I hope we get new admirals, it would only make sense.
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
-
-
Nope, I don''t think so. It would be most illogical. Times are changing, we can have new Admirals who don't fit in the old theme let alone being "Akainu no. 2" "Aokiji no. 2".
As for Sakazuki and Kuzan, I guess they'll be called their real names from now on.
Lefts Borsalino… Will he get his old bame back as well.
And if there is anyone I can see becoming an admiral, it is the wild card Bogart
-
What do you suppose Chopper would call Law if he were addressing him??
Law? Mr. Law? Trafalgar? Trafal-guy?
Serious question by the way.

Well, I guess so. Hmph, we'll see soon enough.
Oh god, I'm waiting for that magical moment when all this "who's the next admiral" can be left behind. It's killing me really. The waiting I mean. There are so many possibilities even if we rule out most of the VAs:
Onigumo, Doberman, Bastille, Strawberry or Bogart. They are those possibilities in my opinion. Although Bastille and Strawberry are just wild guesses, or I simply couldn't rule them out.Bogart would be the most interesting though. As much as I'd love to see Doberman getting developed, Garp's right hand man is the better choice.
I'll stop right here, because I don't want to repeat myself yet again.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
By the way, Bogart....
Am I the only one who kind of sees he haven't aged at all in >10 years? We saw him next to Garp in chapter 0 and looked just as he did in the CobyMeppo coverstory.
!
In ch. 0, he looks a grown up man, who got used to Garp's antics a long time ago.!
One of the coverstories: no sign of aging, meanwhile, Garp's black hair turned into white.Am I looking way too much into this?
-
I have a feeling Bogart will be more involved at some point, or at least I hope so. I've always been interested to learn more about him.

He's the only one who could survive near Garp.
He ought to be very very strong.
-
What is his rank, BTW? He has the cape, so I'm guessing he's a captain.
He could also be a commodore or a rear admiral, I suppose. -
What is his rank, BTW? He has the cape, so I'm guessing he's a captain.
He could also be a commodore or a rear admiral, I suppose. His rank?
I guess he's some kind of an… unranked marine. That'd be neat. Or stupid.
He should be at least Rear-Admiral then. -
I think Bogart is ranked, but follows/ed Garp, like how Tashigi is ranked but follows Smoker. However I don't think he was a rear admiral but likely a comodore, when he was with Garp. When we saw the Buster Call at Ennies Lobby, there were only a handfull of Vice-Admirals there but a whole slew of captains and comanders. The attack force of 200 that fought the Strawhats on the bridge were only captains and commanders. We don't know if there were higher ranks on the ships with the Vice-admirals.
But I do not see Bogart being a commander in recent years, he seems too strong.Hey guys. Could you help me with something?
Can anyone think of an evil character who was, how do I put it, too dumb to realize what they did was evil? I don't mean like Akainu or Hody, more like our real world Eichmann. A villain who really don't see what the hell he/she is doing as wrong or even consider the consequences and do it for whatever unlikely reasons. I'm thinking Wapol or maybe our dear world noble Charloss but I'm really not sure. Maybe the good people from Goa?Wapol would not fit that, he is dumb but he knew the concequences of his actions, he just didn't care. Charloss too, I mean he wanted to buy Keimi jsut so he could put her in a bowl with pirana so he could see if she could outswim them or get eaten. I think he knew the conqueneces what that would be if it did happen.
It's one reason why I see Wapol and Charloss as a true evil. They are not the same as Hody or Arlong, but still evil.Hatchi would fit that to a tee though during the days of Arlong Park. He seems nice and naive and didn't realize what the Arlong Pirates had done to Nami was wrong until years after she was forced to wrork for them, and after the Strawhats had defeated Arlong. But during the time of Arlong Park he didn't see anything wrong with forcing Nami to join their crew.
-
Did the Baratie Arc and Arlong Arc happen on the same day?? If so, Don Krieg and Arlong should feel ashamed of themselves

On another Topic.
Wonder what would happen if buggy' s feet were burned to ashes while they are separated from the rest of the body. Would buggy lose his powers? Would he have to carry those ashes everywhere? Would he be always flying? Or would he have to get another part of his body in the floor. I really don' t know if you can fool the devil fruit limitations like this.
Sorry if there is any mistakes in the grammar. -
How would you not notice your feat being burnt to such a degree?
-
That' s not the point i was trying to get to.
Ok, just Imagine that his feet fall on that Blood/fire cauldron at Impel Down obviously he can' t get they back, not even the leftovers. -
Well no one can move without their feet, unless he got replacements (peg-legged Buggy!)

