Anyone else think they know what it is?
I think Ussop might use it against garp, and possibly OWN.
Atleast, its what I hope..

Ok, it might seem possible that in a continuum where quantum physics does not apply, 4-3 is not 8… Dude, what the fuck are you on about?!
edit
Where on earth did you pick up that he'd own Garp when even Luffy is pretty much powerless against him?
I think Kabuto is made with Dials.

Im not saying he WILL own garp absolutly, but I think atleast, Kabuto(Usopps's weapon) will help them run away from garp.
@Impel:
I think Kabuto is made with Dials.
That's what everyone assumed, but it's doubtful. All of Sogeking's bullets were special Pachinkos.
Frankly, I want to see him use a dial-gun.

I hardly doubt Usopp will have anything to do with that. Usopp is still too much of a wussy to take on the badassness that is Garp.
Ture, but as the Mugiwara marksmen, he's probably going to return fire on Garp's ship, whether wth the new ship's cannon and whatever other gadgets it has or with his own inventions remains to be seen. And I'm fairly sure that the bag attached to the end of the Kabuto has a dial in it, he fired that Fire Bird Star without any ammo, so maybe a fire dial? And I agree with Terek, a dial gun would be awesome.
Uh, didn't Usopp say that Kabuto had dials in them? Anyway, before the flamers come:
Here's a simple guess, it uses jet or some other dials. The longer Usopp holds back, the more power his shots generate, ala Megaman, a charge shot. So, his attacks get stronger the stronger he pulls back that sling.
Uh, didn't Usopp say that Kabuto had dials in them?
No, actually. Usopp mentioned in Skypiea that he could upgrade Nami's Clima-Tact and his Usopp Hammer, and in the Sea Train Nami mentioned Usopp's modifications to her Clima-Tact, but nothing was mentioned about Kabuto.
it is logical that he used dials in it. I mean : he gave Nami an improved climatact with dials and would built his new weapon without them ?
Can dials run out? Like can the fire dial just stop making fire or something. Or does it always do what its designed for? Like I would hate for Usopp to have to make a brand new weapon when the dials run out.
dials can run out, and be re-filled. dials don't produce whatever, they absorb it and shoot it ou.
The impact and reject dial can do that, absorb blows, and put them back out, but I'm not sure about things like jet or fire dials. I mean if you had to make a fire dial, you would assume they had trouble making fire in the first place, and how do you refill a jet dial? Maybe that's why it's extinct, I don't know.
Do you think it's possible that Usopp learned how to modify dials? Because, although we have no idea how the Climatact works, it seems like to make it he would have had to combine/modify dials.
now that ussop rejoined, he can explain more on kabuto and perfect-climatacts' upgrades…
best dial= axe dial
that slingshot is way to overrated, you guys think its going to be some huge thing…
I mean that huge fire attack he used on the flag barely put a hole in it....
franky's fire > Usopp's
dials are living animals, they don't need to be refill.but I presume they can die.
Usopp can't have an axe dial and he doesn't have a jet dial. Axe Dials are too rare and only Enforcers have them and he already said at the Davy Back Fight when they asked him if he had a Jet Dial: "How do you expect me to have something like that?"
which dials does ussopp have?
i know impact, others?

Apart from Impact, he has at least a Flash Dial and a Breath Dial, since he used those against Luffy. Can't remember if he has more.

franky's fire > Usopp's
What are you talking about? That firebird burnt the whole flag down. Fire doesn't instantly destroy everything.
Anyway, few people are saying that it's going to be a huge thing–quit acting like we're overreacting.
Now that we know that Usopp has no jet dials and he never said he used dials, these people have a point: what is Kabuto's secret? Does it have this incredible power, or does it have a secret compartment that dispenses mints?
Who knows...

I know that he has voice dials and cloud(milky dials) dials. We see the voice dial when Ussop records his own voice when he says the snake is harmlesss(can't remember the chapter he said it in. Also after the SH's land back in the Blue Sea(after Skipedia) Ussop mentions that the Cloud dial is the only one that doesn't work in the Blue Sea. Maybe he modified the cloud dial so it could work in the Blue Sea. I persume he has every dial avaible dial that he could get his hand on in Skipedia. Impact, light, breeze, heat, cold, etc. dials. He may or may not have a reject dial since we are told that reject dials are rare.
Well, we did get a setup for Kabuto's "Secret" in the tunnel. . . and as Mr. All Sunday pointed out, he's the most logical person they need to retaliate against Garp right now. The Kabuto might not be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it'll probably do something interesting. I mean, it's Usopp - he's probably the most creative of the Straw Hats (which Franky or Sanji coming in at second, I would guess) and a lot of his inventions do some pretty fun stuff.

