i have a feeling the fight will end something like this..
luffy will knock down lucci and somehow be up high in the air and then will punch lucci serveral times with gear 3 while he is falling down. after that he will probably pass out and usopp will get him back somehow. luffy needs to permanantly disable lucci so he doesn't come back and try to kill his crew.

How can Luffy be in two places at once?
Still though, I have a theory than Luffy will break Lucci's legs and pull either a Gear 3 move or a GG Jet Cannon. Maybe, maybe not.

I meant either one or the other I can see one of those two happening somehow. Or some kind of combination of the two.

I want to know something , why some people always expect the opponent of the strawhats to be weak in comparison of cp9 ? SERIOUSLY….
When the enias lobby cp9 appeared , people were saying , " well , new cp9 , nevermind they are weaker than the original 4 " then came the ranking which show that only lucci and kaku were stronger and that there was another strong cp9 jabura .
When the VA appeared people say "well , they are weaker than cp9 because they don't fight and they respect lucci" , since when respecting somebody has anything to do with being weak ? Since when commanding an army of soldiers is the proof that you are weak ? I don't get it .
Now the captains are fighting people say " well , they are strong but they maybe morgan level with the exception of franky's and zoro's opponents ".
............. is it so hard to understand that the straw hat are not the strongest fighter in their world ? Is it so difficult to understand that cp9 are not the only strong soldiers of the WG ? Is it so difficult to understand that smoker , hina , Tbone and all the named characters are not the only strong persons in the marine ? They are the characters we knows but it doesn't mean that except for them all the others are weak , realize that the marine is a worldwide force .
It's because they defeat cp9 that the VA send them captains instead of normal soldiers , which mean that for people who can deal with cp9 captains are enough .
How many captains have been defeated so far during this raid ? 5
And you hope that the strawhats will take them all ?After reading absurdities like " the strawhats can take one ship each and own them because they are so god like" , i am really satisfied with the actual situation because the BC is not a walk in the park like a lot of people where expecting it to be .

Yup, for people who can deal with cp9, just 5 or 9 of them, you need to send 200 captains.
Personally I won't judge the captains now. If they are really very good, then all the SHP minus Luffy should be owned by them in the next chapter or 2, depending on how Oda spread out the scenes.

I hope that Luffy can win somehow w/o any help because the other SHs are busy as well. Sometimes I wonder if the situation would have been better if he didn't experiment his Gear 2 on Blueno. He wasted his energy and meat on that 820 doukiri guy.

Well, i've read the chapter multiple times now. Things sure are getting more and more complicated with each chapter, aren't they? =_=
I can no longer imagine Usopp can take out the ten ships on his own, not even with his new grande weapon. I just don't see how. I mean, sure his weapon is strong, but those ships are GIGANTIC, and I highly doubt they would catch that fire easily. Even though Sanji 'may' have snuck away for some 'Mr. Prince'-like action again, I just don't see how they can get away now, even if the chapter titles still indicate they will.

Does the control mechanism for the gate lie inside the half of the bridge the Strawhats are fighting on? If the gate is closed, wouldn't the whirlpools start up again? Giant battleship or not, wouldn't they get sucked down?
This is just an idea of where Sanji might have gone, but then again I doubt the gates may just be controlled by a simple OPEN/CLOSE switch.
But hey, I'll leave it to Oda.

What an exciting chapter!
I don’t mind the idea of Luffy losing after a long fight, it would be an interesting twist. Sometimes, no matter how much determination you’ve got, you’re not going to have enough strength to win. But it would also be great if Lucci was finally destroyed!
I have no idea how the Strawhats are going to get out safely, it’s not like they’ll be allowed to leave if they all make it to the escape ship. :/

We're all saying that the CP9 are th strongest because they're the arc villians! They're supposed to be the stongest until the next arc anyway, not included the foreshadowing whitebeard, etc.
And there's no way that these captains can beat the full CP9, they're grunts compared to everyone else. Just strong grunts, probably meant to overwhlem with numbers and random powers, but individually not in the league of Smoker or a CP9.
Hell, at least 6 of them are already down, so clearly not each and every one of them are that strong. If they're were all as strong as Smoker and Hina, they're would've been dead be the end of this chapter, yet they're still fighting.
Also everyone, stop confusing rank for power. So far the Admirals seem to be the only rank associated with great power, the rest we've heard nothing about.

Not always, plus in shounen it depends on the nature of the rank. Look at say, Spandam of example. Leader of the CP9, and a weakling.
Plus, the VAs still haven't throw a punch so far. Rank is good, but we need action to prove strength.

having just read one of the scanlations in the absense of a translation, it appears that Usopp is still in need of A LOT of development fighting wise, though we know he's not a melee fighter, to shoot into a huddle of 200 captain and not be able to hit one, show's he's got A LONG WAY to go.
