I was about to condemn it for being lazy but when you consider the massive number of OP projects Oda is juggling at the moment, it makes sense.
There's the Kamakura event and then the Universal Studios Japan event which he's both involved in, then the 10th Anniversary Celebration releases culminating in 10th Treasures.
He's been a busy beaver so I think we should cut him a little slack in that respect.
457 is still a sin against humanity though no matter how busy he's been.
whats wrong with 457?
I believe that was the chapter that dragged on and on and on. Kept delaying the obvious.

So that's what he's been doing. I knew it had to be some sort of project, since lazy and Oda are not one and the same.

This is absolutely fabulous ! I was waiting for these plans !!!
Somebody will be able to translate everything that is written on the plans ??
The shark is terrible !
There's a cannon in the mouth !!
thats the oddest place for the helm iv ever seen…(granted i havent seen a lot of places) how the hell is it connected to the rudder?
(why did Franky only make 8 sets around the table? thats not very hospital if they ever get guests/more members)
ROFL at the Sunny's mouth cannon!
Man this ship is awesome! It's got something for everybody!
I like Usopp Factory as well! I bet that will come in handy!
It does seem a little strange there's only 8 seats at the table, but I suppose when more members join (Brook!) they'll either make the table bigger or some will just sit at the bar or on the sofa
But one finall thing…Yay for Chopper's swivel chair! XD
Looks awesome, thanks!
Wow Sunny looks so awesome =D
But just a silly question, is that all the SBS in the vol. 46?
i think so. it was the same with merry-go, if i remember right
guys, has anyone discovered the title of #46?
awesome! the coolest ship ever!
wtf @ helm. i dont get it at all
thx for the sunny pic's dude
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Adventure in Ghost Island"
I don't care the realistic functionality of the ship, it's so awesome in so many ways!
A small yet very interesting detail I'd like to share: There's a giant fridge w/ lock in the kitchen which we all know Sanji has wanted since forever. Now based on Oda, the password is "7326" and only Sanji, Nami, Robin knows it.
Why 7326 you ask? Because pronounciation-wise 7(na)3(mi) = Nami, 3(also san)2(ji) = Sanji, and 2(also ni)6(ro) = Nico Robin, so the password is literally "Nami+Sanji+Robin", w/ Sanji in the middle and the ladies on his left and right.
Our cook put some thoughts into it won't you say? ;)
Great diagrams of Sunny.
Have we found out how many chapters the volume is?

Wikipedia says it is nine chapters long.
Yeah, its only nine chapters. Looked on S-Manga this morning when the "new volumes for WSJ" came out and it only goes up to "The Four Mysterious People of Thriller Bark" (who's ending is so awesome that I'm happy its ending there).
Fantastic volume, love the Sunny-go plans. The cover was a bit lazy (as many have said), but it's just so fitting I can't dislike it - especially with Brook so prominently featured. The title works well (it needed to be something generic like "Adventure on Ghost Island" or "Thriller Bark"). The title also gives parallels with Skypeia (whose first volume was "Adventure on God's Island"), which fits with the more adventurous less-plot-related nature of the arc so far. (Moria being an exception, but the arc is a lot more adventure-based than the last one was!)
I love where the volume ends - the end of 449 works so well as an 'end of volume' page. If this is the case then I am willing to predict that volume #47 will end on Chapter 459, as this chapter ends with the Strawhats declaring the counter-attack, and works similarly well as a 'volume climax' moment, particularly when juxtaposed with this one.

