I suppose Bran is being off-screen, so that at the end of this season, he'll spit out Jon's origins, and I hope Howland Reed to be present and confirm.

That's the kind of thing that should have Danny kill on just in case. If the North is to be believed people prefer a bastard to a woman when inheritance is concerned.

! I'm more concerned about how Jamie managed to get from Kingslanding to Highgarden with a motherfucking army so fast. Wasn't he in the throne room watching the rape parade earlier in the episode?
-
omg did they just skip all the battle ?
The dialogues are good but we definitely need more action.I'm glad Ellaria didn't have to watch her daughter getting raped. Still horrible though.
This was a powerful shot!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
And Varys is gonna die then ? Okay.
The previous episode had already foreshadowed that but it's fine. The dialogue was good.Brandon should just tell Jon he's a Targaryen and tell Daenerys to do the fire test to prove it.
Also, the Lannister soldiers are gonna get roasted soon. Good.

They were both in the throne room.
It seems Euron deus-ex-machina is the only thing the writers have found to give some power to Cersei.
Euron had the time to crush her sister and the Sand Snakes, go back to King's Landing and right after he went to Casterly Rock to crush the Unsullied that started heading there when Yara and the others were heading to the other thing.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Davos was funny. But I'm looking forward to get this one day “Jon Snow of House Stark, first of his name, King in the North, King Beyond the Wall, Lord of Winterfell, the White Wolf, the Undead.”
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
When is Theon gonna be redeemed though?
What' the point of giving him screen time if he neevr does, right? -
Way to go Bran, holding a conversation like that with your sister. Why not tell us about the clothes Hodor wore next time, just to rub it in.
-
I'm glad Ellaria didn't have to watch her daughter getting raped. Still horrible though.
Personally, I think the showrunners messed up on this. Should've had her get raped, would've been far more in line with Cersei's character so far. Like, okay, I know I shouldn't be rooting for rape :ninja: but it would have fit here. Poison-rape combo would've been horrifying, but not out of character. I'd have hated Cersei even more and that'd be a good thing.
Now as for Bran's cold, dark, and somewhat creepy comments about Sansa's rape. Well lets just say I found that in bad taste on the showwriter's side. I always found the Sansa rape scene to be in bad taste, still think it should've never happened, and to remind us that it did with Bran being insensitive like that was dumb. What's it trying to prove? That Bran's lost his sense of empathy? That he's a dick? Surely he could've been believed by just mentioning some other detail he wasn't privy to, didn't have to bring up the rape.
-
Dany's intro vs. Jon's was pretty funny.
Euron's teleporting fleet is confusing. But so is most of the timeline in this show when characters travel. I feel like Jon got down south pretty quickly.
I loved the last scene. It had been so long that I had actually forgotten she was Joffery's murderer.
-
I don't agree with the path the show runner's chose for Sansa in previous seasons, but people's problem with her rape still eludes me. Theon, though, he's fair game.
Bran's behavior surprised me but, no one alive knows more about actual history than he does. I think that might weigh on a mind a bit. Sansa will be okay. He brought up bad memories for her, but I think she's even more freaked that he knows the weather that day, what she wore.
"… all those hard sons of bitches chose him as their leader." Davos is the man. A laughed hard at his introduction of Jon. I am somewhat surprised that every single plan Tyrion had hasn't worked out. He's not looking too good. And he's the Hand.
Brandon should just tell Jon he's a Targaryen and tell Daenerys to do the fire test to prove it.
He burned his hand in season 1, he's not fireproof. Dany's shouldn't be it either - according to George, at least.
-
Some people are saying that Bronn will save Tyene.
If the travel times keep being fucked up, it's likely to happen actually.
You can't let the most beautiful women in the world go away just like that, right ?I don't agree with the path the show runner's chose for Sansa in previous seasons, but people's problem with her rape still eludes me. Theon, though, he's fair game.
That's because rape is torture and worst than actual torture somehow.
I'm actually having trouble with "rape jokes are bad but we can laugh at people's death, that's okay somehow". Wether it's in fiction or real life.
He burned his hand in season 1, he's not fireproof. Dany's shouldn't be it either - according to George, at least.
But we've seen her not being burned like, many times right?
-
So Danny lost the tyrels (because somehow the reach split, shitty but makes sense) the dornish and most of her half of the greyjoy fleet. The Hilllands are somehow the strongest army (ghh I can buy it as is them and most of the reach).
At least now it feels balanced. It would have been better if they were clear with the "not the reach, just the tyrels" last year, with that political map it makes sense what happened. Dorne has always been the weakest kingdom, making it up in balance with tactics and poisons, danny is unwilling to use her better assets (dragons unsullied and dotraki) as being foreigner elements, and the greyjoy part couldn't been that big in the first place.
If the florents are done, then the 2th house of the reach is the tarlys, and as always, house number 2 is treacherous and power hungry.
-
Daenerys says that there was peace and prosperity during the Targeryen rule. Yeeeeesh … sure, if you leave out the civil wars.
But we've seen her not being burned like, many times right?
It's very difficult to judge or predict there things when the show deviates from the books so much. The only reason book Daenerys was able to withstand fire during her dragon's birth was because magic was involved. Tv show Dany is permanently impervious to it, apparently.
The Mad King's father died during a fire. Plenty of Targeryens killed one another using dragon fire.
George made some interesting comments recently about the dead. The Night King's army was brought to life by ice; Jon was brought to life by fire. But they are both equally dead or alive. Their hearts don't beat. Don't think the show will address this, however. Berric has a flaming sword so, who knows.
-
The battle for Casterly Rock was meh as fuck. Bran still gets on my nerves. And so far, Daenerys offensive feels completely underwhelming.
As for Euron appearing everywhere, I think it's fair to assume that this episode happened over the span of a few weeks, at least.

