. I think there's a pun on the Japanese name for hammerhead sharks too, but Aohige would know for sure.
As for Muhhi, I haven't the faintest clue.
-
Dosun does mean thud in Japanese. But the pun comes because he says it at the ends of his sentences and it kinda sounds like desu…

Is there a manga version of mugiwara theater?
And will there be a new one soon? :D -

-
YES! Thank you!! :D

if fishmand island will be destroyed and fishmen and mermen will move to the surface, how do the pirate new generations will get to the new world?
-
by having an eternal post that points to the location were Fishmen Island used to be?
We don't even know how a ship goes back up to the surface though without refilling their airbag at Fishmen island.
I would figure they actually need to stop at fishmen island to do this because their is only a limited amount of air inside a coated ship and if they were to inflate the airbag with air from inside the bubble they would loose a large amount of precious air and might not be able to make it to the other side.. -

@Czechmate & Doke no Buggy Thanks, I suppose it makes sense then, especially if there's a pun.
Though I still prefer not to name anyone after the sound they make.
-
How come Luffy's teeth stretch?
!
-
His body which includes his teeth has rubber like properties.
-
So could his hair stretch?!
-
if fishmand island will be destroyed and fishmen and mermen will move to the surface, how do the pirate new generations will get to the new world?
Well in order for Fishman Island to be replaced with a surface version, a lot of stuff would need to changed in the outside world, so perhaps the need for such a secondary, blackmarket entryway into the NW would as well?
@Sniper:
So could his hair stretch?!
Yes. Everything stretches. Luffy is made completely out of rubber now–yet he bleeds and eats and we have been assured in an SBS, iirc, that all other bodily functions work as normal.
Do not try and think about it too deeply--it's a manga. LOL

During the Marineford arc, how come Buggy didn't even know that Ace was Gold Roger's son? And then when Buggy found out about it, it seems like he didn't even care about helping out Ace, despite the fact that Ace's is his former captain's son? Is it bad characterization? In the anime, it became more obvious that Buggy doesn't even care about Ace. He didn't even gave any effort whatsoever.
And Shanks, did he even know that Ace is Gold Roger's son? Did Ace knew that Shanks is part of Gold Rogers crew?
This are the things that bugged while watching the Marineford arc. -
Why would either of them know what Roger was up to after he disbanded the crew.
-
Why would they know? Roger only told Garp. And besides, we are talking Buggy here. He would probably only help Ace if his captain was still alive to kick his ass if he didn't. :P
Maybe Ace knew about Shanks or maybe he didn't. My guess is he probably did, it seems like common knowledge in the One Piece world, a way for the marines to make Shanks look more dangerous, even if he was just a minor part of the crew (don't know about that though). -
no jump this week?
-
-
Even if Buggy knew Roger was with Rouge and she was pregnant, he only knew Ace as Portgas D. Ace. Nobody except Garp, Sengoku, and a few others knew Dragon's full name, Roger's crew might not have known Rouge's.
-
The manga made a lot of effort to show us that Rouge died after giving birth, and that the baby was hidden extremely well. Of the people who actually knew anything about him to begin with, most probably assumed that the babe was killed in the searches conducted by the marines at the time.
That said, Shanks did indeed make an effort to get to the war, and was delayed by his little triste with Kaido. Why he showed up at all (given that it was WB's to manage, and that they seemed to have had a mutual pact of respectful non-interference with each other) is still a bit of a mystery–the fact that he had the hat and that he showed up at the war could point to him knowing about Ace, though really, it's all extreme fan specualtion and fan fic at this point. I'm sorta assuming the story of Shanks' relationship with Roger, and how he came by the hat to begin with, will get told at some point, and perhaps we will find out then why he showed up at the war at all.
I've been imagining a story somewhat similar to how Shanks gave the hat to Luffy, e.g. that Roger saw something he liked in Shanks, and gave it to him to encourage him, perhaps with Shanks getting it at an older age, if anything.
-
Anyone thinks that the straw hats will meet a "beautiful lady swordsman with tons of meat is coming this way" ?
-
Anyone thinks that the straw hats will meet a "beautiful lady swordsman with tons of meat is coming this way" ?
Will Smoker be nearby too? If so, then I think so too. They'd obviously be trying to lure Luffy with the delicious scent of meat, and Zoro and Sanji would just happen to be there with him.
All (or at least most of) Usopp's lies will become true in the end.
-

"beautiful lady" and "tons of meat" is an oxymoron -.-
-
"beautiful lady" and "tons of meat" is an oxymoron -.-
Uh…. no it's not. Do you even remember the context of that line? Or what an oxymoron is for that matter? Meat as in... the stuff luffy is always eating.
-
Pretty sure that was just a joke.

