One Piece x Toriko Crossover by 2 different collaborations
Two different fansub collaborations have now released an SD and HD subbed version of the One Piece x Toriko crossover. Incidentally, both collaborations will continue to sub Toriko.

RE: New Opening 14 Discussion
I've been a Namie Amuro fan since way back, even before I started watching One Piece, and it is nice to see her using proper English in this opening - some of her early songs have lyrics like "Body feels exit" and "We will love long long time".

RE: 492: ''The Ultimate Tag-Team! Luffy and Toriko's Hard Struggle!
Bishokuya usually isn't translated at all.
The idea is that the hour block is an episode of both shows.
It's just splitting hairs to say the first half was technically Toriko and the second half was technically One Piece" because they were the same story.I'm not saying that it isn't one single story. I just thought some people would be interested to know that the crossover is really 2 separate episodes that were aired back to back, and that only the second part is technically OP episode 292, because that is certainly not clear from the previous posts in this thread. Since I was able to watch the whole thing at once, I personally don't care whether it is technically OP or Toriko or both or neither.

RE: 492: ''The Ultimate Tag-Team! Luffy and Toriko's Hard Struggle!
You're right. Look at this:
http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/onep/episode/summary/
http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/toriko/episode/summary/It's confirmed. The crossover was episode #1 of Toriko and #492 of One Piece.
Actually, the crossover was divided into 2 parts. There is a clear break in the middle, and both parts have an episode title, so although they are 2 parts of the same mini-arc, they are 2 separate episodes that were aired back-to-back. The first part, which aired during Toriko's timeslot (9:00-9:30) and ended with the preview for the next Toriko episode is titled "Jouriku, Gurume no Shima! Bishokuya Toriko Arawaru!" which basically translates to "Landing on the Gourmet Island! The Bishokuya Toriko Appears!" (Sorry, I haven't read Toriko, so I don't know how Bishokuya is usually translated). This is what is listed on Toei's Toriko site as Toriko episode #1. The second part "The Ultimate Tag-Team! Luffy and Toriko's Hard Struggle!" aired during One Piece's timeslot (9:30-10:00) and ended with the preview for the next OP episode is what is listed on Toei's One Piece site as OP #492. So the first half of the crossover is officially a Toriko episode and the second half is officially a One Piece episode. I don't think they should have done it this way, but meh, if you watch them together it doesn't really make a difference.

RE: 491: ''Landing on the Isle of Women - The Cruel Reality Tortures Luffy''
@No:
Brownbeard's name sounded weird. Wasn't it "Chi hige" or something along those lines ?
It's "Chahige" - in Japanese, brown is "chairo" meaning "tea color". So technically his name could also be translated as "Teabeard"…
! …which may be part of the reason he was ridiculed by Hawkins.

RE: One Piece 3D
What's That Book?
It is a 3D manga that you get for free if you see the movie. It comes with the old style red and blue 3D glasses, but they are attached to it, and I am still debating whether it is worth it to tear them out or not (maybe I should go see the movie again to get a 2nd pair…). It is all in full color, but not very thick, and half of it is Toriko, so there isn't too much there. Mostly some scenes from the movie - enough to cover the basic plot, a little bit of "making of" mostly focused on the 3D, a very brief overview of Sunny, and a portrait/description of each main character along with a short note about the movie from each of the VAs. And then the note from Oda.
As far as the movie itself, it exceeded my expectations as well. The 3D was done very well IMO - I actually hadn't seen a 3D movie since Avatar (it's just too expensive in Japan), and it seems like the technology has really progressed since then. Although it took a little while to get used to the characters not being in 2D, it was not distracting like I feared after seeing the previews. The plot is rather predictable and typical of One Piece movies/specials, but it was fun, and seeing Nami & Robin in 3D certainly didn't hurt. At least Toriko was stuck with the whiney kid this time.

RE: General Anime Discussion Thread
Yeah, it seems to be auto. It's always updated at Sunday 10am in Japan, exactly when the episode finishes airing.
..but damn, what a weird preview. What is Luffy saying?
Luffy is saying "One Piece, raishuu mo mitekure!" which translates as "Please watch One Piece next week too!"

RE: K-F One Piece 294
Alright, now ADC-Elites is history. how`s that, SakuraDestiny ?
and now K-F start to replacing Vegapunk
Yes, now ADC is completely replaced. As far as replacing Vegapunk, I will mostly stay out of that discussion except to say that our first few releases were far below K-F quality, although we steadily improved. I can't argue with K-F's overall quality as far as providing polished releases with almost no mistakes, but some people may prefer VP's style and effects. And of course VP definitely has a better title font (which K-F is more than welcome to use, but I doubt they will for reasons of consistency with their early releases, pride, or due to the fact that the guy who made it for us forgot to add an apostrophe…).
As for me, I have to hang on to the VP releases to make sure they don't disappear forever, but I am definitely rewatching all of the episodes as K-F releases them.
