Batwoman's coming to the Arrowverse.

I'm very excited to see where this leads. I mean, Legends found it's origins in spinning off from the anual crossover, so it does leave that door open.
They also posted a description of Legend's next season, which oddly left Wally out when listing the returning characters. I really hope he sticks around with them.
Izombie Season 5 will be the final season for the series.
www.variety.com/2018/tv/news/cw-2018-fall-schedule-charmed-supergirl-1202813507/
I kinda had a feeling Season 5 would be the final season for Izombie. Mostly that the last couple episodes to felt like that we are getting ready head into the endgame for the series.
That was a good season finale of Arrow. Let's hope it isn't undone within the first episode of next season.
Regarding flash, I hate it when villains (or any other being) talks to themselves.
That was an odd Arrow finale. One thing I can say for sure is that I'm100% unsure what will happen next. In Flash I wouldn't expect anything but Arrow has enough gravitas that I am actually anxious.
As a season I prefered the first half and could never buy into Diaz menace or even his plan(remember how the guy he was manipulating almost killed him and blow the city?). While I applaud the decision it seems that this villaain led to such drastic measures as I felt he could have been dealt with at anytime.
This finale had a great cameo, a lot of actions, some good speech and a llong awaited moment I wasn't expecting so while they're problems I can say it was a strong finale.
! OLIVER FINALLY REVEALED HIS IDENTITY!!!!!!!! At this I considered it a pipe dream.
! With this finale Roy return bother me less since there is a possibility to do it in an endearing way. And damn Oliver sells the gravity of his decisions and his speeches.
! Dragon getting to survive is silly. I mean why the hell does Black Siren suck so much at killing now. Shoot him with a gun do't throw him in water. Especially when he is already deafeated, that's just stupid. ALso I prefer evil Laurel.
! I am happy to see Sarah back. But she only gets there to see her family die once again. Life really hasn't been good lately.
! It was a bit of a weird ending. I enjoyed Oliver coming clean to the public because I think that it'll provide some interesting storylines but I would have preferred it happened when he was cornered on trial and he just said "screw it!". I liked Oliver making peace with the others but the sort of weak ending to the Dragon stuff was odd. I was hoping Diaz would just pop out a superpower as a trump card to explain his getaway. Of all the ways to end the battle…

! It is was such a weird villain to chose as the one with great lasting consequences. I think I would have enjoyed better if he came out earlier like you suggest, beat Diaz and go to prison at the end of the season but everything is wrap. But I give them points for giving me an ending where genuinely have no idea where they are going.
! My biggest worry is how how does the prison thing affect the show.
I don't want it with no consequences. I saw someone suggest a 5 year time jump but that means having t have the Flash and Arrow out of sync and I'm not sure if they are willing to do that.
! Rene gave Oliver's name to Tobias Church, gave his identity to the police and almost killed him. He really doesn't have much reason to aplogize on that front but I really appreciate the gesture. Also Oliver has beaten to many foes for me to buy Dragon is a problem 1 vs 1.

