I'm guessing the epilogue will be as crazy paced as the last few chapters.

Since we're going to end soon, I'll be a shameless whore and self-promote my (now complete, with a sequel running!) Bleach story. -
No. Kubo really is just that bad pacing. And this manga truly never was going anywhere.
Considering Kubo introduced the mystery of SK body parts fighting as quincies during the recent Sternritter fights (and Mayuri even referenced it as making no sense), I am pretty sure he at least had something planned at that point that got scrapped.
-
The SK limbs weren't resolved/elaborated on, but at least that's slightly better than the Bankai stealing, which infuriates me on it was carried out:
-Bankais are (somehow) stolen, huge deal, Sasakibe dies telling Yamamoto
-Shinigami prepare
-Byakuya, Soifon, Komamura, and Hitsugaya share a moment of stupidity and lose their Bankais at the SAME TIME. This is extra dumb in Soi's case, because she herself hates the flashiness of her Bankai and wouldn't just whip it out like a flasher in a trench coat
-Shinigami get owned, no one pulls off a victory with Shikai or kido. Extra dumb when you realize Rangiku, Soi, Byakuya, and many more still have pretty threatening Shikai.
-some Stern Ritters do use it, like Cang and Bambietta. As Nodt shreds Byakuya
-Yamamoto loses his own, but not before a) getting duped by a fake (like a chump) and b) Kubo giving us some ridiculous justification that he and Ichigo were immune because [potential]
-Urahara finds solution via confusing Quinzi antibody concept, but no one STILL improvises for their fights
-Bach doesn't seem really bothered by it at all, almost as if the stealing was entirely pointless!
-Bach himself never used flaming death skeletons because [reason needed] -
I saw a post about the ending of both Bleach and Nisekoi just now. To quote my immediate thought
The big difference is that Nisekoi seems to be finishing, having spent the last few months tying up plot threads while Bleach is just ending after needlessly prolonging its most recent fights and having to rush-job its way to a conclusion.

How did urahara figure out the whole hollow antibodies thing? I mean did he deduced it from the quilge fight? Because that makes no sense. Ichigo was still using Fakegetsu zanpakuto. Whatever, stupid plot point is stupid.

How did urahara figure out the whole hollow antibodies thing?.
That's another thing - I've come to dislike Urahara as well, maybe because he almost always has the solution to everything (this arc especially). Sure Aizen and Mayuri are in a similar boat, but the former morphed into a delightful self-parody of himself and the latter has that oddball charisma enforced by his unique design and unabashed cruelty.
Urahara on the other hand incorporates smug into a different way - a teasing cheeky demeanor that is always hiding secrets and is never 100% honest with the people around him. I always felt that his connections to Yoruichi and Tessai were what humanize him from being a complete calculating mastermind to y'know, more of an eccentric mentor, but his backstory was never really explained. Especially on the Yoruichi front - her brawns complement his brains, and usually you feel that they're a team, but that feeling (for me) turned sour when he decided to forcibly make her into a cat-minded fetish machine against Askin.

I thought we've known for sometime (late June?) That bleach would end in 5 chapters. And it's gonna be impossible for Kubo to do an epilogue that addresses even half the things that need addressing before wrapping up this shit show.
-
snip
There's also the point of Aizen's sword coming back even though at the end of his fight with Ichigo it was said to have been destroyed(?)
-
I thought we've known for sometime (late June?) That bleach would end in 5 chapters..
The number wasn't hard confirmed, and a former Jump head said "less than 10 weeks", so we weren't sure of the exact count left. Then you had people on the other side who were insisting "volume 74 will be the last" was some kind of translation error, or that the volume would have more than 10-12 or something. But now we have the answer - ending in issue 36/37, in the same month as it debuted 15 years ago. @SomeRandomGuy:
There's also the point of Aizen's sword coming back even though at the end of his fight with Ichigo it was said to have been destroyed(?)
I guess you use whatever Hogyoku excuse comes to mind (also i was just talking about Bankai stealing :))
-
We had a strong suspicion that it would end around early-mid August when vol 73 was released and stated that the following vol would be the last. But we couldn't be 100% sure since it was always possible for the last vol to be thicker than normal.
Then the spoilers about the coming up cancellation round reduced the possible range to about 2 issues. But again, not yet a 100% lock on the August 8 issue being the final chapter.
Latest spoilers pretty much seal the deal. -

They can regenerate as long as they weren't broken in Bankai. Given Aizen's power he probably regenerated it instantly. But how on Earth was he able to trick Yhwach that quickly? And if it's that quick, why didn't he use it on Ichigo when they fought?
-

