What do you guys think Euron will bring to Cersei btw? Who's head is it gonna be ? Just hope it's not a Stark.
Game of Thrones (tv show thread)

There has been a pretty crafty foreshadowing on what will happen to Cersei. I mean, it was obvious before really but this sealed the deal really.
I hope whatever it is it happens fast. First 3 episodes.
There is no sense of time in this show, you never know when a scene actually plays out.
Last season, Euron was seen telling them to build ships, now they have thousands of ships, just like that.
Yet Cersei and Jaime have not once talked about their current situation or the children or whatever.I guess that's true. I just took Euron's ship to be tv show magic where everything goes faster than normal.
-

I have a guess based on the books but if it´s that, he does not need Cersei in the first place, though i guess it does not hurt

If anything, towards the end of this season, so that the only challenge left really is the war between humanity and white walkers, until then though, she will fuck shit up.

It's gonna annoyed probably gonna annoyed me then. I kind of imagine Danny dying from the fighting in the war against zombies in some epic way and Jon getting the big throne.
-
If people can teleport to continents over the span of a single episode, why did Dany need to stay in Essos for six seasons doing legit nothing.
-
On my drive to work today I was thinking that it seems to be pretty inevitable that Jamie will kill Cersei. She'll wind up trying to do something too terrible for him to bare, so he'll kill her and once again become a kingslayer. It just feels like the most appropriate outcome for his arc. He kills Cersei and helps lead the united army against the White Walkers, either dying there or living the rest of his life in self-imposed exile.

I imagine it will be Tyrion.

She has been annoying for the last 3 seasons.
I do not hate her because she is bad and evil like the showrunners intend to, i hate her because everything regarding her and King´s Landing has been really boring and drawn out.. -

I do not hate her because she is bad and evil like the showrunners intend to, i hate her because everything regarding her and King´s Landing has been really boring and drawn out..I don't even hate but as Jon said this late in the game she is pretty irrelevant and as Jaimie made clear she has no logical path to survival. She already got rid of all her kids, Jaimie don't trust her much and everyone already agree she needs to go down. Of course they can pull some magical trick that keeps her around for the whole season but at this it is just wasted space in the plot. Have her prepare something in 2 and give her a big battle/plot in 3 to close everything. Less episodes should be less padding.