But the Unsullied were already on their way when Euron attacked Yara and the Sand Snakes's fleet.
And I agree that the battle was lame. Tyrion had to give a speech during the attack for some reason and pretty much everything was skipped.
Aslo, it seems Daenerys is trying to make the dumbest moves to give a chance to Cersei. Why was Olenna Tyrell alone in her castle ? Why didn't she use at least one dragon yet ? There are probably strategic ways to use a dragon, it's not like there was nothing to do against bows. She could make an armor for her dragons, do a sneak attack like making one hide under water and destroy the shit out of Euron when he shows up.It seems Euron is the new mofo of the show. After Geofrey and Ramsey. Or maybe Cersei is, I don't know.
Hope he dies soon. Like public execution, dragon style.lol at the illuminati-GoldmanSachs guy btw.
-
I'd guess that
1.- You can't put armor in the eyes or the wings, the weak points of the dragons
2.- They can't be too heavy
3.- Her dragons are still mid-sized, and could be grownups already, or be like lobster and keep growingFull grown dragon, probably the biggest, only some plate armor in the chest.

Shen Long's size is completely wrong, Goku could easily lie down in his head, compare to little Aegon on the back of Balerion.

Great episode. Really enjoy that they've maxed out their teleportation skill.
-
Westeros is far too big anyway, may as well fuck with the distances.
-
Cat was already teleporting around Westeros as early as season 1.
-
Ellaria should just die, that warmonger scum was only looking for revenge and not justice itself.
I have no idea where things are going to with Theon, like… uhm.. wear one of the unsullied's armors, it suits him better now.I find cool that Cercei feels as she's in control of this war, while she hasn't faced the Dothraki and the dragons yet, feeling overconfident with Qyborn's weapons against dragons, the Bank of Braavos, Euron and Randyll Tarly, it will made her believe she can actually defeat Daenery's main force, it will be soo juicy once her Lannister army gets rekt.

People felt it was over the line which i can not completely understand.
Sure, his cold behavior can be explained with "all seeing, all knowing, hence emotional attachement..". Talking about her rape without any gain from it is not.

I'd guess that
1.- You can't put armor in the eyes or the wings, the weak points of the dragonsWell Drogon got stabbed in the neck.
2.- They can't be too heavy
The plot could help and be convenient. Even though I assume a dragon can carry very heavy stuffs nonetheless.
3.- Her dragons are still mid-sized, and could be grownups already, or be like lobster and keep growing
Oh, they ain't grown-ups? damn, it's almost the end of the series. What are the showrunners thinking about ?

