@Monquito:
I noticed Jeremy Renner is not in the Black Widows cast.
((boos the Budapest scene))
It wouldn't be the first time we got an uncredited cameo in the MCU. Wouldn't it be a nice surprise? It's probably the plan. Considering the circumstances of her demise, it would be fitting to show the beginnings of their friendship, finally.
@Cockycent:
I agree with the Jumanji point. Time moves differently there. Good point. I'd prefer Doom to being a character in the back for a while to being the very 1st villain due to seeing him in every 1 of the 3 early movies. Thanos wasn't shown to get his hands dirty until Infinity War. The difference is that Doom would slowly be built up into the guy that many of us know.
That's the thing, they could show Doom as someone we don't expect, he can be putting on the pretense of a benevolent humanitarian leader, and be nothing but supportive to them in their efforts to stop whatever menace followed them out of the Negative Zone, and then once they've finished and said their thanks and gone home, he turns around and we see what his true 'face' looks like. Pull a Mysterio on us, but make us believe it all the way until the end or mid credits.
A.I.M. was present in Iron Man 3. It's rumored that he may be part of the She-Hulk series . Bruce and Tony's stories are tied, especially due to being nerds and the credit scenes in Hulk and Iron Man 3. If M.O.D.O.K. is part of She-Hulk, it wouldn't be hard to usher him in. Knowing their comic ties, A.I.M. and Gen. Ross aren't too far behind. A.I.M. would resurface due to Tony's death and M.O.D.O.K. would be the new head.
A.I.M. isn't a 'he', it's an 'it'. Also they're accessories to the attempted assassination of the U.S. President so there's no way in hell they're getting any legitimacy back, you'd have a better chance of that if they were HYDRA; at least Pym Technologies was willing to do business with them under Darren Cross. With Jennifer Walters being a lawyer, she would probably be more like a fusion of Jeri Hogarth and Jessica Jones, and specialize in defending superhumans in court. Rather than A.I.M., I would expect her to be defending anyone that Secretary Ross wants to recruit into the Thunderbolts. Now, THERE would be a fun movie to put in Phase 4. Marvel doesn't really have a Suicide Squad sort of movie yet. Too bad Spidey's out so we can't have Norman Osborn leading the group, and no Spidey villains to put in its roster.
M.O.D.O.K. can take over E.D.I.T.H.
They already had a villain take over Edith. He'd have to do something else. Also it would have to make sense as a motivation for a major villain. Ultron's was pretty weak and seemed to change and also be based on a really flimsy and poorly fleshed out motivation. Is there any story in Marvel's library comparable to the huge Cyberman conversion campaign from Doctor Who?
