My opinion is that BB will be the last pirate Luffy faces in the story. BB will the final obstacle to Luffy becoming the Pirate King, as to be the king you have got to surpass all the other pirates-in theory at least.
However he will not be the final opponent to Luffy, it will be the WG.Marineford arc showed that being the strongest pirate does not mean you are the strongest in the world.
All Luffy's allies can help him then against the WG rather than facing BB. I would be dissapointed if that fight was'nt simply SH crew vs BB crew.

BB will be the last enemy for luffy; It's been hinted at so many times. Most likely BB will kill shanks in an attempt to get the information out of him of how to get to raftel and where one piece is, or he might go after rayleigh luffy's sensei. BB is too dumb and to violent to reach raftel on his own, he'll have to try and kill someone in an attempt to reach the island and ultimately one piece.

I think BB will believe he reached one piece before luffy and will claim to be the true pirate king. I think BB will also try to gather legions of pirate crews under his control after he runs around claiming to be the PK.

SH pirates will stand against him, with help from the remaining WB crew, any crew that will be still loyal to WB, Shanks crew (if not killed by BB.) and any crew supporting shanks, plus the remaining super novas. (minus Kidds crew, they most likely will be on BB side).

Plus the marines will be there with coby, helmpo whatever face, the admirals etc trying to destroy whatever one piece is forever.

Plus the revolutionary army trying to destroy the goverment once and for all.

When the dust settles, who every is left stand will be king.

If the marines win, they would have killed off any major threats of pirates and the revolutionary army.

If BB wins, he brings an age of darkness.

If luffy wins, he'll bring an age of freedom to sail the sea and an age of humanity that will sink into the marines once and for all changing their wicked ways.

Agreed. Because no matter who becomes Pirate King, we saw with Whitebeard's death a surge of dozens of new Pirates, plus it inspired old ones. Just a thing I sat & thought about on OP, when you eat a devil fruit, how do you know or go about figuring out what power you have?
With some of the obvious, like Buggy's or Luffy's one day you stretch or disconnect your arm, but what about the other ones like turning into sand or a certain animal?
Anyone have an speculation on that?

Well Kaku and Kalifa from CP9 both ate unknown DFs and they found out how to use them pretty quickly so I'm assuming that its a sort of natural feeling to change into whatever your DF might be…

My idea if luffy became the pirate king is Coby as an admiral would keep chasing him but coby would also display a greater kindness and understand like luffy. Aokiji as the fleet admiral would respect luffy and wouldn't do things seen as evil like the 5 elders do.

Dragon would most likely also help restore the government and the kingdoms he gathered into a better support for people. Most likely ripping the celestial dragons out of power.

For some reason, i feel the government getting so violent and basically acting like pirates has to do with the void century. The history so dramatic it was stricken from all records and anyone who knew it were seen as threats to be killed.

In my opinion, not fat, but possibly tall. Fat doesn't suit him to me, even if he does eat alot xD He could grow taller, but I think his body proportions would be the same. Zoro and Sanji would probably still be taller than him, maybe Usopp too. Don't think Luffy's shape will change much, maybe his outfit? :D

Cant remember in which volumne it was but i think fresh water normally dont affect a user(so he could for instants shower without losing his power),but in large amounts(like a river) he still wouldn`t be able to swim.
So would lose his power here.

No, I think he said it doesn't Matter if it's sea water or fresh water, the thing that counts is how the water is moving. Moving water(Like rain, or a quick wave) won't do anything, because in a second it is gone, but if you were in the middle of a pool, or a sea, where your gonna be submerged in water that will stay for more then a few seconds, you become a hammer and can't move.

I think I recalled the other example–At Rainbase, at Croc's place, when he let the big banana crocs out, were they in a tank of fresh water? I got the impression it was illicitly obtained rainwater--just like the water from the moat and fountain outside, so it would have been fresh. Both Luffy and Smoker were affected, anyway.

We can say whatever water it may be, when its deep enough you would sink like a hammer as a DF user. I agree that it wouldnt make a difference to use a watergun with sea or fresh water..would both not effect the user because its moving (so the user dont lose his powers).

But Kairoseki does resemble the seawater(so i guess the important factor is the salt in some way) and also Morias zombies were weak against salt, so somehow seawater definitely has more effect on the user then fresh water…but still you need enough of both of it to make a DF user unmobile.

I'm thinking, all water affects devil fruit users(when their submerged), and they will become a hammer and sink and not be able to move.
But the seastone is seawater, and that makes the devil fruit user unable to use their devil fruit powers, and if they are close to the seastone for too long, they will become weaker and weaker.

O: First of all, let's discuss the problem of Devil Powered folks bathing themselves. People who eat Devil Fruit are "hated" by the sea, and cannot swim. The "sea" here can refer to anything from rivers, pools and baths to any kind of standing water. On a worldwide level, they are all the "sea." When these people enter the water, not only can they not use their powers, they have trouble moving their bodies at all. They might be able to struggle a bit, but it wouldn't do much good. That's if their entire bodies are submerged in the "sea." With less than half the body or just the limbs, it gets easier. Also, rain and dripping water have no effect at all. Therefore, hip baths or showers are the most common choice. Now, in Crocodile's case, "water" is the weakness of his very powers, so his abilities are robbed even in the shower. But it's not like there are enemies around when you take a shower, so I'd bet he would take them even with his powers being blocked. I was forgeting about that scene. Thinking more about TB itself. But my comment stands, in TB Brook purified zombies because they ate fish seasoned with salt.

And that raises a question: Could zombies swim or they would be hammers since they came from a df power? (swim in a pool or river with no salt and at night time)
