I was confused when he said that; thought he was just saying they were recording one episode a week. But maybe he means simuldub? Man, I hope so.

This is somewhat scary right now. In two weeks, the dub will be almost done with Wano Act 1. If I'm guessing correct Season 14, Voyage 2 will be ending at Episode 915 (which is the finale of Luffy Vs. Kaido, Round 1). Now, just need Crunchyroll to start adding the dub now on the site.

Perhaps it’s a way for them to make up for having 3 filler episodes between the two sets.

This is a unheard of! Been watching the dub since 2011, back when we unknowingly waited week to week for any sort of announcement for a new set. This dub was STRUGGLING on a few separate occasions, but this forum here definitely played a huge role in keeping the dub alive

But also they didn’t do this without a reason. Maybe they projected sales to be higher during the holiday, so dropping 2 sets would increase profit by a significant amount

Also, people are generally excited for Wano, so likely willing to drop double the money in that excitement.

Korea's done a simuldub since 2016 and technically Taiwan has for longer than that (they've been pretty close behind the Japanese broadcast for a long time, but that's also somewhat typical over there for other anime). Germany's also getting pretty close themselves to catching up, with ep 1000 premiering in the near future, and France has always been a season or so behind for a while, so there's really no restrictions.
Never thought I'd see the day we'd get to this point though. I'd happily go for a simuldub!

I assume we'll still get the third set at the end of January, too. Hauling ass. I've only been rewatching episodes twice or so, but I'm probably going to be rewatching these wano episodes so many times until the newness/surreality wears off.

It sounds as though they want to Simuldub the show. Anthony's "day & date" & "one a week" wording tells us that seems to be the direction they are going in. Fabulous news. The dark days of coming in here wondering if the dub was ever going to return are way behind us now.

God, I still have PTSD from that shit. That practice made me so damn disgruntled against Funimation; showing up every month for like two years, waiting for a set to mysteriously show up because they never announced stuff beforehand. Makes me frustrated just remembering it, lmao

Yeah, basically, I mean, set three in January. There are only twelve or thirteen sets until they’re at 1044, where we’re currently at. So they’ll be there by September. Then three more months to get mostly caught up from the episodes released in 2023.
So if they release a set or two extra at some point in the year (as they’re doing this month), they’ll get fully caught up this year. Really astounding how fast they’ve gone. The quality has suffered a little as a result, but not too hugely and somewhat unavoidably thanks to covid and recording from home. It’s been worth it and then some, imo.

I'm guessing it's going to be awhile before Collection 31 comes out. Since its looks like they are going build up the backlog of the voyages again before they release the next set of collections like old times.

Can't really get a sense of her voice yet. I'm really happy with Momo's, and it's so difficult to get kid voices for anime that aren't annoying. Really hoping they've got a great actor for her.
And yeah, I didn't like Judge's at first either. I got used to it, but it never resonated with me as perfect for the character (as so many of their picks do). I felt the same about Oven. It works, but it wasn't at all what I was expecting.

I get Judge, but I actually really love Oven. One of those characters I didn’t really know what to expect for but was pleasantly surprised. Speaking of that type of casting, the same goes for Oden. From the line or two he sounds surprisingly like. Perfect? So I’m really excited for when we get to the flashback.
By the way, Ace is gonna have new lines in voyage 1. Some people are holding out hope Travis will still come back since that was a single line before, but I highly doubt it. So I’m interested to hear more of the new va.

Nah, I want to enjoy episodes on Christmas Day. So I’ll probably watch a handful today and one every day until Christmas, then finish the set and go back to my usual rationing for set two.

Can anyone tell if Hawkins is Talesin? I remember people claiming he wasn't doing the voice after Dressrosa, but I can't tell for sure. If Travis is back for Ace, maybe he came back for Hawkins too
