I'm not even sure what your criticism is anymore.
Like, how do you even suggest that an arc focused on the growth and development of the main character in a story about the growth and development of the main character is filler?

I'm only throwing things that didn't like and saying the thing that i liked the most, focusing on "character grow" cause that's our topic xd I find it average despite all.
Yep, because the world is above characters and what happens in the story should go sync with those two, and Mob doesn't have that lately.
Gotta say, the anime kinda put me off. It's weird to say this when you see the incredible animation and the care with which they're doing the adaptation, but…it's too damn hysterical. Too damn hyperactive. It's like the series is on steroids at.all.TIMES.
Mob Psycho is kinda low key. Yes, there's super powers and big fights and stuff, but at the end of the day, I think it should still be this low key story about a boy wanting to accept himself as he grows up.
Also, even on a purely comical aspect, Reigen, for example, works so much better in the manga, where you know he's bullshiting most of the times yet, strangely, he feels confident most of the times. In the anime I remember him sweating bullets at like every single scene. That's not ghe Reigen I know and love.
Funny, I felt the same.
Reigen seems more like an hyperactive dude than a calm and collected bullshit artist. He seems to always make some overexagerated expression or pose for the sake of comedy. It's mildly annoying.
I'm fine with the pacing being so fast, I'm not sure the slow build up style of the manga would translate well into anime. Still good but… different.

Next chapter is the last.
Ah I can't wait to see how it concludes in 3 months with chapter 101.33 :P.
But yeah this is expected. I wonder how the anime will handle it? 2 more 12 episode series or just a long 24 episode run to the end?
! Nice ending. A bit abrupt of a chapter, that I think could have used a couple subchapters to flesh things out, but what we got was really sweet. That last page of Mob laughing really gets to me, and I love how the story ends on it. Mob Psycho 100 was about a talented kid with a complex working to express himself, so it is a really good payoff to the whole thing that directly follows up the climax.
! My other favorite bit was Mob inspiring people to join the body improvement club. I love that the new members are just as weak as Mob was when he started, since it shows other kids out there struggling like Mob did and makes for a nice bookend.
! So yeah, overall an amazing series. Definitely going down as one of my favorites.
That was nice, but I wanted a bit more of closure. A single chapter gives the impression of an axed series.
It was all on the safe and generic side.
I like that Mob and Tsubomi actually do end up having a romance, despite her rejecting him, and nothing being 'official'. Very much like real life… you can't get the girl just by trying, but you certainly can get closer to her if you make an effort. Go Mob!
Reigen finally having friends was lovely. He's always been the one without friends, and even if we're never shown his perspective, the series implies that he's lonely and stuggling to make a living despite maintaining that cool attitude. So it was really sweet to see Reigen get his arc fleshed out too, ending the series surrounded by friends for his birthday, while his disciple is seen to have learnt to open up and reach his goals, showcasing that Reigen was a great teacher afterall, and not just a scam artist.
Liked all the extra scenes showing off where people are, was very sweet that Mob tried to save the cat (what was that referencing though?)
Very nice, sweet ending overall. I'd rate this series 99/100
all's well that end wells.
I rate this series ??/100. Which means it was fantastic from beginning to end. Eff, I'm going to miss it.
On that note, I doubt this will result in One speeding up on OPM significantly, but I hope it at least leads to a couple of chapters soon. Is anyone aware of any other series that he's currently working on or ones that he has in the pipeline coming out soon?
6/10
Must admit, last panel was hilarious xD Love that joke of the cake. Reigen is just the best.
I'm so glad Mob is ending! Now ONE can (hopefully) focus on OPM full time.

He already been focused on it. He and murata co-work on remake and I don't think One will publish any OPM chapters on his own but rather let his and Muratas work to eventually overtake it and continue series solely through single adaptation.
Season 2 of the anime was just announced. As an anime-only who loved S1, I couldn't be happier.
There was a Reigen spin-off announced.
Anyone read the first chapter of Reigen yet?
Dark Horse is going to be publishing the manga in the US: https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/04/23/dark-horse-to-publish-mob-psycho-100-manga-by-one-this-fall/

12 Dollars for a single volume!! DAMN. That's expensive.

Thats the average manga price in Brazil, minus that is in reais, so I don't think is that expensive specially for a short series like Mob.