! I don't see what else they can do with Diaz at this point. Oliver won't be in prison for the entire season, especially since he'll have to be out in time for the December crossover, too.
Started watching flash and the show for season 1 has been great
!
Oh, ok, Starfire looks much better in the actual show so that's a re-
Was that Dove viciously slicing dudes up with a knife? Dick using a gun?! FUCK BATMAN?!
Fuck you too WB. Fuck you so fucking hard.
Everything about the trailer is cringe worthy. From the overall angsty dialogue to the near comical edginess to Dick Grayson Robin being out of character (he's acting a lot more like Jason Todd aka Red Hood). All of it looks awful.
How is it that DC never god-damn learns? STOP. BEING. GRIMDARK!
Fuck Batman, right guys.
I burst out laughing when I saw it. Here I tought it was just a comment about the video. It's not even edgy that's just parody level dialogue there.
It's too dark and that one comment make it so I can never take that thing seriously.
That line was right out of a YouTube fan film.
I insist that such line would only exist in parody work.
I surprised it wasn't cancelled already by the time I finished watching the trailer
Also, the attire for Starfire is downright atrocious. Like, I know in the comics she barely wears anything, but why did you turn her into a MLK boulevard hooker?
Their tv line was doing so well too. This looks amazingly awful and missing the point entirely.
I insist that such line would only exist in parody work.
I feel like, if appropriately set up, that would work in an animated medium as a non-parody, but most definitely not for live-action.
Also not sure if this thread is okay for animated DC TV stuff but I really am excited for Young Justice season 3. Even though I probably won't get to see it unless my friend downloads it because I'm not paying a dime for that streaming service they're supposedly releasing it on.
Hoping for a couple of things to happen in it:
-At least 1 episode where the Terry McGinnis Batman appears from the future.
-Raven, Starfire and Cyborg to appear even if not part of the team long-term (though I hope they do, even if Cyborg is part of the League and not B-team)
-Supergirl. Want some damn awkward stuff to happen between her, Superboy and Miss Martian.
-Even if it's not the whole team, I want them to combat evil versions of themselves from an alternate universe or 'bad end' future.
So Grant Gustin has been getting shit from annoying fanboys over leaked photos of the season 5 flash suit, which is taking more inspiration from the classic comic outfit.
In addition to him confirming the suit is still being modified as they're filming, it being out of context, a photo not supposed to be posted, etc, he made a good point against many claiming he's "too skinny" to be the Flash.
I feel bad for him. Grant is such a cool actor that seems to be pretty humble to his fanbase, great friends with his fellow cast(especially Tom Cavenaugh), and all around a cool dude. And he mentioned how even outside of the Flash, he's been bullied about his skinny figure for years, even getting criticism from his parents over his low weight.
Sucks that 5 years into a pretty successful show as one of the most recognizable superheroes of all time, he's STILL getting shit from people over his weight.
If there is one thing I learned from Shazam(regardless of if it even ends up good OR bad) is to not judge the leaked set photos. Sometimes, that post production and effects make all the difference. It comes down to the final execution, not what we try to see in anticipation for more content. It's something I'm hypocritical of doing(I judged Shazam SOO hard on the early pics of the suit), but with Grant it's coming right down to bullying. And that sucks for anyone, let alone someone that seems to actually care about pleasing people and having fun with the talented cast he works with on the show.
In the animated world -while I've still yet to see Teen Titans Go To The Movies- I listened to one of Rob Paulsen's recent Talking Toons' Podcast with Greg cipes.
For those that don't know, Rob Paulsen(amazing voice actor that has probably played dozens of characters you've heard) has had a podcast for the last few years where he talks with his fellow Voice acting friends and colleagues. It's evolved from him going to these actors' houses with his equipment, to having a platform on Nerdist. And he's done it while kicking Cancer's ass!
Anyway, he had Greg Cipes(the voice actor for Beast Boy) on a few weeks ago. I only listened to it the other day, but man what a great guy Cipes seems to be. He is quite the hippy, but he really is a guy that understands and appreciates people in general. They talk about things like his general outlook on life, how he's influenced Beast Boy as a whole(he takes pride in the fact that Beast Boy's comic character was made a vegetarian like him after he pushed for it in the original show), and other great stuff.
He also mentions how he started the absolutely false rumor at a con that Cartoon Network was considering a season 6 of the original show. And then states that Cartoon Network got more hand written letters asking for this Season 6 than any show they've aired, which caused them to genuinely look into making it.
He tells Rob about how he lives in Venice Beach, openly interacts with fans that come to his house, and even teaches some of them meditation! He says he has his house their in Cali and another vacation house, but plans to sell it and donate a large portion to charity. He also speaks of how he's friends with and supports many of the local homeless people and that many are his close friends.
Outside of DC, him and Rob also worked on the 2012 TMNT show together. It's sweet, he mentions how much Ninja Turtles influenced his life when he was a kid, inspiring him to become a black belt in Karate, how Splinter inspired him to learn to meditate, etc. I can only imagine what it must be like to then voice a Turtle alongside somebody who voiced a Turtle in the first show!
Sorry if I'm rambling, but while I can't endorse Rob's podcast enough, the Greg Cipes episode from a few weeks back was fantastic, and I recommend it to any fan of Teen Titans.
Some Izombie news. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is joining the cast of Izombie for its final season.

