One thing I'm realizing its its really hard to tel the difference between tech demo, pre-rendered cineama, and actual in-game graphics at this point. Like obviously this is all show off cinema, and the big close up shots are pre-redendered, but what's the blend going to be like in-game? It was already close last gen though you could aways tell the difference for a real cinema.
Is this Rocket League crossed with Overwatch? What is this?

I was pleasantly surprised at how many games had actual art direction beyond "look how REAL we can make everything".
But who am I kidding, a new Ratchet amd Clank has me extactic! That Demolition Derby Allstars or whatever hit the perfect tone for my tastes.

Judging from the rundown nope but I would assume a Street Fighter V Definitive Edition to be coming down the pike at some point.

Seeing that reminds of how black or grey has been the go to color of consoles since the Atari and only took Sony about 19 years or so to remember that black doesn’t have to be the standard console color.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Horizon 2 fuck yes loved the 1st and it's the Forbidden West place I was most excited for.

That was brilliant. Bit titles, mixed in with indie titles. Spider-man, Horizon 2, Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank, Demon's Souls (never played) and so on. And we know God of War is also coming. These are the reasons I always go with Sony. Good looking console. Even if people don't like it … it's different. Stands out from Xbox. Good presentation overall.
Besides Spiderman, I've forgotten which other titles are coming out this holiday. But that coupled with a new Assassins Creed at least seems like a good reason to buy a console at launch (or a month later at least).

Was pretty underwhelmed by it all. But that's probably down to my tastes.
Didn't really feel that much of what I saw was 'next gen' and not what couldn't be played on current consoles. If this was any other year I'd just assume this was all PS4 stuff. Doesn't help that Sony's games have been largely a 'hey this will be £15 rather than £45 in a few weeks/months. Why get it early?' and has cheapened their brand for me.I'm gonna wait till the JRPGs start migrating over and likely the revised model. (unless the revised model cuts the disc drive)

Depending on how the system is priced and in turn how much it costs to manufacture and produce very possible for them to thane a hit just like with the PS3.

I am eager to learn more about some of the games that were announced, but there was definitely nothing there that made me scream "just take my money!" I hope RE8 is good.
I will also be really surprised and disappointed if the thing is designed to not be able to lay flat. It's by far the easiest (and sturdiest) way to set up devices. TV accessory furniture isn't typically designed to house vertical devices like that.

There is indeed a "how people actually display consoles" mode for the PS5.
It still looks like a router but now it looks like a router people would actually buy. Also like a performing arts center that's mostly used for basketball games and terrible theater.

It's moving into Hammer Horror which is frankly an upgrade from whatever the hell 5 and 6 were being.