Maybe Aizen's chair was his zanpakuto? He did trick SS captains when he used it as his fake dead body. And Yhwach already seen his shikai chair without realized it is a shikai. Yhwach was tricked about "time" after he went meet Aizen for the first time in underground prison (my guess).
-
I still cannot see how this is going to end in just one chapter in an even remotely satisfying way. Maybe the spoiler is leaving out things, but if the chapter ends on the final strike - and that is what is sounds like - then that means the battle will conclude in the next chapter, AND Kubo has to shove in an epilogue. On a total of 18 pages. My guess is that either those spoilers are leaving out things at the end of the chapter, Bleach will not end on an epilogue / only cover the main characters and pretty much none of the SS characters, or we are in for a bizarre surprise ending next week.
-
@Mr.:
Holy shit I feel bad for the fans.. Someone like me who isn't one can laugh off this train wreck of a finale and go about my business like it's nothing, but an actual fan has to be devastated! This is gonna be the greatest/worst ending I've ever witnessed. Bleach got cancelled. Hard!
I don't especially the ones that took the blue pill and continue to live on in a world where Bleach hasn't faltered and everyone must praise it in spite of flaws. I see these assholes show up
every time on ANN whenever something comes up on the manga. This makes Shaman King plants look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Ichigo does his final attack then faints. He wakes up days later to Orihime calling his name. Every important character is there too, smiling. They thank Ichigo. Ichigo says it was his duty as a Shinigami. The chapter, and therefore the manga, ends on a blank page, sign of a future cleaned off Bach's influence, and with Ichigo's words, "Let's go home now."
-
Shaman King Plants?
The last arc was about going into the "plants" owned by each Patch judge and fighting them.
-

You know, the idea of Kubo deciding to end his story just for its 15th anniversary regardless of pace, execution, plots, whatever, but just because it would be so cool and good writing is… So stupid it may be the case.(I'm not serioulsy thinking it is the case) (i'm not) (... Maybe a little)

Sounds like an acceptable ending….well, given the circumstances right now. Doing a timeskip/adults/couples epilogue from this next chapter is just too abrupt of an ending.
-
(also i was just talking about Bankai stealing :))
Yeah, I quoted the wrong post.
And looking back at your other recent posts for some reason I thought one of them was a general "plothole and bullshit" list off for the arc, but none of them fit that bill. So apparently I was trying to quote a post I dreamt up.
-
Ichigo defeats Yhwach in this chapter. Then in the last chapter we learn that the entire post-timeskip was an illusion created by Aizen in order to play around a little with Ichigo during their battle. Aizen then dissipates the illusion, kills Ichigo, and goes on a blaze of glory through the Royal Realm until he finally takes up the mantle of the Soul King.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
In all seriousness, though, there's no way we're gonna get satisfactory conclusions to every character and group. I don't want a sequel, but it'd be good to get a one-shot epilogue, sort of like Slam Dunk: 10 Days After for lack of a better example. I really want to know what happened to Komamura and the Royal Guard.
-
Was anyone seriously expecting a satisfactory ending from Tight Kubo?
-
Working on new article guys, I am 99.9% sure it'll be up before the last chapter. (it's on the Stern Ritters)
-
@Purple:

@Purple:

When Ichigo wakes up that night when a truck clashed his house and find his dream of being a Shinigami very weird, goes to school where at the entrance is Orihime, the flat chested school idol, Chad in a wheelchair without arms, Ishida asking Tatsuki what's 2 + 2, and Mizuiro giving chocolates to Keigo for being awesome, then everybody enters… they recall seeing that new teacher familiar, called Abarai Rukia and ends with Renji's entrance along with 3 babies. Overcoming the friendzone is quite satisfactory.
-
I'm only hoping Kubo will deliver the most trollish ending ever.
Also the reaction of the genuine fans to Bleach endings is pretty hilarious.lol
-
Guess we'll never find out what's Bachbeard's true motive was. I assume it had something to do with destroying and recreating all realms in his style and fill them up with his babies(?). What drove him to do that is another question.
-
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Look, I knew that end of Bleach was going to be rushed and disappointing. I was ready for that. But this might be the crowning moment of lol-logic and fake depth.
I'm actually angry right now. I didn't know Bleach could do that.
-
Well, after reading this I feel completely empty and bleached. So I guess this chapter did fully deliver exactly what it intended.
-
Don't you dare bring Soken into this Uryu, he's from a time where Quincies made sense.
Pretty much what you'd expect from le spoilers, but it's almost stupid on how this ends for Bach. I guess what happened was that Kyouka Suigetsu fucked with his seeing of the future, buuuut….Aizen was....absorbed??? before Uryu came, so wouldn't he see the arrowhead?! Furthermore, he was seeing his death, but how/why does Ichigo have a new blade within the Bankai (that's Shikai Zangetsu, apparently)? And wouldn't have Bach have....seen it the first time he broke it?
Gotta love how like with Aizen, he goes out in a pretty pathetic way.
-
I wonder why do I have desire to write incomprehensible words to describe my feelings after reading the chapter. Hurrr hurr durr
-
I am more accepting now that Bleach is about to be cancelled, so I am having fun with these last chapters regardless of how bad they can be.
Good part: it was explained why Ichigo was with his old Shikai in the dream Yhwach had and it was a good explanation. You can tell this is the one (sole) thing Kubo had planned for the end ("I will make the old Shikai kill Yhwach"). This was the good part.
VERY retroactively, we also got an weakness for Aizen's KS: his illusions work on everyone under his hypnosis at the same time. He can't activate the hypnosis in one person and keep another from seeing it if both had been placed under KS power once. The Uryu part was terrible though. This was as contrived as can be. Kubo could simply say that this silver blood thing was something Uryu found out while working for Yhwach and then passed the information to his father. It would still be ridiculously convenient, but it would at least make Uryu's betrayal not so pointless and would kinda justify why this was never brought up before.
Also, if Uryu shoot from the ground somewhere from Yhwach's side, how the hell did it pierce from that angle? -
"I have the ability to rewrite even my own death, but apparently I can only use this ability once (or it has a cool down)". So there you go Bach basically loses just because, and we never got to see what Ichigo's bankai did. A cancelled Bleach is an amusing train wreck.
-
So how did ichigo's new zanpakuto revert back to its old fakegetsu form? All these questions and more will not be answered on bleach.
-
Chapter was rushed deus ex machina trash as expected, but guys…. Pls tell me its ending for real next week, cause there is no announcement in the chapter itself whatsoever. I mean there should habe been some kinda notice right?
-
So how did ichigo's new zanpakuto revert back to its old fakegetsu form? All these questions and more will not be answered on bleach.
It's one of his new abilites I guess. The only one of bunch we got to see I guess. Or Kubo just didn't like design of his new bankai and decided to break it and throw the old zan in his hands.
-
So, when did Bach see Aizen release KS?
-
My power is to see every possible future! Whoops, someone shot me with an arrow.
My power is to see every possible future! Hey, this glimpse of Ichigo that I've been shown earlier totally has to be a dream, and not a vision or anything, right? Because WHY would I think it's anything OTHER than a dream. -
So, when did Bach see Aizen release KS?
It was kind of implied he might have seen it when he visited him in jail back then (Bach mentions he lost his feeling of time back then), though that raises the question why Aizen was able to release KS at that time in the very first place.
-
So, when did Bach see Aizen release KS?
in all futures and pasts, the weakness of being all seeing.
-
So the only ability of Ichigo's Bankai is to restore his old Shikai? Absolutely not underwhelming and pointless at all!
space
And of course, there's Yhwach, who doesn't share why he can be tricked by Aizen in the first place. And how does Aizen show Kyoka Suigetsu when he's being completely restrained in a chair? And why, then, can Yhwach not see the arrow flying behind him? Why did he not alter the future of his death like he said he would? Why, instead of cracking Ichigo's Bankai, did he not slice it apart like he did before? Better yet, why not just go to the future when he succeeds and everything is destroyed? Saves a lot of hassle
space
In the end chapter, we'll definitely need to see what happens to Team Karakura. Will Shunsui completely forget about his initial quandary with Ichigo due to the gaping hole in his chest? Also we do need to find out what happens to the Soul King and how balance is restored. I support Aizen becoming Soul King. And lastly, it would be good to find out what happens to Urahara and co. Probably they get shown just fine, outside Askin's death sphere, with zero problem.
-
It was kind of implied he might have seen it when he visited him in jail back then (Bach mentions he lost his feeling of time back then), though that raises the question why Aizen was able to release KS at that time in the very first place.

Now, that makes a little more sense. It's still dumb. I thought you had to see it directly or something.

Bleach 684 Spoilers
! Aizen deactivates Kyoka Suigetsu. Yhwach says he will change the future where he died and attacks Ichigo. Ishida shoots him with the silver arrowhead (Gin’s arrowhead) and Yhwach’s abilities are totally shut for an instant.Ichigo attacks him with Zangetsu, Yhwach gets his abilities back and blocks it with one hand, but Zangetsu’s outer shell cracks and Zangetsu’s shikai appears from inside it, slashing Yhwach in half.Bleach Ending notice15th anniversary and the legendary super-climax with color pagesIt's ending next week everyone, prepare your butts for this legendary ending.
So horrible, Bach has stopped Ichigo's powered up sword, yet some how this lesser version cuts him with no problem. Also why can't he just reform himself again he regained his powers correct.

When were you under the impression that it had to be directly? I don't believe that soul society has video cameras. Wait. They do. There wasn't any indication on any way or another, but I like my version better, and aizen just tested it when ywshshsh visited him.
-
Where - kind of implied = you can fill out the plot hole yourself if it will make you more comfortable? :D
?! I just answered your question by pointing out this could have been where he saw it (I'm too lazy to look up the chapter but he also said he lost his feeling of time or something along those lines) while pointing out this opens another plot hole, so what are you even talking about?