Rob Paulsen should be a household name at this point. I didn't know he had a podcast, though, awesome, gonna have to look that one up. Cipes sounds like he's inviting a crazy fan to do something psychotic to him if he's that open, I hope things don't turn sour.
I've personally never been the biggest fan of Harley Quinn. I find her a bit funny once in a blue moon, tolerable on average, and often annoying (especially Tara Strong's voice for her). But… this actually looks good. I'm really liking the voice acting work, character designs, scripting, and the dichotomy between Harley and Ivy here. Harley's still Harley minus the Brooklyn accent (it's unique but I won't miss it, I've gotten a little tired of it), but I like adding in a bit of enthusiastic show host vibes in her lines. It's just a teaser, but I'll definitely look into this. And watch it anywhere except with a paid subscription to DC's exclusive streaming service lol.
Just set up some overarching story lines/development, showcase all of Batman's rogues gallery and don't be afraid to branch out of Gotham here and there, have the humor/fourth wall breaks be based around characters and relevant circumstances rather than random slapstick/catchphrases/pop culture references for the sake of it like mainstream Deadpool, and I'll easily love this show.
They are doing a Harley Quinn cartoon? How did I not hear about that before? It looks promisingI'm gonna be optimistic about it.
So another year of the Arrowverse began today.
Flash was okay….more time travel messes to clean up. Black Lightning hit the ground running yet again. Pretty much picked up right where it left off. And also BILL DUKE!!!
Haven't watched Black Lightning yet, but I thought Flash was great. It felt season 1-esque. Hopefully, they can keep it up for the rest of the season and pull off an Arrow season 5. Cicada does seem kind of boring, though. I hope that improves.
On my phone so I can't share the pic at the moment, but they teased this years crossover as an Elseworld story, with Barry and Oliver in each others' costumes.
As for the first two episodes of the Flash this season, I'm loving it! I'm happy they're finally refrencing the future newspaper again instead of just…assuming everything worked out I guess? To be honest, I always assumed he never returned from that "crisis" in the terms of the story. I always assumed that in that future, that Barry disappeared when he chased Thawne back to 2000 after "first" learning Barry's true name. But from the first episode of the season, I guess Team Flash just assumed it all worked out.
I really am enjoying this story though. It's certainly interesting that this is the first time an Arrowverse show is picking up directly after it's last episode. They tend to try and stay current to the air date of the episode. In fact, it's one of my biggest gripes with Legends of Tomorrow, because as a time travel show there is ZERO REASON to continuously have 5 month breaks between seasons. So it is cool to see Flash picking up RIGHT after the end of season 4.
I liked the second episode(aside from Cisco's sideplot). I thought it did a great job of both showing Nora's admiration for her father, but also breaking Barry into the mindset of understanding that -from Nora's perspective- it's like an actual fucking God is her father, and she never met him. As the audience, we're well aware of Barry's fuck ups. I mean a good chunk of the audience comments each week how the Barry of the comics could do half of Team Flash's jobs each episode, in addition to saving the day. But this does a good job of showing both how far he's come, while also showing Nora a side of her father that the audience has seen from the start of this show, but she hasn't.
I'm really glad they're introducing Cicada early. Not much going for him personality wise yet, but he's certainly scary. I really hope they develop and stick with him for a while, instead of pulling an "Alchemy" and making him a fake villain that they ignore halfway through the season. Though, given it seems he can negate Meta powers, I'm REALLY hoping we don't get ANOTHER episode this season of Barry being powerless and having to learn about "being a hero even without powers" only to get them back. Literally every season has done this. PLEASE don't do it again.
As for Arrow's premiere....holy shit man. Blew me away. Between the ending reveal and mystery about the "flashbacks", it had me glued to the TV as I was watching. I liked seeing people like Brick behind bars. I'm sure they can't be in every prison Ollie episode(money dear boy), but I still appreciate the writers on bringing people like him back into the fold. This was the first episode in about two seasons that I've given a shit about Wild Dog(who has been in this show all of two seasons). While I appreciate that the debate between him and Dinah Drake is a legitimate grey area for them(she doesn't wanna throw away Oliver's sacrifice by letting the team be vigilantes, despite a rising crime rate as she's forced to solve the city's crime 100% by the books), I'm REALLY not looking forward to another season of people arguing with Dinah.
I love her actress, think she could have worked very well if they developed her partnership with Oliver better in season 5, but I really dislike everything they've done with Dinah after his introduction, aside from her relationship with Lance. Since she's been on board she's argued with Lance over Black Siren, argued with Oliver over doing the rational thing of tracking the team when they had a mole, argued with Diggle while allowing him to risk the team(and Renee) by going into the field while not physically able to, and is now feuding with all of her Team Arrow friends(except likely Diggle) about them even slightly assisting this new Arrow. Why can't the writers think of something to do with this character other than put her at odds with EVERYONE she speaks to?
(Ironically I've been rewatching a lot of the older seasons of the Walking Dead and in season 4 Dinah's actress and Riccardo Diaz's actor are both on the same side during the Governor Vs Prison final confrontation. Funny watching in hindsight after seeing so much of these great actors).
Lex Luthor is coming to Supergirl.
https://deadline.com/2018/10/supergirl-producers-lex-luthor-on-the-way-to-national-city-1202485368/
I honestly did not expect to someday get a Superman series but it's beginning to look like Superman-38 will get his own series. If this pans out I could easily see this being the mid-season fill-in for Supergirl. I was honestly hoping the next series would be about Orion and build up to Darkseid but this works out well, too.
Alan Tudyk is cast as the Joker in the Harley Quinn animated series.
I really want to see that actually hahaha I love Tudyk
So yeah….this is happening.
Diggle just sorta vanished in the last shot of the latest Arrow episode. Sloppy!