The recent chapter seems to prove otherwise.

Is Franky less creative than Usopp? Anyway, we have to wait for another year or so before we can have an absolute answer for this thread.
I think Kabuto's secret was its portability. How it could mysteriously appear and disappear is amazing. Also, I would dispute the notion that it's 'implied' Usopp used dials to construct Kabuto, since (frankly) the Clima-Tact did some impressive stuff even before dials were introduced.
…
On a final note, do not forget that 'kabuto' = 'helmet'; that might offer a bit of a clue as to Kabuto's 'secret'.
Well, don't forget that Usopp is a liar.
Well…he didn't say anything to be considered a lie, he got cut off...

That's the secret I want to know about too.

It was constructed by some lame silver haired dude with glasses.
But seriously, the end of Kabuto looks like the protrusion on a Kabuto beetle's head, I think that might be what it refers to.
I can't figure out how it could relate to a helmet otherwise.
Well, don't forget that Usopp is a liar.
Now, you should know it isn't that simple. Usopp's not simply a coward or liar in everything he does. People generalize the concepts of the characters too much.
That's the secret I want to know about too.
Probably the same way Garp made that gigantic cannonball appear out of nowhere; it's a shonen manga. Reminds me of Zelda actually; how the hell can Link carry all these huge weapons and devices when he doesn't have any apparent bag?
Japanese magic.

if you look closly in TP he pulls everything out of that pouch on his side
Link has a bag of holding

franky's fire burnt up plutons blueprints really quick
and yes a great strong fire can incinerate things almost instantly
Well its best to think about the size of both objects one was basically a book while the other was a huge flag that could be easily seen throughout the island.
Well, based on the speed of the flaming object, that would change how fast it would burn up. The Firebird Star was moving very fast, so it would have burnt a hole straight through the flag, and then spread quickly, which is what happened.
I think the secret is that he took the mechanisms that makes the dials do what they do out of them and somehow incorporated them into the Kabuto. What dials, I dunno.
Well, I want to believe that there are Dials in Kabuto, but how could there be?
First off, the blueprints was paper. Paper burns much easier than a flag made of some type of cloth.
I dont see how he upgraded it with anything else but dials. What else did he buy to get some upgrades from? Exactly.
hello first post yipie
back to tophic
i do belive even though Ussop said something else that the Kabuto has a jet dial and maybe a flare dial
I don't really like Kabuto… :S I don't understand how it could be better than his slingshot, his slingshot was more charming and it fitted him better than this super fantasy mega slingshot...I hope he will a get a new weapon in the future to sue instead of Kabuto.

he bought the upgrades from sniper island..
just joking.. nyways i hope the next arc we get to see an explanation regarding kabuto.. i was hoping he would use it to snipe garp & co. but hey..ussop will get his shining moment soon..

but the pluton blueprints were incredibly old they would burn up if you set a mach next to it, old paper burns very fast
The secret of Kabuto is… That there is no secret... ussop lied like usually

Usopp doesn't lie about stuff like that. Really, people generalize "coward and liar" when speaking of Usopp too much.
His lies are either blatantly obvious (I once killed 10 giants) for comedy purposes or "lies that convey his dreams" (pirates are coming!). Remember the Kuro arc–that was a good arc.
His lies are rarely "bull shit" like that. If he says there's a secret, there is one. Of couse,it still might be a stupid thing that would impress Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper.
Maybe it's the fact that Kabuto can fire from such a distance that it makes rifles useless? In the sniping scene, those marines did complain that their ammo couldn't reach, yet Usopp's could. That's weird for a slingshot, since a bullet can go 4 or 5 blocks through brick without stoping....
And on that note, boo for the "Usopp with a gun theory".
lol, maybe he'll use it to kick Jimbei's ass… That would make my day.