hes a fucking genius sometimes
You know, I don't care. That cover is awesome.
Amazing volume. Short on chapters and iffy cover but it's all much better from there starting with the inside flap:
"I'd like to present a magical song that I used to sing with my friends a while back. I'd like for you to sing it to any friend of your's when they're crying. This is the song."
Dooooon't cry
Dooooon't cry
'Cause I'm gonna give ya' a potato~
Actually no I ain't
'Cause then you'll fart
Legends are made of lesser stuff.
Then of course the fucking planet-shattering revelation of a NEW MASKED WRESTLER EMERGING FROM THE DEFEATED DINOSAUR'S MOUTH!!! HOLY FUCK!!!!!
I just got the volume. It's pretty cool, but yeah, the SBS is all the "SBS Special Complete Schematic!! Thousand Sunny-go!!"
And the end of the book has a lot of those pages instead of fanart. And it's only 9 chapters, I guess so it could easier end on a cliffhanger.
Oh mah fuggin Gawd. I want!
Also, the Pandaman story continues!
Great, chapter 449 was an awesome chapter to end this volume with.
Hopefully, volume 47 ends with chapter 459, what with
! the revalation of Brook and Laboon in that chapter.
I love all this hidden stuff that gets tossed into the volumes. The main site should most definitely chronicle Pandaman's journey. What volume did it start in?
@Battle:
From #46 SBS - A run down of the structure/layout of the Sunny-go.
BF – thanks! Nice ASCII art -- did you do that yourself?
2: Women's Room (Sofa couch, Dresser, Closet, Treasure Box (Nami's most likely)
3: Men's Room (x2 Hammocks - horigotatsu (traditional Japanese fireplace setting), Locker, Washing Room, cannon)
Ah, so Oda is keeping the sleeping arrangements dorm-style. Interesting.
And I'm guessing he was throwing a bone to the doujinshi crowd when he added the horigotatsu to the guy's room, because to fit all 7 of them (assuming Brook joins) around it on a freezing cold night, six of them would need to sit in pairs …
As for the cannon, I can see it now -- someone goes sleep-walking and accidentally fires it, destroying a nearby island.
9/10: Franky's Weapons Development Room - Usopp Factory Deluxe
Nice. Both have their own fab shops. Can't wait to see some of the inventions.
11: Robin's Nest - Weight Training area (Zoro)
Robin's nest? Is that really what it said? Tare_chan will be thrilled.
I think Crow's nest is the usual term. Well, regardless, this is interesting – since the room is designated as Zoro's, it would seem to imply that Zoro will be on perpetual, look-out duty, and that the crew won't be rotating that position anymore. This is good and bad. The good news is that Zoro has a finely tuned "danger radar", and can often recognize a potential problem faster than the others can. But the bad news -- as someone pointed out a few chapters ago -- is that when Zoro sleeps (which is something like 13 hours a day) he won't be a very effective watchman!
12: Energy Room (Cola Barrel Installation Area)
Nice! So here's where both the ship and Franky can refuel. I was wondering about the odds of them finding Cola on the next few islands. Looks like the problem has been solved already.
15: Library & Measurement Room
:wub::wub::wub::wub:
OK, that settles it. The next crew member needs to be a book-slinger.
I like how this tanko's SBS focuses only on the Sunny-go's schematics. The fan questions are great, but we get to see everything their new ship has.
can SOMEONE explain to me what the deal with the helm is… why is it in the front of the ship? sems to me very unpractical for some reason.
was there any reallife ships with a design like that (im not counting modern motorized boats, talking about ships with rudders)
Since it is a wheel now does that mean it takes less strenght to controll or is it still a feat to turn it in strong currents?
I like that everyone has their own space now. Franky and Usopp have space to build, Nami has space to draw maps, Robin can read to her heart's content in the library, Chopper has his medical room, Sanji's kitchen and easily accesibly fish, and Zoro's weight room. And Luffy likes it all (I wonder if he'll make the Sunny head his new special seat)

Well yhea, same thing as Vol.11 with Merry.
Does anyone know if there's a larger scan of the cover yet?
King Calamari: isnt this big enough?
[hide]

its just one page back (page 11) together with the sunny blueprints.
I'm not getting anything on my computer… my browser must be blocking the image then.
Is Brook blocking the Old Man with Wounds on the cover there?
ooh…. I can't believe I missed this. those blueprints looks awesome... though I have difficulty in imagining it in '3D' so... I don't really understand which room is where and how to get there. it's nice to know that every SH has their own room for work. but... is it true that Robin has her room on top of the mast?? wow.... she sure likes high places ^_^ and to mention Zoro's wheight training is also around there, the mast must be very strong.
LOL at the lock code..... so creative XD
@dinty: well...... I think they have their fav spot on top of the mast is just because they love to have their own space away from 'noises' made by other Strawhats, right?? ^_^ tries to hide her ear-to-ear grin, but failed misserably aarggh.... you nailed me right there. yes I'm thrilled when I see that XD
i thought that Zoro has his room on top of the mast
??????????????????????????????????????????????????
I love the new front cover for this volume!
ah is that so?? hmm… must be a missunderstanding then, I thought Robin's nest means that Robin has her room on top of the mast, argh…. I wish I could understand those blue print.
btw, does Franky made a bathroom on top of the library??? wow he is so confident in his skill, what if the water leaks?? those books will be in danger =S
Got it today.
I liked this volume actually. I was a bit skeptical since I didn't really like these chapters when I read them weekly, but they seem a lot better as a whole.
The cover's pretty cool too.
Eagerly Anitcipating Better scans (and hopefully translations) of the Thousand Sunny stuff!
Looking through the volume I noticed that the lion Nami saw in the beginning of Thriller Bark has Absalom's face (and he has the lions) and that the waver is one of the things in the Soldier Dock (it just has a new head on it). Didn't notice either part intially.

That would be wonderful ! The one who'll translates ALL that stuff would be my bride… Then I could translate it in french !

You deserve a large slice of any pie of your choice for that find.
I've been waiting so long to see the blueprint! BTW, I notice that there's no picture of the men and girls' rooms. I think you must've left it out. Either that or I'm not seeing it for some reason.

Meeting Hogback was the best thing that ever happened to him.
I've been wondering if it isn't a coincidence that he's going to duel with Sanji given Sanji's ability to rearrange people's faces ^_^
hmmm thats interesting i always wondered where people put canes when they're not using it. Apparently on on their elbow region. i always figured they just kept in their hands.
You deserve a large slice of any pie of your choice for that find.
Yay! Pie rocks!
And to game2005: The volume doesn't actually have anything about the living quarters. I was a little dissapointed about that, but I'm sure we'll see them eventually.