From the promo, it is obvious Jon will try to contact Dany to gather allies in the fight against the white walkers, so while they concentrate on the much more important threat, Cersei can easily do her thing, nto really a magical trick.
Everything is irrelevant really considering the biggest threat exists and has nothing to do with the last 6 seasons, for the most part.
-
Tyrion will probably soon ride a dragon, I can only imagine Euron taking down the dragon AND Tyrion –-with some ships… somehow.
-
Westero-historically of the like 3 dragons downed in open combat not by another dragon, one was at sea with tons of giant ballistas.
-
What are the odds to see Arya kill Cersei while wearing Jaime's face? I'm saying that because I don't know what the heck she is going to do in King's Landing. She ain't part of the prophecy.
Or fuck the prophecy?
-
She has to kill Jaime to get his face. Only Mel is known to make living people Glamour's, and they skipped Arya's acting training. So no cheap tricks for her, only full transformation magic. And the tricks wouldn't work to make her a full grown male, she needs the real deal.
Everyone is gunning for cersei, it is unsatisfactory for arya's list choice items to be left to other characters, but she did "get" the hound at least, and she is still missing the one who matters in the death of her family, the one who pushed Joffrey to kill Ned. Both Joffrey and Payne were just tools to kill Ned. and Payne (the executioner) was written out because the actor is either very sick or dead.
-
She also killed Ser Taryn Mant.
Yes she would have to kill Jaime, but he kind of is responsible for Bran's condition, so she has a reason to kill him. I don't know if she knows about it though.
But yeah this would be giving Arya too many vengeance. It'd mean season7 is only about Arya, and seasons 8 is everyone vs whitewalkers.
She either has to kill Jaime (also because the other mofo is protecting Cersei) or change her plans and head elsewhere. As for the full transformation. Didn't she just turn into Walder Frey ? I mean, what's the problem with it ? Can't the many-faced turn into a man if a lady ?
Who has pushed Joffrey to kill Nedd again? Little Finger?
-
She killed Frey and then put on his face. She can only do that with dead people. If she can't kill then, then mundane tricks won't cut it.
And yes, little finger, is the one who pushed her family into the meat grinder.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
And she has no way to know who knocked down Bran, I don't think that bran himself knows.
-
And Littlefinger she will meet, was already seen in the season promo.
I do think the seer would have been able to distinguish her little brother from someone pretending to be her, but maybe that´s just me.
The real twist has always been, if you wanna call it a twist since everybody saw it coming, that the little brother does not refer to Tyrion and Jaime, King and Queenslayer.
-
When Robb, at the beginning of the war, wanted himself to lead the vanguard, that one Umber lord spoke his mind, but was very disrespectful, and lost a few fingers for it. And that was in front of all the lords. Sansa spoke her mind, and then she spoke her mind again, but it was too direct, this is what you should do, and you are being a bad king by not doing it. You can even see the discomfort in Brienne's face, or whatever you want to make of it.
-
I think Arya is just gonna die, probably after taking down the Mountain at best.
-
I think Arya is gonna get captured. That is gonna be the thing that is gonna divide Jon and Sansa, and put Cersei in a position of power agains the Stark. And probably is gonna be the catalyst for Jaime to decide if he gonna save Arya or not, and become the "Queen Slayer".
-
Nah, Arya has become the number one "wow she is badass" character of the showrunners since they will have to nerf Khaleesi.
They won´t make her look bad.
If anything, she will return to Winterfell and she + Sansa are gonna deal with Littlefinger.
Man, all those theories of the entire series being a game of chess between Varys, Littlefinger and Doran´s schemes…
-
She better not get capture and go see the new king of north. You would think she's curious of who is ruling her lands. I wonder if she will mind Jon even a little.
-

Arya and Jon had the best relationship. I mean except Catelyn, nobody actually discriminated against Jon but there was the gap between the siblings, except between Arya and Jon since the latter always excepted her tomboyish personality.
If anything, the writers are trying to portray Sansa minding Jon more and more but even that i think is just a easter egg.
Jon will deal with White Walkers and the other enemies, Arya and Sansa gonna stay in Winterfell and deal with Littlefinger. I don´t know yet what will make her leave King´s Landing and travel to Winterfell but she will.
I am pretty sure the only plotline left for the last season will be the White Walkers, everything else will be resolved. -

That's why I am so interested in how she would react. I don't want something big maybe just a comment that Winterfell is for the Stark. But I don't expect or want some big disagreement between them. Hell one of the reason I want them to meet is for the feeling that for once something good really happen to Arya. Meeting the rest of her family she's been trying to get to for so long.

I am on the idea that she will learn there is a new king in the north and will want to know who rule the land of her family.
-
Well alright then. Didn't expect that response but I'll take it.
It's one of the very few things I'm looking forward too.
-

That's the exact reason she'll be killed off. GRRM loves to give us hope and immediately crush it.

