It’s actually mostly Mike. Lead wise, at least. Some of the episodes actually list so many there’s two columns.

Explains how they got it all done so quickly lol
-
Any other noteworthy names?
-
@Skippy It’s all people who have already worked on it I think. Pretty sure all the multiple director ones credit Mike Mcfarland, Tia Ballard, Aaron Roberts, Nazeeh Tarsha, and Marcus D. Stimac.
-
Anyone have a handy clip of the new Ace voice? Not the Wano one here that may or may not be Travis, but the one we last heard. I forgot he got recast briefly in the dub.
-
Damn....I was hoping the Reverie eps would have landed on FUNimation today! No luck. :(

I didn't even know One Piece was still on Hulu, I watch Crunchy for Sub, Funi for Dub, and Netflix in the background while I do stuff, because autoplay

This doesn't sound so markedly different from the clip I'm listening to in Wano side-by-side; could be another actor playing a good voice-match though. Wouldn't be surprised if the flashback-sound-distortion just makes him sound a little different here.

Can anyone tell if Hawkins is Talesin? I remember people claiming he wasn't doing the voice after Dressrosa, but I can't tell for sure. If Travis is back for Ace, maybe he came back for Hawkins too
I've listened to a few episodes of him and I'm pretty sure he's voiced by whoever he was recasted as last arc. His delivery is way too different from when we saw him in Sabaody--not nearly as monotone, stiff, and analytical-sounding. I preferred the old voice's inflections/acting style, but the new dude is doing a great job in his own space.
I'm still on the fence about Tama's VA. Safe to say I liked Momo's voice better, insofar as kids go. The Tama voice is just a little too high to be fully comfortable (for me). I'm sure it'll grow on me, and hopefully the actress gets more comfortable in the role as we move along here. I'm watching these episodes like four times each, lol. So wonderful to see Wano and the new art style / gorgeous animation dubbed. Very hyped

Mike liked a tweet where someone was raving about Travis coming back.
-
Probably because episode 916 is the end of "Act One"
-
Hey, man. I’ll take another episode.
-
It's pretty amazing how far we've come, actually dubbing the same arc as it's airing in Japan. After the big periods of uncertainty, I'm so glad that the cast and crew has stuck with it.
-
Any one else wish Okiku’s voice was a little deeper/sharper? It’s a very soft voice for the character.
-
@Captain-Krupp I am shocked that Bleach thousand year blood war is not on the list
-
Looks like they redubbed all of Sengoku's lines in the Marineford flashback during the Reverie episodes with his new voice actor
-
This post is deleted!
-
They did the same with Blackbeard in Episode 890
-
I thought Travis did return based on that one clip you posted
-
They actually cast a Trans Woman as Kiku! AWESOME!!!
-
Oh, that’s great!
-
Another batch of Wano episodes TOMORROW. We eating good.
-
I know right, i hope they release on time with no issues
-
@Zephray that could indicate to us that they may even now have 3 teams recording, more possible evidence that they intend on getting caught up next year.
This may not be the only month we get 2 sets dropping.
It makes sense with what Anthony Bowling stated on the One Piece Podcast.Mike McFarland is also working on Chainsaw Man, which has 2 more episodes left to run on the dub, providing he has nothing more on the horizon for now (likely until Attack on Titan resumes) he'll return full time to One Piece.
-
I’m just floored that the dub is now, officially, less than 3 years behind. 916 aired on January 5th, 2020.
-
In romance dawn Luci predictably plays Anne, but I was actually surprised that Ian plays spiel like cho does in the original.
I say surprised mostly just because the main cast tends to play a lot more minor roles in the original than in the dub, and unlike Anne and Nami Spiel clearly isn’t just prototype Brook lol. Nonetheless glad they did it. It’s neat.

The Reverie episodes did NOT appear on FUNimation streaming today, despite today being four weeks to the day from the episodes releasing on Microsoft.

Last I checked on my sony app about a week ago, the voyage eight episodes weren’t actually available on the Funi app, despite claiming they were up in the language listings. (Like, they claim they’re up, but when you try to select them the “uncut dubbed” option isn’t there.) Are they up for everyone else? Maybe the android app on Sony tv just sucks.
(Just checked the Apple app and the voyage eight episodes are playing there fine.)

Boy, do I hope we get them every two or three weeks. That’d be a dream. I’m feeling great right now. The episodes are coming out so fast I barely have enough free time to rewatch them.
Skimmed around to hear new voices. Ashura and Denjiro sound solid enough. Still meh on Otama. Tengu king sounds great. OTsuru sounds perfect. Still iffy on Kiku (feels too warm, not sharp enough), but glad they got a trans actor to play her. Listened to a handful of the Kaido lines in his fight and am so giddy over his voice. Haven’t loved a voice this much since Shiki.
Oden also sounds great, btw. He gets a lot of lines in one of the episodes.
-
@G1Ravage a few months back there was a delay and we ended up getting two voyages at once on Funi, which I liked actually. Maybe we’ll get 3 this time or maybe they’ll start showing up on Crunchy Roll as well. It’s almost been a year since the merger, it really is about time they get over there.

And, presumably, the gap will get smaller very quickly once they reach the episodes delayed by COVID and the Toei hack.
-
I haven’t really cared about the Blu-ray releases being so far behind, but now I’m bummed about it because I’d really love to watch Wano on bluray. But at the slow production rate of those, it seemingly won’t be out until 2024. Here’s hoping Film Red at least comes out in a few months.
-
Movies would be great! I'm also hoping once they catch up, dubs will be considered for future games
-
3 directors on One Piece huh? sounds good! Man I really hope the physical releases speed up in 2023
-
@Zephray I guess so?
-
Nothing for streamers this week, either. :(