How meters a grown-up dragon is suppose to be ? and how tall are the current dragons btw ?
I mean, okay about your pic, but, is a grown-up's head supposed to be bigger than the current Drogon ? -
Balerion was around 100 years old when the conquest happened, and could eat in one bite Drogon. These dragons are like 2 years old.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Let's say 5 years old, just to be safe.
-
The plan with that Dragon spike better involve more that just one at a time. They're pretty mobile in mid air.
-
It's not like those are special crossbows, I'm sure king's landing will be covered in them, by the time Daenerys decides to go.
If she had attacked right now, they would had one.
-
A bigass crossbow bolt through the eye is what killed one of Aegon I's sisters and her dragon, and that dragon was over 100.
Dragon toddlers like Drogon presumably are even more susceptible to crossbow death.
-

Also, it appears that "the hakers that attacked HBO GO" filtered the plot for next chapter.

That is not "current plot relevant" is "colorful text from like 3 books ago", like what Tyrion wanted to be as a kid, or of what the past targaryen kings died.
Besides, we are past the books already, the only things we have left to spoil is the things that can't be on the show because the character that did those things are dead.

The meeting between Danny and Jon went in a way I didn't expected. I was fairly surprise by Jon not bending. His cluelessness to how people work is worse than what I expected but still in character. The guy has always been unable to understand how real people work. Danny being the grown-up of the two was fairly surprising. With the way Jon was going there was plenty of times where Danny could have taken offense and cut off discussion but she didn't. Even Mellisandre made the smart move by not being there.
Tyrion was definitely the hightlight of that portion. His relations with both Danny and Jon are enjoyable and he finds the middle ground that is needed. Dragonglass is indeed useless so letting Jon play with it while she is busy with South is smart and leave the channel of communication open for later. He definitely needs that kind of win considering how well his plans for Westeros are working.
Euron continue to give me the feeling he is over playing his asshole role but at least he is getting result and is the deus machina that Cersei needs to keep afloat. I'm not sure why he would continue to keep staying by Cersei side until the end. It made sense when he tought a gift would get him to her but waiting for after the war is an obvious way to not get paid once everything is done. They should just have a threeway in a promise of the reward to come.
Cersei finally got the killer of her daughter and gets to punish. I am surprise the punishment didn't include rape of some sort but poetic return of favor was a decent choice. It also seems that made her in need of some affection and as usual brother Jaimie is more than happy to oblige. The Iron bank staying on Cersei side make sense. Danny is awful at paying people. Her policy on that front is give me what I want and be happy I didn't kill you so she's to unreliable and Cersei settled the debt her father had.
My favorite moment of Cersei is her banging Jaimie and being open about it. If you are going to be a bitchy queen where everyone already think you are fucked up you might as well own it and do what you want.
Let's make clear that Cersei is not her father. Her way of doing thing is wrecking stuff and bulldozing everything while hoping everyone will stay by her. For some reason it is still working. I have a hard time buying Tarly turning on his house past the whole notion that he is an asshole. Euron seems also incredibly infective and that move on the Tyrell went fairly smooth. Somehow it feels the show is trying his best to give Cersei wins and a war she already lost.
Everyone speaking honestly already made clear that Cersei can't win and the only reason the thing is continuing is due to Danny's patience. So it annoys me that a war where everyone already knows the winner is going to eat the season especially when suddenly Cersei is going to be a match for Danny.
I will miss old lady Tyrell. At least her discussion with Jaimie was pleasant and reminder of her enjoyable her lines always are. And like she said Fuck Jeoffrey and her mother. As for Jaime he might be on path for redemption but until then I'm glad Old Tyrell got to get under his skin.
Brann is back and with 2 stupid clichés. The uselessly insensitive since there was no reason to brung the rape itself. The it's to complicated when the explanation is simple. The reason there was another three eye raven is because he was training you. Inherithance is something a lord would understand.
Sansa must be wondering if any of her family members still have there head straight but I sure enjoy the moment where Sansa hugged her and I get a warmth feeling about all the Starks coming together.
I'm really looking formward to Arya coming home. She better not change ideas about that.

Bran was…weird in that scene.
Sansa: Bran! I'm so happy to see you!!
Bran: Yes, hello. I am the Three-Eyed Raven.
Sansa: What does that mean?Bran: You don't need to know. But as the Three-Eyed Raven I can see all that ever was and will be. I can even see what is happening right now. I learned all this from the Three-Eyed Raven who was the Three-Eyed Raven before it was me. But the concept of inheriting a title is too complicated for you to grasp so I will not bother explaining. Anyway, remember your wonderful wedding night? It was snowing like it almost never is up here in the North. And your wedding dress was probably white. See, I told you I can see things. Not that you would understand. I wish Jon were here.
Sansa: Right….yeah, so I gotta go...
3-Eyed Raven: My duty demands that I stay under this tree for a couple more minutes. You go ahead. I'll catch up to you next Spring.Hodor: I did not hold the door for this.
-
Bran was…weird in that scene.
That's one the most accurate description you could ever do of that scene.

