ONE PIECE × McDonald

-
The One Piece is gonna be a burger with fries.
-
It'll never be better than Hungry Days collab
-
Forgive my ignorance but what the heck is on the chicken on the right sandwich? Corn? Rice? Beans?
-
you got to be kidding me this has to be announced shortly after i left japan
-
@MetaMario Looks like it's a yuzu-flavored grated daikon raddish chicken tatsuta. What a mouthful!

I like Robin's expression. I'd like to think she knows this thing is extremely stupid and is dying inside.
Also, notice Sanji. He's holding an orange, or some other kind of piece of fruit. He's staring into it, while not really looking at anything else. You know what I think that is? Cause a chef of his caliber isn't going to waste his time or attention on greasy fast food.

The only way this advert would have made sense for me is if it was something like a "Vega" burger or some actual food directly inspired from the manga.
Like "oh cool there's a Vega cola and Vega burger exactly like in the manga" etc.I totally agree with your post honestly, this collaboration may make sense in terms of money and marketing, which is good for McDonalds, but for the rest..it's 100% stupid.
The picture of Roger about to be sentenced to death and who only thought about fulfilling his last "duty" and making sure someone will go search for the One Piece, has been turned into a picture of Roger holding what? A burger...! It's worst than a parody in my opinion.
Okay this is just marketing, I shouldn't take that too seriously, but still...
-
The image they use of Roger is fucking criminal. XD
Are they implying MacDonald's was his last meal and that he fucking ate it on the scafold, while two scared marines waited to stab him??
XD Maybe that's why someone had time to ask him about One Piece -

I am way more angry at this then I should be. Like, these people have flown in the sky and explored new worlds, and they're all elated about two sandwiches that'll probably give you the runs.
-
have you ever tried mcdonalds over in japan?
-
Admittedly I am basing this on U.S McDonalds which tend to be terrible. I assume Japanese have it better?
-
@onemoment it's not that worse off than the fried chicken sandwich that they have in their convenience mart which adults eat as a meal. I won't necessarily say that it is a healthy kids bento but it is a lot less greaser and less fattening than the States for sure. The bun seems to be rice and not the sugared bun you usually get. The bread in asia countries is also generally less packed with sugar and fast food meals have way smaller portions.
It's really not that bad and is pretty much a slightly more greasy version of a bento/sandwich. I mean, the ingredients are things you can find in a bento box over there too.
I'm saying a lot but really, you'll get it once you buy one of the burgers in any Japan fast food store and realize that it really isn't that unhealthy. But you'll also likely hate the fries because of how bland they might taste to your palate.
