I know im late on this but what exactly happened to Animator's corner? Are there any alternative sites for listing staff, besides ANN and MAL?
I believe they had some personal issues that have unfortunately gotten in the way of working on the website. It happens. Is what is it. I'm not sure if there are any other alternatives at this time.

That's a very strong lineup, and 957 should be especially fun with Ishitani making a full director debut. For those who don't know/forgotten, she was behind the final episode of Dragon Ball Super and did a great job with it so it's exciting seeing her working on a much meatier show that's not a ball of fire behind the scenes.

If Ishitani adapts chapter 956 its gonna be awesome. Her sense of humour and visual comedic style from her oshiri tantei stuff + the sense of wonder and moments of intimate and spontaneous emotion she captured oh so well in jurassic and how she seemlessly transitioned from one scene to another with interesting shot compositions for a short film that featured so many places and characters…yeah its gonna be a match made in heaven.

Nice to see a Komaki storyboard, i thought 960 was the last we would see of her for a long time. Combine her storyboard with Tu Yong-ce as AD and some expected sakuga, 972 should be a great episode (my only worry is the pacing but considering Komaki likes expanding on the source material, it should fine). Ryosuke Tanaka has been getting some praise these days but i'm not that fond of him yet. Koyama's episode is also very promising.

Yeah i saw the tweet. I loved Thurlow's dragon Kaido in act 1 and im curious to see if he'll animate him again.

On one hand yeah but on the other animation comes (and should come) with challenges and finding creative ways to overcome them. Though yeah drawing dragon scales and a shit ton of metal parts every frame is something only a masochist woud ask for, that's true

i like the redesign more in general but the first looks more appealing, i think it has to do with 1)lighting, 2)character & setting coloring, 3)less flat designs and 4)asymmetrical pose

Hisada is listed as designer from ep 385 and beyond. Koizumi is listed as designer until 402 weirdly enough
In any case, i'm moreso comparing the two frames specifically and why in my mind the first frame looks more appealing despite the design itself being more generic

Not only Ishitani but also Yamauchi and Fujisaki, most interesting staff list in a while.
No kidding, there are some big surprises with this one. He's not the sole AD, but I loved Fujisaki's work on the few episodes he worked on in the past and having a month with both Ishitani and Yamauchi is just unfair. Yamauchi's signature style really shown through in 939 when he was doing "just" the storyboard so it's exciting to see how an episode with him fully at the reins will shake out. This is the first time he's directed a One Piece episode full-on since Skypiea, correct?

Premising the whole arc has been stand-out in confront to older episodes, there've been at least four episodes with sequences able to make me shiver:
Aside these, there've been a lot of high level scenes, specially i the flashback: Roger vs Whitebeard, their crew fighting, Oden vs Whitebeard.
