Digital version is still scheduled for October, as would be expected, so maybe it was just a mistake.
I heard the upcoming volume of Act-Age was taken down due to the drama, maybe one or two others accidentally got hit while they were doing that.

One Piece Color Walk 9: Tiger, dissapeared too in Shueisha website…
So the volume, color walk and magazine are all delayed? This sucks :( was looking forward to them a lot.
At least the magazine was only delayed by a couple weeks. Having the colour walk and the volume hit at the same time makes it seem a lot less like an accident though, which sucks.
I wonder what could have cause delays this far along the production process. The large print runs One Piece stuff gets are maybe too much to print and ship while maintaining appropriate distancing perhaps…
The magazine Is now infinitely delayed. We have only the Digital release of volume 97 scheduled in october.

When was that stated? I must have missed the update.
Extremely worrying if true. Something must have gone horribly wrong somewhere in the production line.
Has anyone spotted any other scheduled releases being effected?

Japan's struggling with COVID again, I assume we'll see more delays over the next few weeks.

I don't think that. One Punch Man, Boruto and Boku no Hero Academia are still scheduled.
There's no real reason to delay this volume, though? All the chapters that will be on it have already been published.
Let's not resort to conclusions that don't have backing yet. The whole world (many better than others) is struggling with Covid. Japan has things in place to prevent shutdowns, just like much of the world does. Im not sure why OP's stuff was taken off schedule, but like others have mentioned, other manga are retaining that schedule.

Why say this with no source? Your Twitter link has nothing to do with that at all
Edit: Read the OP Magazine thread, Scotch already confirmed 2 week delays for Magazine 10. Very likely volume 97 and Color Walk 10 has the same delay

Shops might need to closed during the quarantine, so a delay is necessary in any case until everything normalizes.

I'm Sorry, man. My Twitter source says they removed OP Magazine fron the schedule buy there are no official sources that confirm It all. So let's wait for upcoming news.

Scotch confirmed the week and half delay in the magazine thread at least. They did remove it from the 09/04 date, but only 09/16. My guess is Color Walk 10 and Vol 97 follow the same suit.

Like I said, the Twitter link has nothing to do with the "magazine being indefinitely delayed", which is false. That was a random gesture made by Volume 97 not releasing on 9/4
I can live with a delay in the release - the volume extras are always fun, but only contain a few offhand nuggets of canon material - but I wish they'd at least reveal the cover. We've had more time than normal to speculate on this one and it already feels overdue. I just want the payoff of seeing what Oda went with for it. An official statement on what's going on would be fantastic as well, of course. Maybe on Tuesday when the new chapter comes out.

Not sure what you are linking. It only brings you to the main page. Nothing points to the magazine being delayed. It comes back at the end of August

For 9/4 or 9/16? Scotch has not updated beyond that
On Shonen Jump website, 97th volume is no yet delayed. Still out September, 4.

What I think Kdom is trying to communicate is that Magazine 10 used to have a page like (for the sake of example) this one for the digital volume. Before, the text down the bottom for the magazine's page was saying "on sale 4 September" was just updated to saying "on sale 16 September," but now, the url for the listing, where that information was (https://books.shueisha.co.jp/items/contents.html?isbn=978-4-08-102406-3) just redirects to a page not found error message. We don't need Scotch's input to read between the lines of it being totally removed, even after the date update.

Yeah, Amazon and other book sites still have it listed as well, but as the publisher, the Shueisha website is the highest level listing and would presumably be the first to update with new information, which is why it's worrying that it would be changed there. Just to wait and see what happens I guess.
Still hasn't changed off of Jump's website (discounting Shueisha). Hopefully everything is just either releasing on 9/4 or 9/16 like Magazine 10. When are we normally to expect a cover preview? Next jump issue?

