@otakufan:
All of the Strawhats bar Luffy were searching for that bomb in the end, as was Pell for that matter, and Vivi's plan was never just screaming her lungs out and hoping someone hears her - her plan was to contact the rebels and leverage her relationship with Kohza to inform them of what was going on and get them to stand down, even planning at one point to blow up the royal palace in a bid to get their attention. But because Crocodile and his agents were always one step ahead of her, she wasn't able to deliver her message, and once Kohza was shot, her vector of influence to the rebellion was cut off.
Yes the strawhats also searched for the bomb but they all first took down the top ranks of Baroque Works before that. With how they split up to end up in that situation and Vivi not even being stopped by anything I dont even remember what she was doing while SH fights were going on that she failed to reach Kohza.
Vivi was REDUCED to screaming her lungs out, and frankly, I feel that in itself would be a cue for her to work to get stronger - to broaden her abilities so that she wouldn't be so helpless and could do more should this situation ever repeat itself.
I would hope so but I just don't think she would without another external catalyst.
End of the day, though, agree to disagree. We may just have different reads on Vivi's character. I think a lot of this will clear up once we get a better idea of what happened to her at the Reverie.
Agree on that last part.

@DynoStretch:
Seems like that very well might happen given the last time we heard about her was Garp about to mention to the Merfolk royals about a 'grave incident' regarding the Arabasta Kingdom, and Shirahoshi expressing concern for Vivi.
Keep in mind this is also shortly after King Im met with the elders about the name of the "light" that needed to be extinguished from history, shortly after he had been holding a picture of her.
My theory at this point? King Im has some personal interest in Vivi for reasons unknown, but as a royal princess he can't exactly take her away that easily, so he decided to have Vivi's status as princess "extinguished", allowing him to have her captured. This results in either the Straw Hats having to go to Mary Geiose to save her, or maybe even Vivi managing to escape thanks to help from the letter Fujitora sent to Cobra possibly being a warning of what would happen. With Vivi no longer royalty, she realizes she needs to actively fight in order to bring peace to the world, so she joins back up with Luffy and the gang.
Yeah, I hope something along those lines happens as part of the lead up to the big war in the end of the story.
I, however, like the idea of Vivi having to struggle a bit more in this situation. So it isn't as easy as the strawhats just going back and saving Vivi or rescuing her. I like her escaping on her own, deciding to meet up with Luffy again but she has to make her way through the New World to meet them again (not necessarily always by herself. I'm sure she'd make friends, find allies naturally but mostly a solo journey). I feel like similar to how the Ace hunting Blackbeard played the background to the main story, them fighting, Ace losing and being imprisoned and BB becoming a warlord and using that authority to go to Impel Down and recruit more members, Luffy trying to save Ace at ID and then at Marine HQ, then Ace's execution leading to a war, WB dying, Ace dying, BB stealing the quake DF, and becoming an emperor Oda is doing the same thing now with w/e happens at the reverie, introducing Im, BB on the move, and the fallout of that. First time he did it Ace and a legend died. So I think he's gearing up for something as big and impactful to the story

Vivi jumped from the Crow's Nest like it was nothing; I think there's good reason to believe she grew stronger in the time skip.
Nice catch.
That gives me a bit of hope.
I just wish that first panel was also Viv's wish/dream. Instantly would give her a reason to be back with Luffy and yeah it's almost the same as Robin's dream to know thw truth of the void century but it's just as personal to Vivi given she's a Nefertari.
Also that page just screams to me Cobra is going to die/is dead.

@Dragon:
Eh, considering she was a BW agent before that doesn't seem like such an amazing feat.
Vivi is not powerless, the issue is that she isn't even close to new world Nami level.
She was a pretty weak BW agent. A crow's nest leap seems like a big improvement to me. It'd be different had Vivi also fought a BW agent in the last act of Alabasta arc.
Also I wouldn't prop Nami up that much even now. Her strength lies in her intelligence and her weather controlling weapon. If it wasn't for Usopp I'd argue she is the weakest strawhat.
But like I said Vivi looking to link up with the She again by making her way through the New World on her own is a feat in itself so I hope that's how it goes down.
