Out of a certain obligation, I've mostly began focusing on Dreamland, which is not really a manga, it's made in France by a French dude who likes One Piece and Dragon Ball.
-It has an excellent set-up, but it has a lot of shonen action stuff. The plot is largely coherent and the adventure part's nice, but I'd wished the Dream World was fleshed out and given more rules. Like, how do they always meet up at the same place? How do you have a linear journey if you have to wake up and come back?
-And the art sucks. There should be a rule that you shouldn't do ecchi if your art is lame, looking at you Yugioh. There character designs look samey at times and sometimes I have a hunch some parts were copied (not traced, maybe only referenced) But other than that it looks like One Piece a lot.
-The non-Japanese viewpoint is interesting, I don't think there are many manga characters who stop to look for magical weed.
I can't really bring myself to strongly dislike it, because I think that the author enjoys making this, he's living a weeaboo dream in some way, which I have to respect in some sense. It's vague.
But now one thing that caught my attention is that Batoto is considering going private/semi-private? I've been considering making an account there, but I've never really felt any obligation to do so, I had nothing much to say. Should I do it? That's the question here.