Can someone say me why Moria, in the romaji translation is witten as Gekkō Moriah (ゲッコー・モリア), with ah "h" at the end?
Thanks a lot -
I think it's the official writing of his name. Then it means it's Moriah because Oda said so ^^
-

Thanks a lotBecause that's how it's romanized in Databook Green.
-
Because it's written that way in Databook Green, which I'm sure Oda confirmed it.
-
Ok, thanks for the replies =)

Since we have practically established that Garp, Aokiji, Smoker and Sengoku(?) are "nice" marines in terms of knowing their role for righteous justice, do you guys think they will join in the battle at the end of the series against the SH's? Garp and Sengoku could easily be placed sideways to say both of them won't do anything. But how about for Aokiji and Smoker? I kind of expect a result between Smoker and Luffy before the final battle - if it is the final battle - same applies to Aokiji. What ya reckon?

No. The Marines/WG need to have a force capable of competing against the massive army that will be brought against them or it would be boring.

You are saying all of the names I have mentioned wont join the battle? Those are few of the biggest names coming from the Marine side, like you said they will be a huge force to compete in the massive war. So yeah im confused… kind of contradicting there. Unless I have mis-interpreted you?

Although they are "good guys" something tells me smoker will turn against the marines though.. He does what he sees as just regardless of what the law may be.. I think when more of the WG's evil doings are shown a few 'good' marines will turn sides. much like X. Drake did (although we don't know why he left)

Keep in mind that there is a really good chance that the ancient weapons will be used in the final war.

I'm saying that they'll fight on the Marines side. Otherwise they won't be enough of a challenge.

Sure, an ancient weapon is a nice addition, but I don't consider it to be a replacement. I really doubt we're going to see a Bleach-esque one thing defeats everyone and it's all up to Luffy and his crew alone to deal with it.

Would Garp team up with the person that killed Ace? Once again, go against his grandson? I can see Aokiji and Smoker having to fight in that battle, but I definitely have doubts regarding Garp and Sengoku. Especially since they have retired and really have no obligation to fight in that war - perhaps not the correct words to use. Sengoku is definitely an 'iffy', just the way he react when Whitebeard said that war will happen and that OP is out there, Sengoku had a rather "z0mg oh noes you didnt!!" reaction if you get me? So perhaps he'll be in it… but Garp as well? :/
Also could one not argue that the whole purpose of Smoker and Coby's reaction to the injustice shown in the war after the pirates tried retreating as an indication that they will not side with the Marines at the end?

Why would they have to team up with Akainu? It's not like all of the Marines have to get along with each other. It's not as if they do now.
I figure Garp and Sengoku will wind up fighting Rayleigh and Bronze in their own little struggle.
-
paulOwens, it's enormously hard to predict the end right now with any accuracy, since it's so very far away, but there is a certain amount of evidence already to suggest that Garp, at the least, may decide to at least refrain from fighting, after what he went through at Ace's death. Sengoku retired for completely different, albeit related, reasons, and until we see more about him in the current time, seems like a shot in the dark to guess which direction he'd take if an all-out war does come about (and I believe it will).
-
@ Urouge - I get that they dont have to get along. But Akainu brutally killed Ace right before Garp's eyes, Garp wanted to kill him straight after that as well. So I hardly see Garp just going "oh I will just forget that for the moment and fight all these pirates". Relevant point with the Sengoku vs Rayleigh though, that would be epic even though for some reason I see Rayleigh dying before the end of the series/war.
@ I survived the buster call - I totally understand its practically impossible to predict what Oda has planned for the final war since we're practically just half way through the series. I simply thought of starting a discussion that interest me as I find the rest of the discussion either repetitive or not really interesting. Just to pass my time really to hear what other folk thought about this ^^

Fighting pirates and fighting your grandson are two different things. While he would surely look to avoid confronting luffy again or perhaps even go so far as to save luffy when he's in danger , am sure Garp would partake in any war that happens near the end, as a marine.

What is the OP Character Tournament 2011 exactly? (I hope it's ok to ask that in this thread)
-
The most popular character wins.
You can vote for each nominated character
In the preliminaries there are like 5-7 characters from which 3 or something like that will pass to the next rounds that are usually 1vs1.
You can campaign for the character you like OR against the opposing character.Look here if you want how the Tourney is in general.
And weren't you around when last year's tournament was still running ?
-

I really doubt the final battle WB spoke of will simply be a remix of Marineford with the SH and Allies in place of WB vs. Marines and many WG officers instead of Shichibukai.