Not too sure where to ask this, and it's probably been answered, but does Zoro no longer have his directional issues? http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c669/12.html

We don't really know for sure yet, but this certainly suggest he has gotten better. I don't count the fisherman's boat as losing his direction, he probably just assumed that little guy fished from the huge pirate ship.
-
He was also the first nakama to reach Sabaody, but it was suggested that Perona helped him.

Does Luffy really bite a hole in his thumb when he uses gear third?

It's my theory that Mihawk trained that issue away.

Trained away? Or Stabbed the problem away?

Strangely enough, yes. He's supposedly biting into his thumb joint, hence, "Hone Fūsen".

Question i'm not really sure if happen: I recall Enel talking about "reflexes, training to stay in logia bla bla" can someone tell if it really happen and which chapter ?

Not sure about Enel, but I remember Crocodile saying it in the anime, about training the DF to be more effective.
-
Yeah, i remember Croc but Enel also said something similar "i believe it was the time he was sleeping while still in logia form" .
-
The only thing I remember about reflexes on skypiea is this
http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v30/c281/14.htmlBesides that thing about crocodile, this is everything he says
http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v20/c178/5.html
nothing about reflexes there, and I've just checked this fight in the anime and nothing about reflexes is said either. -

something tells me that it has to do with haki + being trained by mihawk which we'll see in a comic flashback later on hopefully :)
-
all zoro had to do to train was to reach the opposite side of the small island (about 1km) and due to him getting lost so often he kept encountering strong monsters, while mihawk waited for him on the other side he never made it, but he got stronger anyways through slaying all the beasts. when he finally made it, mihawk was pissed, cut his left eye, kicked him and perona out a few days early from the castle, and voila #1 arrives at sabaody.

So Zoro is like the poster boy for animal cruelty?

Usopp lost some of his teeth at arabasta by the hands of Mr.4. How did they come back? :wassat: I know this might be stupid but I'm curious.

Glad more people remember that feat.
Usopp's teeth grow back because he's part fishman :ninja:.
Part sword-fishman, to be exact.
We did see a fishman in the flashback that really resembles Usopp.
Now to speculation, it IS possible that Usopp could be half-fishman, we only see the head of his mother with blankts covering her body, so she could be a fishwoman or mermaid. Add to that - she seems to not be a native of Gecko Island.
IF she was a native she would have told Usopp to "stay here" not "stay with the villagers"Seriously- it may be a long shot and a joke to think that Usopp is part fishman but I really do think that his mom did not come from Syrup Village on Gecko Island. I got a theory with more facts, this is copied form DA from one of my pics=
Fans have known since the early days (over 10 yrs now) that Banchina died "shortly after Usopp's father left" (Merry revealed this in ch 41). We are never told how old Usopp was or if Yasopp was a pirate before Usopp was born. Many think that Yasopp did not become a pirate until after Usopp's birth.
In chapter 0 Strong World, we learn that Shanks started to create a crew after right after the execution of Gold Roger. 20 years before the the series began Shanks firt met Yasopp on teh shore of Yasopp's home island Gecko Island.
Once that was revealed it was thought that Yasopp did not join right away but waited years before joining. I do not agree. In the recent databook, Oda says that Shanks started the crew with Benn Beckman and Yasopp. Lets consider that Usopp was 17 when the story began, add a year to round out 9 months for Banchina's pregnancy, that is only 18 years before the be series started. There is 2 years between that and when Shanks first started to create his crew. But add the several years that Yasopp was with his son, that is at least 4-6 years after first meeting Shanks before leaving Usopp for good.
Does anyone really think that Shanks would wait 3-6 years to create his crew? I don't, esp with a comment that Banchina made on her deathbed. I don't have my offical VIZ book right now, but believe it was to the effect of if she died, she wanted Usopp to stay 'with the villagers'. (every site online says that-

