Not to mention impossible he took that damn explosion point blank…

I just thought of something that I totally ignored until now. Did the Buster Call battle ships blast Rucchi actually? I mean wasn´t he inside the same room Luffy towards whom the cannon fire was directed at?
-
well i think oda doesn't kill secondary characters so that the death of the major characters will have more inpact on the readers
-
Every character who has been killed in op is assumed dead until proven otherwise ( aka seeing him walking like nothing happen 3 second later or 4arc later) .
People love to say "nobody dies in one piece" it's more like "no named character who was one the main character of the arc dies" , i remember people saying nobody in skypea and alabasta died , to all those who think that , prove me that each shandian and alabastian present at the end of those arcs are the ones who got smoked by ener or the rebel/royal army ; and i'm not talking about walking zombies like chaka , pell , wiper , kamakiri , laki , gan forr , friggin pagaya and all the named characters who are protected by the immortality granted by the fact that their name was mentionned during the arc .
-
Dann sag ich danke, Bruder
Kein Problem .
Da ich spät geantwortet habe und das hier off-topic läuft und die meisten es eh nicht verstehen können, sag ich mal: ignoriert es.
Yeah, that was german, folks . -

-
ich hab die flüster-flüster-frucht….lol versteh euch auch hahaha
But to topic-----
Nobody in OP die which the reader of the manga seeing introduce or could have a relation to him (like you understand the feelings of a chara and you identify this chara with yourself or something else:happy:) -
Whispering Whispering Fruit? Wouldn't that mean your speech would be permanently fixed to…whispering? XD
I think we should get off of Pell. That has been bitched about since the end of time it feels like, we just need to leave Pell and his "incident" alone and go else where on this topic.
-
and go else where on this topic.
you are right! SPIES!! SPIES!!! also luffy's voice in rtl2 is amazing!!!!
SPIES!!!! SPIES!!!

Oda killed Brook, and he's a major character
-
@Impel:
Oda killed Brook, and he's a major character
You sir, win the internet… twice.
-
okay .. what's going on in here?
-
@Impel:
Oda killed Brook, and he's a major character
But he's miraculously alive AND walking on water… Damn, he gotta be Jesus himself, dude. ;-P
And Oda did kill Gold Roger.. so?
Just no point in there..
-
And Bellemere…
-
and miss monday (16 char…)
-
And everyone on Ohara…
-
I somewhat understand what people mean by saying folks dont die on OP, for example good guys who are playing a role in a current plot. We got many like that, we got the albasta arc (everyone who we thought die from whisky peak to the all out war in albasta), we got the enel arc (everyone who we thought enel killed?)
-
@Van:
You sir, win the internet… twice.
for crying out loud SOMEONE finally got the picture!

i think some one has discussed this in a thread before. seems to me like the blackbeard vs ace thread and ask whether do u think ace will die. Chars do die in one piece, if u had noticed it, it appears onli in flash backs. Tom died, gol d roger died, bellemere died, hirruluku die, kuina died, and su did ussopps mum. Those in the current story line have died before. I tot that Cabaji died after being slashed apart by zoro and now he is stil alive! The closest to death was pell suffering that 10km wide explosion. Yet he stil did not die yet.
However eric was knocked into the sea by nami and would naturally die. To prevent death i think oda u make it like someone saved him at the last moment or something like tat -
Zoro did kill the Whiskey Peak bounty hunters and the Baroque Work number who asked him to join.

I think Oda not killing characters is a way to keep the story more random, as there are more opportunities for twists, because you never know whos going to pop up again and say "Remember me? Let's fight." The main evidence of my point is Coby and Helmeppo. They were in the first arc then come back a couple hundred chapters later able to compete with the SH's. We might see a possible re-occurance of Don Krieg or Kuro later in the series. Hell, we might see Arlong later on in the Merman arc. You just never know what Oda's gonna throw at you.
-
Yeah I have to agree with Sanctum, it can get ridiculous sometimes (Pell and the Alabastia explosion) but I don't think its a bad thing. I'd like to see the old enemies return (though I don't wnat the former arc villians to get rematches with Luffy, that'd just be redundant).
-
Lot's of people and I mean lot's… (lol I am counting arabasta soldiers, Oharaians, Marines and Arabasta rebells singly)
Bellamy is confirmed NOT dead... Oda would not make villan's die well MAIN villans...or secutary villans (like Alvida) I bet it would most likley end up all the bad guys would come join up and battle Luffy's crew... 0_0!
-
Sorry if someone already asked, you could just direct me to the page.
But… (Enies Lobby arc ending spoiler)! What became of the CP9? Enies Lobby was destroyed right? Are they dead? Or are we expecting mini-arcs soon?
-
Bellamy is dead, Ms. Monday and Mr. 9 are dead too.
-
Bellamy is dead, Ms. Monday and Mr. 9 are dead too.
The first and the last yes, but I have my doubts about the one in the middle. Oda makes it clear whether someone dies or not, and somebody said earlier, all the deaths have been in flashbacks. Then again, remember folks, these aren't normal people.
-
What about the side stories of Baroque Works?
-
Bellamy is dead, Ms. Monday and Mr. 9 are dead too.
Bellamy: This has been largely speculated, but there is no confirmation. It was off camera.
Ms. Monday: Taking an explosive arm to the neck? Hello, this is One Piece.
Mr. 9: Again, since when is getting blown up and sent flying into a building "death" in this story?
-
Jyabura got kicked to the neck by Diable Jambe… He looked damn dead
-
All of em looked damn dead(expect Kaku), but they aren't.
-
In the anime, it looks more like Kaku dies. Lucci just passed out. And Nero is without doubt dead.

Yeah, Oda only seems confident in killing off characters when he feels he has exhausted every possible idea that could be done with them and that their role in the story is finished.

I want to ask why you bumped a thread that was last active in 2007 to quote a poster who's been banned, but I don't know how to do it in a tactful way. So I'll just be upfront about the fact that I'm not meaning to sound condescending or rude, but I'm aware it's probably going to come off in a way I don't intend and I was too curious to just not ask. I don't mean any disrespect and I don't have anything against you.

Just observing, but I don't pay attention to the dates of posts I read and sometimes not even the poster when I decide to respond to a post.
