@AvocadoInTheRain:
One of the aspects that I think we've been overlooking from this chapter is that Luffy's bounty after this is going to be huge.
Defeating a 1 billion berry man and another guy who wasn't too far off from that + wrecking a Yonko's main base + a former warlord joining his crew + the assorted stuff other people have been doing under his flag (Bart took an island from another Yonko). All of that adds up to an earth-shaking bounty. And what's more, the one who'll be reporting this to the marines is someone who will be framing it all in the context of a very likely candidate for the title of pirate king.
(Stussy reports directly to the Tenryuubito, so it'll probably be Morgans that will report this to the marines)
I predict 1.5 billion minimum.
Yeah, there are a lot of under-the-forefront things in this chapter that are awesome. I understand how it got lost in the chaos though.
But anyway, this chapter confirms that: Morgans is going to deliver Luffy's new larger bounty. The bounty that the World Government acknowledges is potential Pirate King level.
Luffy wore a cape. Like a real captain. There's a beautiful transition happening into real manhood. Can anyone remind me of when that last was, in canon, him wearing a cape?
Luffy is still bleeding underneath his bandages where Katakuri hollowed out his side, so that's likely going to be a scar. A lesser, far less serious blood trauma is noticeable where Cracker sliced his arm.