If Banchina was native, she would have said 'stay here'. But the "stay with the villagers" comment makes it sound as if Banchina is not from Syrup Village. My theory is that Yasopp did join Shanks when they first met and traveled around as part of the crew for 2 -3 years. Somewhere in those 2 years, he met Banchina and they became a couple. Three years after meeting Shanks, Yasopp & Banchina become parents. At some point Yasopp brings Banchina to his home village, Syrup Village, on Gecko Island. Some point when Usopp was young, Yasopp returns to Shanks' crew.
While we know that Usopp grew up in Syrup Village, it was never said if he was BORN there. In my theory, there are three possiblities=
1- Yasopp brought a prenant Banchina to Syrup village and Usopp was born there.
2- Yasopp and Banchina was on their way to Syrup Village but Usopp was born en route before the reached their destination.
3- Usopp was actually born on a different island but for some reason it wasn't safe and Yasopp decided to hide his wife and child on his home village.]()

Does Franky use Cola too shoot his beams? I'm thinking no because I don't think Vegapunk would use cola to power the pacifista's and he is using the same technology as in those to shoot the beam. So I think he uses the same fuel source as pacifista for the beam but possibly everything else runs off cola still.

We don't know yet, but he hasn't complained about Cola levels since the time skip.

Yeah that's what has got me thinking that his Beam (he used it the most out of attacks you would think use a lot of energy??) isn't powered by Cola.
-

Yeah, maybe that move in it's self doesn't rely on Cola.
He's used so many beams and no wind attacks yet. I really want to see Coup De Burst and how powerful that has gotten. Plus that will be the ideal time for him to mention his cola fuel source again. Either he only uses it for certain moves only now or he's just gotten way more efficient with it's usage.
-
When they were in the holding cell, Franky did mention that his cola tanks were full, just before he fired his radical beam. So I'd guess that he's just got more efficient with his cola use.

I don't know about Banchina being a Mermaid, but this is a good theory. First of all, remember that Roger disbanded his crew one year prior to his execution, so it's a whole year that Shanks could spend to create his own crew. Then three years later he arrives to Syrup Village. I doubt he was only with Ben at the time, I mean, he's been a pirate for atleast two years by that time. The thing is, I doubt he left the crew for several years in which he spend time with his wife and son, then left again. Or did it really happen?]()

ITs said that Shanks first formed the Redhair pirates with BOTH Ben and Yasopp, Shanks first met Yasopp 20 years before the begining of series, yet Usopp was born 17 years before the begining, three years after Shanks & Yasopp met. Then add whatever ammt of time Yasopp stayed with his wive & son, we know that Banchina died 'shortly after Yasopp left' . Funny thing is that 'short time' could be 6 months to 2 years, we just don't know. So we assume at least Usopp was anywhere aroud 3-5 when Yasopp left. That would be at the very least 5 to maybe 7 years after Shanks first Yasopp to when Yasopp left Syrup Village.
Sure it could be that Yasopp did not join until after he left his home. But the databook said that Shanks first started his crew with Benn and Yasopp. I really doubt that Shanks waited so long after Roger's death to start the Redhairs.
-
This databook was wrong on some things, so it can be wrong on this info as well. We know that Ben is the first mate, but we didn't see him when Shanks arrived TWO years after Roger's death to an island that is located in the same Blue as Logue Town. It doesn't make sense that Shanks started his crew with Ben and Yassop, what was he doing for the past two years? Sailing alone, or sailing only with Ben until he met Yassop? And also, did Yassop stay at Syrup Village for several years, if Banchina died short time after he left them? Ussop looks like he's around 5 years old to 7 at the time of his mom's death.

Did the Baratie and Arlong Arc happen on the same day? If so, that speaks volumes about Luffy and Zoro's endurance and makes Arlong/Hachi a bit lame

At least we know that some hours after Baratie fight passed.. Me thinks a day at least seeing as everyone is more or less fine and it is daylight once again

And Arlong Park probably was over whole buch of hours as well

Impressive that you remember small details like that from an arc that happened years ago.
We don't even see him eating, just holding takoyaki (his mouth is full, but could be sloppy drinking). But that pretty much confirms that he can eat normal food, despite lacking a stomach.
Not bad.

If a bag of bones like Brook can eat then i can see no problem in Franky stuffing his face

If a bag of bones like Brook can eat then i can see no problem in Franky stuffing his face
True!
But Brook can get away with "it's magic!", while Franky really doesn't.
Ah well, maybe his stomach is placed elsewhere now. Or he only chews and spits it out when the flavor wears off.