Did Bran's actor forget what acting is?
-
Did Bran's actor forget what acting is?
I thin he is suppose to be emotionless and that's why he mention the rape without any regard for Sansa. He's basically doctor Manatthan. Hardly any trace of his humanity left.

I think Bran's acting coach forgot to tell him that being emotionless =/= not acting.

but not bending was the wisest thing he did.
if had bend the knee, then that means swearing loyalty and complete obedience to her. which of course means that she will prioritize her war with ceresi and use his forces for that war.
which is something that the northerners will never agree upon because a) she's an outsider invader to them, b) they're already fighting a war of their own with the nightwalkers and c) the last targaryen they knew about (the mad king) was their enemy!
jon made the most logical choice, why fight for someone you barely know in a war that can be postponed while you have a much more dangerous war coming to you. -
Man, they're really fking up big…
I like that lots of things are happening, but everything it's too fast and too forced and basically badly scripted...all the epicity of GOT is completely gone.
-The Jon-Dany meeting was ok, it was predictable that it would have been a tie. The blonde bitch it's getting on my nerves with her attitude...
-The Euron scene in the city was pathetic. Who told the people about that? Why would they care about 2 unknown girls? Are they listening to the all-so-hated Cersei? But especially, aren't they dying of hunger in KL? That didn't make any sense...and Euron, a drunken rockstar. Pfff
-Same with Sansa. All of a sudden this girl now it's an expert in ruling a country, making armors, etc. Sure. And I didn't recall Bran being dead inside. That was weird.
-I liked the Jorah-Sam moment, even though the explanation "I followed the instructions to cure this terrible, incurable, dangerous disease" it's a little streched...
-About Casterly Rock and Highgarden I'd rather not talk about...that was just terrible. -
What creepy stuff will Bronn tell Jon when he'll meet him ?
"- I saw you breaking your vows in that cave. You were so beautiful."
"I saw your men stab you in the heart, your hair was beautiful."And Arya?
"I saw what you did to the Frey, you were so beautiful" -
Bran, to Theon:
"I saw you burn your son alive, watch Sansa get raped (which she was beautiful for), sell her out to Ramsay, and leave your sister at the hands of Crazy Pirate Man."
"Was…was I beautiful during all that?"
"6/10."

A siege can take a long time. And although it seems like the unsullied took Casterly Rock in like an afternoon, they did sort of gloss over the specifics of the battle.
So I'm willing to buy that the Unsullied besieged Casterly Rock for a few days, or even weeks. Either that, or Euron had left a part of his armada to pursue the unsullied to begin with. It doesn't necessarily have to be him leading them. I am fully aware that my apologism can fall apart the next episode. Like Greyworm saying "damn it, we took this place in three hours and then a goddamn fleet attacked us". And then they zoom in on Euron commandeering the fleet. I'll eat my humble pie if that is the case.
Euron, I don't think has nearly the hateable aspects Joffrey or Ramsay had though. I mean he's an asshole, but he's been antagonizing mostly shitty people and isn't reveling in torturing innocents or acting like a complete sociopath.

After watching the last episode, it really shows how crappy Weiss and Benioff are at writing their own storylines.
It took nearly four seasons for the Stark-Lannister war to end, but now in this 'verse, said Lannisters, lacking in men and supplies, can now take over The Reach, the second-biggest kingdom, in one damn episode.

only its biggest house(the Tyrells, or what was left of it), it seems The reach got military divided by Randyll.
-
They didn't want to show a siege between Jaime and Bronn vs a bunch of nameless soldiers and the Queen of Thorns, considering that they erased the tyrel brothers and how that worked the last time that they tried to rush opponents for Jaime, and the reduced running time of the season, I think that offscreening the siege was the right call. Maybe start it a chapter earlier or so.
-
On one hand, Randyll Tarly is the best general in Westeros and could probably whip what's left of the Tyrell's army.
On the other hand, there really should've been a better effort to show that High Garden did actually have an army guarding it.