So I wasn't the only one who noticed that.
I had fun with prison.
Decided to check out Titans episode 4 (The Doom Patrol episode). Really like the Doom Patrol. They did a good job showcasing them as a family and the downside of their abilities. Basically, X-men meets The Adams Family. Definitely checking out their spin-off series next year.
As for the Titans themselves, they're not horrible, but I wasn't pulled into their story. Gonna blame that on only watching this episode and baggage from other incarnations.
So the crossover starts tonight….
I'll just leave this here
For those who haven't watched Part 3 of elseworlds tonight….this is spoiler tagged.
!
Neither great nor bad crossover. The second part was my favorite.
Batwoman is so much the one from the comic that my brain still has trouble processing that it is live action. I have seen costume that is like the one in the comic. But this one is the one from the comic and my mind still can't reconcile the real world with it.
! Oliver is so Batman that the idea that Batman existed and precedes Oliver in this world bother me. I would have prefer if he was a recent one like maybe 2-3 years or if it was only Batwoman(with 5-6 years). The confrontation with the monitor is the example of it.
! Our urrent Flash should stick to the costume from season 4 but 90s Flash looks great in his costume. He just have the body to actually pull it off. Larger so he fills more.
! Batman could exist but put him in supergirl's earth(Batwoman also to have team up from time to time).
! Crisis might fuse the world of Kara and Flash so they have crossover for less contrived reasons.
Doom Patrol trailer
Looking forward it. Honestly, I'm not bothered by Cyborg being on the team. Showrunners probably wanted a well-known character there. And, he could always crossover with the Titans or straight up join down the road.
First 3 episodes of Young Justice's new season have dropped.
Totally feeling the aster. Great bunch of episodes, and it's easy to see that they're enjoying the lack of Cartoon Network's leash when it comes to censoring guns and blood. Tonally, it goes right into the darker mood from the get go.
Also props to them for having Greg Cipes (who played Beast Boy in both Teen Titans shows) come back as this older version of Gar.

Not the only Teen Titans alum in the show. Did you notice who was playing Black Lightning?

Well now looking it up I see it's Kharry who's voicing him. To be honest, I thought it was Phill LaMarr at first.
Though, Kharry has been voicing Aqualad, so he's no stranger to the show.
This was the stupidest episode of Flash I've seen in a while. I'm used to these people not being fast when it really counts or when it suits the plot but oh my god, just dodge, use pepper-spray, whatever!
And shouldn't there be a previous version of you when you travel back in time …? come on now ...
A solid first episode.
I love the main characters, but I hope Morden's meta-narrative doesn't become a thing. Going by the trailer, I don't think I'm gonna like him. He's a walking supervillain cliche. Hope they up the special effects budget in later episodes.
