Exactly like American versions of manga set in Japan. You have to assume they're speaking Japanese although the dialogue is written in English for obvious reasons.

Yes, it does have to make sense. The corpse obviously went somewhere, and it doesn't make sense for it to disappear when the other young versions of the characters replaced the older ones.

What does the Captain being a Werewolf have to do with anything? Schrödinger isn't the Captain, they're two different people with two different abilities.