Maybe this weekend.
We can only hope. A bit rough going back to reveals only a couple weeks before release after two volumes' worth of getting at least the lineart a month in advance, but the wait has to be close to done by now…

)olume, Magazine and Colour Walk all postponed to the 16th, now officially confirmed.Hope we still get at least the cover in the usual timeframe…
Good I'm glad at least it wasn't some weird thing like being indefinitely delayed.
I have a feeling the cover will have already been teased with this next issue of Jump or some other piece of advertisement. But hopefully they don't withhold it yea.
I bumped this thread really late into July because it was getting close to when some of the cover is revealed. 2-3 weeks later and still no hints of the cover. Maybe this next issue has something. The cover usually arrives in some capacity about a month and 1/5 before the volume is released.
maybe the volume was delayed because oda couldn't finish the cover yet.

Well everything is delayed to 9/16, so honestly I expect an advert this week now

The volume delayed due to "analog drawing" and Oda sensei with his staff trying to prevent infection of Covid-19. This is the official reason.
Weird. We know Oda has been doing the covers and colorspreads digitally for a while now, and the last chapter of the volume was probably finished around mid-may or even before that.
I think with the colour spreads at least he digitally sketches and tests palettes for them, but the final drawings are still physical. I'm not sure if the covers are purely digital or just developed/tested the same way. I think the whole "this is an analogue manga and the staff have to be protected" is just going to be the catch-all reason given for delays, whether the wait actually stems from Oda and his assistants, editors compiling extra material, or printing and shipping staff getting the physical books out.
@.access:

Not quite. He does the layouts digitally. But then he prints that out and does the inks and colors old fashioned. If you watch the time lapse pictures closely you can see there's always a part where the drawing suddenly changes completely and has more detail. That's when he does the physical drawing, scans it in, then plays around with color layouts.
Media outside of the main series he's a little more willing to do all digital but main series stuff is all analog.
indeed, the official one piece podcast translate and discusses the information from the latest one piece magazine on how they produce the volumes and Odas involvement with them. quite interesting.
That makes sense.
Oda did change the hair colors throughout the process lol.
It seems like Oda considered having the Scabbards on this cover instead of the Tobbi Roppo, and honestly i would have prefered that, mainly because we still don't have a Scabbards group shot in any cover.
I also really wanted Apoo to be in the cover, he got a lot more action this stretch of chapters than most of the Tobbi Roppo.
The cover looks good though really like the diamond shaped portraits the Tobbi Roppo have going on and Ulti's color scheme is pretty cool.
Sweet dopamine, we finally have something. Hopefully HD linework or final colours come up soon. It's a nice design. Not too cluttered for the most part and hits most of the notes I was expecting as far as characters featured. I wonder if there could have been another way to arrange the Tobi Roppo portraits though. It took me a moment to find Who's Who hidden in the middle there. With the rough colours shown, he blends in a little too much to the chaos of Kid's coat and arm. More like Where's Who, am I right? But hey maybe the final colours will helping him contrast his surroundings a little more.

For the moment, these are my best screencaps of the colours:
And the linework:
I also preferred the Scabbards, but I like this as well. Just didn't expect the Tobi Roppo reveal.
Maybe next cover is the Scabbards and it's more appropriate because of how the Scabbards finally initiated the war officially. I wouldn't mind the possibly new retainer to share the cover with them - Carrot, Yamato, Shinobu and Tama

Next volume is way more fitting for that, since it's when they all act together.
Reiterating my longshot bet: volume 98 - Beast Pirates exclusive cover; volume 99 - Scabbards and allies only; volume 100 - the most satisfying Strawhats only cover ever.
With so many characters in play three covers would be ideal for giving everyone the breathing space they need, and Strawhats for volume 100, possibly posed to match volumes 1 and 61, but in Wano outfits and including Jinbei, would be a perfect celebration of the big milestone.
I got 98 and 99 in reverse to that. BP on 99 and Scabbards on 98. That would be dope if the final Straw Hat lineup for the series would be one vol 100.
Oh man I love it!!
I love the Luffy, Law, Kidd rivalry
So does the fact the flying six are there mean we won’t get a only villain’s cover with Kaido’s crew? Or will they just have them on another cover…., or maybe in there hybrid Zoan modes on that cover