Aren't we past the books with Arya?
-
We are past the books on all character's fronts now - except for whatever might've been excluded previously and might be interleaved into the plot now.
If anything, the TV series is more likely to kill of Arya than George is. The showrunners certainly killed of characters who are still alive in the books, seemingly because its one character less to manage, or because that's what GoT is supposed to be, a bloodbath. A lot of those deaths were lacking.
I hope Tyrion accidentally removes a stone from the edge of a cliff, and that leads to a large boulder separating from the cliff and falling on top of all the Sand Snakes down on the beach, having a picnic. Splash. All dead. That'd still be better than the Doran Martell killing.
-
I see the showrunners as less likely to kill their main characters not more. Although either Danny or Jon has to die.
-
Pretty much how i saw it going down. Dany gets nerfed (what happened to "i am going to break the wheel", as always supposedly badass scenes without any merit), Arya goes to the north, the way it happens is a bit anti-climatic but well…, Jon and Dany will be preoccupied with the Night King as i thought while Cersei will have free reign for most of the season.
-
the fact that team dynearis for got about earon in their plan for battle was completely ridiculus
-
We might have spent too much time on the virgins being deflowered.
Looks like Castle Black is the new Meereen, except that Jon Snow will not come back to solve the issue but Arya alias Daenerys 2.0 will be back and kill Littlefinger.
Hope Littlefinger was not your favorite character.I like the dialogues in the Daenerys plotline.
lol by the way at
!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
and wtf was that pointless scene with the wolves?
-
the fact that team dynearis for got about earon in their plan for battle was completely ridiculus
The fact that Varys suddenly does not have any spies anywhere is equally retarded
-
The whole episode was fanservice.
I liked it anyway.
-
Ok Arya is now heading Winterfell, she's safe now.
Missandei tho <3
-
Littlefinger was like, yo, let's play a game of thrones. Jon was like, dude, nah I'll just kill ya.
Littlefinger be like, no, damnit, wasn't expecting Dragons to be occupying the Iron Thrones.
Ghost, where are you damn you?
Jon pretty much much won Sansa over. She wanted to be treated as an equal, and he gave her that chanse. Littlefinger looked rattled. He'll do something soon. For the remainder of the season Sansa will be spending her time dealing with him. And Arya is on her way, as Bran. For both Arya and Sansa, their arc, I think, will also be about maybe getting back that other portion of themselves that they lost. Arya, maybe easing up on her killing spree and being with her family again, and for Sansa to reject what Littlefinger wants her to be.
Greyworm and M-something … damn you. NO! Only 7 episodes. Move it along!
Jon's grandfather killed the other grandfather, when you think about it, lol.
-
There was a lot I didn't particularly care for in this episode, but probably my least favorite is Euron.
! I know nobody is complaining about the Sand Sisters dying but apparently according to this episode he's literally just a batshit Viking berserker who tanks hits from assassins like they're nothing and just brute-forces every opponent with his insanity. I was pretty disappointed.
By far the best thing in the episode was that scene transition into the soup bowl.
-
Why do everyone still follow Cersei? They all know she's behind the Sept blowing up and killing everyone, hell even fucking Hotpie apparently knows it. The homeless dudes at the Sept were ready to go at it with the Lannisters, now we see no reaction from them after their High Sparrow got murdered. Cersei doesn't have superpowers, she can't just blow shit up at will. I find it hard to believe that Tarly who fought for Aerys despite the latter being mad, now prefers batshit crazy Cersei over his liege lord whose house was murdered in cold blood. To begin with, why hasn't Olenna asked him to join her? Makes no sense.
As for greyscale, now apparently the guys at the Citadel knew how to cure greyscale all this time but didn't because it was dangerous? The greyscale-inflicted people gonna turn mad anyway and die eventually, why bother shipping them away to some god forsaken place instead of curing them? Hell if Sam can do it any of them can.
And again we waste time on Missandei and Greyworm. WHY?
The only good thing in this episode was the sand bitches being butchered.
-
and wtf was that pointless scene with the wolves?
That was Nymeria, Aryas Direwolf she left in the riverlands…
-
According to the after credits stuff, Arya saying "That's not you" to Nymeria was supposed to echo her line to Ned in the very beginning, when he was talking about her finding a husband and settling down, and she said "That's not me." It was her acknowledging that Nymeria isn't/won't be her loyal little pet.
Of course the fact that we had the scene at all is practically proof that Nymeria will come in with a clutch self-sacrificing save when some dastardly asshole is about to kill Arya.
By far the best thing in the episode was that scene transition into the soup bowl.
Also this haha. Between last episode and this one, Sam has a trend going with gross body stuff-> food transitions.
-
I didn't like Euron either.
But it seems the youtube comment section loved to see a "badass" killing some women and all. Also, Theon will just drown and we'll never see him again. damn.
That was Nymeria, Aryas Direwolf she left in the riverlands…
But then why did Arya say "That's not you?"
And what is the point of that scene btw if it's Nymeria?"hie!, bye!"

