Does anyone know what to make of "唸れ" (unare)?

It's not a tradition. We just recently got the Gold Roger thing play over, and over, and over again, until our minds rot. It's as bad as the 5 minute recaps.

There is no "five minutes recap": The episode itself starts at 05m23sec (+ a few frames) with Opening and Gold Roger thingy… So it's only about two minutes for... Franky joining, Usopp rejoining, departure of Sunny-go, and that welcome the new and old members + ship christening party. It's not that much to complain about...

After watching the opening for who-knows-how many times, I've noticed that Brooke's afro does jitter a bit. So I wouldn't worry.:happy:

Yeah, I noticed after watching it again too. But still…with how much his head is moving, his 'fro should do more than just "jitter a bit".

i cant recall them ever animating someone's looks in the anime in a way that was dissapointing to me, they will do a great job with brook, he will be just as cool in the anime as he is in the manga

dude, it is tradition, look it up at the very 1 chap in the mange . just because it just started to show it in anime recently that doesn't mean its not tradition. i don't seriously understand why most of the guys hate this part which inspire the overall series

Because it's played in every single episode, after an opening that's already far too long. It gets really old, really fast.

The episode was pretty good, thought the new filler characters were very funny. It's going to be an interesting arc. Plus the opening was good as well

But there's one thing I've noticed, in front of the helm of the Sunny is a bigger version of the log pose. Looking back at the ships plan Oda gave us in the manga volume, I can't see anything like that. Did Toei add that in?

Yes, it was in the very first chapter of the manga, AS A SETUP. Have we ever seen it, the exact same, over and over again afterwards? Do we have a little 3 page setup showing us the exact same panels from the first chapter in every single chapter? No, we don't. It's not a tradition, and for whatever reason Toei decided that the people who watch OP no longer know what it's about, so they gave us the stupid crew summery filler and then the Gold Roger thing that takes far too long and costs us episode time.

It used to be 3 minutes of opening + ending, now it's 3 minutes of opening + Gold Roger. Nothing changed, same runtime.
And Jesus, anyone so bothered by it can easily skip the whole thing.

It's opening + Gold Roger + recap, which goes on for about 6-8 minutes. With the addition of previews, that leaves us with less time to actually watch the main section.

Though the recaps and Gold Roger intro are annoying, I actually don't care since this is filler. I just hope they don't do it when canon starts back up.

I just noticed the throwback to We Are in the new opening, where at the beginning Luffy is running off a cliff and stretching onto the ship.

No way to watch this episode for me yet. Veoh only shows previews (unless you download their player) and Mega Video for some reason is buffering the video every 2 seconds. Shit.

The animation is for my taste too clean. Looks often clean like digital which I dont like so much.

I think that this filler arc is stupid. I hope that it improves over the next two episodes (since the first two were more like one).

It's filler, it's best to lower expectations a bit, especially at the very beginning.

Anyhow, I'm liking the direction of the arc. It seems to have a nice adventure vibe like Jaya, and it really feels fresh compared to most of the arcs in the canon. Having some characters that seem likable doesn't hurt either.

The fillers are okay so far, it's still too early to tell what direction this arc will go. Though I'm loving Don Acchino's design, I don't really care for the other fillains. They just don't seem threatening enough I guess.

I just got done watching a decent sub of the last episode.

Looks like a fun episode.

-The backstory and the whole ''pheonix'' motif of this crew is a great touch. Good Toei is expanding upon this.
-Puzzles bounty is an interesting revelation. Pretty excited to see his fighting abilities to match an impressive bounty like that.(hopefully)
-What the hell is that dragonfly thing?
-Mr.Fabulous seems to have some funny interactions with some of the others in the group. He's really starting to grow on me.

Can't wait for the RAW.

person who had to sleep on the bottom bunk of a bunkbed for years, I thought it was really funny when Pazul(or Puzzle, whatever way you spell it) shot up in bed, only to smack his head because he didn't know there was anything over him. I have no idea why, it just made me chuckle ^^.
! Is it just me, or does his chain fighting really seem exactly like Paulie with his ropes? It's also a little obvious to me that after a little while with Luffy he's gonna drop the whole "despairing" thing. Especially now that Luffy's stuck on his ship.
! Gahh... I can't wait to see what happens next...

! This filler is shaping up to be somewhat interesting. Puzzle will obviously be inspired to continue his journey after seeing Luffy's determination. Anyway, the iceberg maze is pretty cool, and you gotta love Zoro at the end.

I'm hoping Don Acchino can live up to my expectations.
