I had always knew that 900 was not Saul and I was right.
Frist would be dumb to bring Saul back, it won't make since to see a zomified Saul coming back to life with Luffy's shadow and we don't need to see him getting beaten up to prove anything to Robin because she's already an offical crewmember and we don't need him to bring up the "sixth one" title. It'll be stupid, akward, dull, uninspiring, and nonsense. Just because Moria or Hogback came from the West Blue does not mean they would bring Saul with them
Even when the picture of 900 pops up people still believes it's Saul! I mean come on, This guy got horns, a mean firece face, a set of fangs, an wild long hair, this guy is huger then Saul and way bulker then Saul and this guy died 500 years ago; not 20 and this guy's name is Oz; not Saul, this guy is a firece warrior; not an Marine Vice-Admiral. I wish this whole "dead love ones to magically come back to life" wishful thinking would stop. During the Sea Train chapters, people keeps excepting Tom to be alive in Enies Lobby when it's been stated many times that he is dead.

I know people have randomly compared characters to just about EVERYONE aviable, from Mario to Sin City characters.

I saw the Alabasta arc in the anime before I read it in the manga, so I believed Zoro and Luffy would at some point mention Robin they had seen a poneglyph underground, and that they would return to Arabasta to research it, and that it would be the Rio poneglyph.
Of course I later realised it was just a filler.
EDIT: And I thought telekinesis was Buggy's special ability. And that Robin could control wind (When she was seen for the first time)

Well, I've been here for two years, ever since the Train Battles in Water 7 began. I love to make and see predictions. I was just now re-reading older chapters (Volume 25 to be precise) and a lot of thoughs came to my mind: "what predictions were people making back then"?
So, I propose a game: what kind of predictions would you or other people make if you were reading older chapters for the first time, and was still waiting for new chapters to come?
A few of my own:

After Blackbeard was revealed, I bet a lot of people would be predicting that they would follow the Strawhats to the "sky island" and would be the villains of the arc.

When I was reading Sky Piea, I predicted (correctly) that Luffy's rubber body would be immune to Enel's power. I based this prediction in the Logue Town scene when Luffy and Buggy were struck by Lightning: Buggy appared all charred, but Luffy was unharmed afterwards.

When reading the Sea Train fights, I though they would never reach Enies Lobby. Sanji, Franky & Sogeking would stop the train, while the others would arrive, and then the final fights would happen on the train.

In Alabasta, I was really waiting for a fight featuring Pell and/or Chaka. They seemed (and were) so cool!

I though Yosaku and Johnny would join the Strawhats by the end of the Arlong Park arc.
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

I was fooled by "deaths" every single time. Pell, Conis' father, I really thought CP9 killed Mozu and Kiwi when they went to Franky's hideout, and I actually expected the Franky Family-Galley La team to die in the Buster Call.
When I was reading Alabasta, I was suspicious that Miss All Sunday hadn't appeared or been mentioned during the aftermath. I checked Wikipedia, wondering if she'd really disappeared, and accidentally found out that she joined in the very next chapter I was going to read, heh.

I thought that Blackbeard is actually a good person.
I really didn't have any perdictions back than, not any that I can think of..I started with the anime, when the manga was at W7, something like that. when you're watching an on going Anime, you're not predicting anything, you're waiting first to catch up with everybody.

I just remembered another thing. Before seeing Rokushiki, I thought Kaku had some kind of Devil Fruit that allowed him to either fly or control the wind to let him move around Water 7 like that. I also thought that Buggy and Shanks were cabin boys on Whitebeard's crew, not Roger's.

I sort of had the same idea. I imagined after the Water 7 incident and the invite by the Elbaf giants, he would leave to go there, possibly form a crew and eventually meet the Strawhats somewhere down the line again.

If anyone gets that sort of treatment, it'll probably be a rotting Saul for Robin (being that of all the past deaths in One Piece, he was the most well preserved). Of course, that would be too morbid for Oda… and traumatizing for poor Robin-chan. ;_;

Some of mine that I can remember were that I thought that Usopp was really Kaku in a mask somehow from the future. Another was that Chimney would end up being a mermaid or fishgirl and join the crew at the end of the arc. The new ship would be named after Franky in some way and it would be a different style from a caravel.
As for a time when my prediction was right and wrongness ensued just look at the following quotes.

I did a lot of theorising about Shanks would turn out to be Luffy's father. Though I never said it was true, I put forward a lot of evidience on why it could be so, because based on evidience at the time thats the only person who it could be.
I'm fine that Dragon turned out to be though, Oda pulled the wool over all those that support Shanks might be Luffy's father. I never believed it, but dam, that was some of my fav. thoery work I put together for One Piece! :-D

Haha, the funniest one so far is easily the "Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe are CP10" theory.
As for me, aside from a couple of episodes of the dub, I read through most of the manga without knowing what colour things were. So one day when I saw that spread of the Strawhats and Franky, I thought he was Arlong returned (the metal nose replaced the snapped saw). I mean, I'd never entertained the thought that the fishmen might not have average skin colours…

- it was Galley La company who said that Merry was unfixable

When Aokiji talked about Luffy's grandfather, I thought it was Gol D. Roger but it was Garp. But still, Luffy has 2 grandfathers so the other could be… Gol D. Roger! ^^