lol, was anyone supposed to understand that ?
-
I sure as fuck didn't haha. About the callback to s1, anyway.
But from the context it was clear that Arya was letting Nymeria leave the nest again, and that obviously Nymeria will be back despite that.
-
I'm afraid that the point of that scene is…
[hide]The writers said that it is supposed to be closure for Nymeria. It showed that Arya has come to understand that Arya and Nymeria can never reunite, as they both of taken separate paths, leading them to a new life.
I'm afraid this means that Arya, having faced this situation, has come to the conclusion that she is no long a part of Jon's and Sansa's life. That now, she is going to turn around again and go straight to King's Landing.[/hide]

When I saw it I actually thought Arya was in full denial that it wasn't really Nymeria or something lol

And welcome back to "Complaint Competition!"! Remember kids! Your friends and kind want to know you're the least satisfied lump on the block! No time to think through any complaints at all! Just spit em out!
Why do everyone still follow Cersei?
Why did people follow the Mad King all the way until he was about to be finished off by Robert's rebellion? Because she has the crown. Also…who is "everyone"?
The homeless dudes at the Sept were ready to go at it with the Lannisters, now we see no reaction from them after their High Sparrow got murdered.
Now this one I'm going to leave for you to realize why its dumb.
Read your own sentence over carefully. Try thinking about how you described the location of the Sparrows and why this might not be an issue anymore for the same reason.Cersei doesn't have superpowers, she can't just blow shit up at will. I find it hard to believe that Tarly who fought for Aerys despite the latter being mad, now prefers batshit crazy Cersei
He doesn't prefer her? Why do you think Jaimie was chasing his ass down? He wasn't turned to Cersei.
over his liege lord whose house was murdered in cold blood. To begin with, why hasn't Olenna asked him to join her? Makes no sense.
The base scenario is he is already on her side as her vassal dude. The entire reason Cersei has to call Reach lords is because they're under someone she is trying to move them away from.
As for greyscale, now apparently the guys at the Citadel knew how to cure greyscale all this time but didn't because it was dangerous?
….yes?
The greyscale-inflicted people gonna turn mad anyway and die eventually, why bother shipping them away to some god forsaken place instead of curing them? Hell if Sam can do it any of them can.
The guy who found the cure died of Greyscale.
Basically this entire part you wrote here seems to be coming from someone who has completely forgotten how Greyscale spreads.
I mean you could have googled it to remember the details, but it wouldn't be Complaint Competition if we did things like actually fact check our bitching would it. -

-
People don't know that Cercei can't blow up the city on command. Besides, she would just spin it up to be "punishment of the gods for my walk of shame". And didn't Jaime called her on the "queen of the seven kingdoms" -> "two, three tops".
Westerosi history lesson! the original seven kingdoms were: The North, The Vale, Pike and the Riverlands (both Haren->Greyjoys, and Tully->Frey->?), The Rock (Lanisters), The Reach (Tyrels), The Stormlands (Baratheons) and Dorne. With the Targaryens, the official separation of Pike and the Riverlands, plus the stablishment of King's Landing and the Crowlands (a small bite of the stormlands, and the riverlands, plus Dragonstone and some islands) made the grand total 8 grand lordships and the capital.
-
Direct skin contact right? But can't people just put on some gloves ? like Sam
It can stick to inanimate objects and spread that way as well.
Also do you really think medieval gloves while removing a shitload of infectious puss spewing skin scales is remotely safe?
-
And his face isn't protected, if that's pus, that isn't just oozing but popping and splashing as well.
-
I wasn't feeling Euron (not enough Crazy Devil-Worshipping Magic Viking Pirate Man for my liking) until this episode; mixing him with Victarion was a good move.

It's never not been funny to me that the Riverlands doesn't count as one of the Seven Kingdoms. The Riverlands, always getting shit on.
-

Same. Arya, just because you learned to change faces doesn't mean your wolf can do it, too. Probably.
