Quite obviously they will run into each other at some point, Oda basically already set up enough for us to believe so.
However i doubt it will be "heartwarming" due to Luffy not even seen him once before.

Then when he talked to whitebeard about calling ace back from hunting blackbeard he made a gesture indicating black beard made his scar ache. So is it possible that years ago whitebeard and shanks did battle and black beard was powerful/crafty enough to attack his face?
Shanks did say he wasnt being careless either when Blackbeard attack him.

Yes, Shanks confirmed that Blackbeard was the once who scarred him sometime between 22 and 10 years ago. When and how exactly are still unknown.

WG if you're looking at the greatest foe, but if trying to pin an individual, I guess Blackbeard is the closest to matching the criteria. :)

i think it'll be a long time until Luffy meets Shanks. first he has to get his full pirate crew, and it has to be a stronger crew than the Red-haired Pirates - and they are definitely strong if BB ran away at the sight of them. then Luffy himself still has to become stronger than Shanks. i'm not sure how long that'll take since we don't really know quite how strong Shanks is. still, he is a yonkou, so Luffy has to at least reach that stage before he comes anywhere close to meeting Shanks.
plus, Robin's with Dragon now, and he seems to have plans for her. you never know what'll happen after the timeskip.

I don't think so, I don't think it'll be as late as Pirate King. If I recall, it was "fine pirate", and I've always had the suspicion that Rayleigh is Shanks' father, and I'm expecting Shanks to be there after his training ends and ultimately revealing a bit more about Shanks.

Doflamingo's later convo had him explain that Moria used "the powers of the Kage Kage no Mi to escape" from the above scene.

I believe he foresaw PRECISELY what was going to happen to his hand, and not just merely reacted to the attacks of mihawk, since i doubt luffy is fast enough to dodge him.

However, it only confirms Moria survived Don's initial assault, Doflamingo even says that he wouldn't make it very far with those wounds.

…except that one of Moria's underlings is a world-famous miracle surgeon that will probably save his life despite he being in the brink of death.
Too convenient for Oda not to use him, right?
Specially since we know both Absalom and Hogback were with Moria after Thriller Bark and were still loyal to him (unlike some other character that shall not be named). -

No, I'm not trolling. It's a serious question, given this panel:
Personally I think it makes him a lot more interesting as a character. Super-chivalrous/perverted overly-passionate guy is cool and all, but adding that subtext of internal insecurity and willful determination really fits him.
It obviously wouldn't have a great deal of relevance in non-sexual One Piece though. And it's not like…whoever it is that makes them...have wanted for any encouragement for Zoro/Sanji fics.

What you mean by "until there is any visual confirmation"? There is visual confirmation in the page where Sanjuan Wolf is complaining, right beside his giant head you can see Blackbeard's raft…And about the "sexual" thing, if you want to keep the word this way then maybe the best translation would be: "What if Nami-san and Robin-chan get even more sexual bodies?"
Because this "But then what if they all got bodies even more sexual than Nnnami-san or Robin-chan?!" sounds like Sanji intends to make the male strawhat crew members look more sexual than Nami and Robin, which is disgusting, not to say that doesn't sound like the type of thing Sanji would say.

I meant visual confirmation about the raft's name. I see your point, honestly, I would have named it as raft myself, but I figured that most of the bitchy OP fans would appreciate it more if I simply left it in the Japanese. Why leave it in the Japanese? Because the word 丸太船 refers to a canoe-type vessel, not at all like the kind of raft you see in the manga. Try image searching the word on Google if you don't believe me. Rafts in Japanese (especially the type of raft Blackbeard is riding on) are called いかだ. Try Google image searching that one as well. I suppose the easiest solution would be to simply call it a raft, but as I'm not exactly sure what type of vessel that really is, or what Blackbeard's crew has named it, I left it in Japanese.About Sanji's line: are you sure that's correct? In the bubble right before it, he's talking about building up THEIR bodies （あいつら）with meals. The next sentence has no pronouns (to signal a new subject) so it'd be only natural that he's still talking about THEM （あいつら）and not suddenly himself.

The next sentence does have pronouns to signal a new subject: "Nami-san" and "Robin-chan". Names are pronouns.

Molokidan likes to keep translations as close to literal as possible, but I think he was too conservative this time Still, he's an expert translator, with a lot of credit to his work. -
It had nothing to do with it being a conservative translation, he just missed a particle. Ga, in this case, was marking Nami and Robin as the subjects of that clause.
He's right that the sentence in question has no subject, but the subject of the previous sentence wasn't "them" anyway. It was "I," and it was omitted there, too.
EDIT: Not, of course, that all this stuff necessarily makes him a "bad" translator. He just needs someone to check over his work, or a little more time to double-check it himself. Either way, Binktopia is not about to give up the "honor" of being the first to release in order to have more accurate translations. And really, they've got some of the better translations, anyway.

In an old SBS or Interview(don't remember what exactly) he told us that he is 3 chapters ahead. But like I said this was several years ago. His schedule could have changed. Especially during his work on Stong World his schedule could have changed to 1 or 0 chapter ahead. This could also be the reason why he took a 4 week break. We know he only took one week off. This means he could have used the remaining time to go back to his old schedule.
But to answer you question. If Oda would die tomorrow we would get 3 chapters at best -

How about you make a serious thread?
Most of Amazon Lily is weaker than CP9, especially without Haki. And they can see him normally and not just detect his presence in the area like Haki would do. There are other people outside of Amazon Lily too.