12 doesn't seem that bad. I pay about 10 dollars after taxes for MHA.
Tankoubons in italy (normal sized) are 3.99 to 5.99 euros. Maybe they're just cheaper here…

I don't know what the exchange rate is. Maybe?
Translation of chapter 2 of Reigen is out:
Mob Psycho Volume 16 cover, it's last Volume.
Hooray Season 2!!!! There's been speculation before, but I believe this season should be 2-cour, 24 episodes. The first season covered the first 50 chapters, volumes 1-5, in 12 episodes. The remaining 50 chapters vary in length, resulting in 10 more volumes. So in order to cover the following 10 volumes, it seems 24 episodes would be necessary
Reigen chapter 3 is out: https://mangadex.org/chapter/409008/1
Don't know whose idea it was to change this thread title, but I'm not a fan. Took me a bit to find it again. Really should mention Mob Psycho 100, especially since season 2 is gonna appear next year. And since the Reigen series is a spin-off of the Mob Psycho franchise, no one is gonna question discussions about the new series appearing in this thread. This being the ONE thread implies we could discuss One-Punch Man here, even though that one has two different discussion threads for the webcomic and manga respectively.
As for the new Reigen chapter:
! That face was legitimately off-putting when it finally got up close. I was wondering in the beginning of the chapter if Dimple was going to remain a main character or if he'd just get the occasional cameo, so seeing those dimples appear on Tome on the roof made me extremely happy. I wonder if she'll have the permanent ability to see spirits or if it's just temporary.
EDIT: Wow whoever is in charge of the thread title is really against constructive criticism apparently.

Just another day at Arlong Park Forums…
Mob Psycho Season 2 trailer was released about a week ago.
!
Looks just as good visually as the first season. Wonder how much it'll cover. I'm hoping for a 2-cour season that covers the rest of the manga, but I don't know how realistic that is.
Another one!
!
Looks really good! Too bad no one seems to be paying attention to this thread.
Damn, or should I say nice? I thought this season would start with some slice of life as usual and a little bit romance on top.
On the contrary. Episode 4 was pretty brutal and we are near 100% already.
This season of the anime is going really well so far. Loved the Reigen episodes.
Musashi looked more ripped than in the manga
Oh man this episode was great.
! Reigan at end lol.
I'm just waiting for the
! Alien Subplot with the big kawaii eyes in season 3 to be animated. It's going to be absolutely great
Well, I just finished season 2. Hyped for season 3 which is TBA.
What did everyone think (I haven't read the manga yet)?
! Holy shit, episode 8…
I loved season 2! It seemed to me like some of it was a little rushed, but it had been a while since I’d read the manga so I couldn’t be sure. For the most part, I found it quite good.
Reigen episodes are still the best.
I was also really fond of the opening.
ummmmm this might be a stupid question…. and I assume the answer is no, but are the mob psycho 100 and One Punch Man Universes the same???
like maybe OPM is in the distant future or something, and maybe that's whyspoilers from the web comic
! That's why Tatsumaki was treated so badly and left in a cage when she was youinger, because of some sort of bigotry towards espers caused by the actions of Claw?
We don't know for sure but I doubt it. Mob Psycho has had some One-Punch Man cameos in the backgrounds and in small places like Reigan's phone but that's it.

Yeah, I spotted the Oppai shirt in the background somewhere in one of the later episodes (someone have a screenshot of it?).
The next death battle is going to be Mob vs Tatsumaki
I love this anime. They have the best of the 4 to start in October. I really appreciate what CSM and Bleach are doing, but this is the 1.
Mob Psycho 100 has consistently been a truly special series in how its animation compliments and highlights the characters. I imagine that Episode #11 will be the big episode we've all been waiting for—the episode with 20,000 drawings—and I cannot wait.
