Seeing those awesome campaigns I realized I need a program/tool to make gifs with OP heads and such. Any suggestions from the veterans so I can step up my game?

After Effects for motion tracking, using a plugin that would convert that to .gif or justimporting the footage to photoshop, exporting as save for web.Doing it by hand in photoshop is too much of a hell… unless it's just simple movement and rotation, and scaling I think I recall photoshop having ability to keyframe those transformations now in video timeline.
-
Thanks, I will try it out.
-
I did something way more primitive lol which is why my bad gifs were so choppy.
Since I'm not talented in graphic design at all, first I found an existing gif that I wanted to edit.
Next, I uploaded it to a website that will break the gif down into single frame images and give you a zip of them.
Then I edited each frame, image by image, and saved them, then I uploaded all of them to this website which will create the gif for you, you can edit the speed as well.
Next I saved the finished gif to my computer, then uploaded it to giphy.com, which allows large files.
-
I use this website for most of my pics. It has a gif editor and everything, its a hand tool~
-
I prefer Adobe Premier. I've been tempted to use After Effects, but my computer can barely handle it.
1. I save a gif or download a youtube video using this site (WARNING: Don't go there and download without a good firewall or adblock and all those programs).
2. Use Photoshop (free image programs like Gimp or Firealpaca should also work) to cut out the heads, remove background and save as PNG to keep the image transparent.
3. Import all of it into Premier
4. Manipulate the images by using the effects window (scale, placement, rotate).
4.5 Put in titles to create text
5. Export as animated gif
6. Upload to ImgurLike all programs it's confusing at first, but once you know what to do it's very simple. That hair gif took me less than an hour.

Some of us suck, Zar D:
I really need to buy photoshop one of these days >_> I used the free trial recently and had the time of my life.
-
I used to do it with After Effects, but since I didn't need it anything else, it wasn't meant to be.
Nowadays I open the timeline window in Photoshop and keep tinkering with layers.

This IS a One Piece forum. You should just pirate it.

Gimp is fun and free. And what a name!
-
Cavendish lost out to Barto.
Again.
:(
-
I have been sleepy as all hell so not been majorly active but I want to support Apoo, considering I'm the one who nominated him?
And I don't want a 1 point off of drawing/getting into the main round (neither do I want a colossal loss)
But I'm very tired what do I do.
Instilling my inner Beka just won't do especially considering how close it was before. -
Can we restart the tourney? I know… No... But I already can't wait for the next one
-
So that happened.
-
Who is ready for the massacre that is the 4# match ? I am not. :v
-
My campaigns are ready. My heart is not.

Sorry, Ugly, I missed replying to this since I was sleeping. It was something I wanted to answer though so am doing so here.
I had a friend who constantly asked me when Usopp would die, he said he was worthless, cringe inducing and didn't add nothing to the plot, then I showed Water 7 to him, case closed.
But, I still wait for some Usopp's backstory, his current one is pretty meh, just like Zoro's one. But yeah, Oda did a great job with Usopp's character evolution, he is getting stronger but he continued being funny and the light part of the crew.Huh… I wouldn't say its meh, when you look at the full thing, Usopp has a sad back story. Its sadder than Zoro's. Only Chopper & Robin beat him.
Yes, Nami's was sad, but she still had her sister and the villagers to look after her, to love her. While she wasn't aware of all of the village looking after her she was aware of Ganzo and Dr. Nako looking after her.Usopp had no one, no family and near to no friends. Kaya only came into the picture about 1 year before he met Luffy.
This comic strip by shejov does a decent job showing Usopp's backstory. this is my review to it=
_"I like it…
Though you're right about around what time he met Kaya. He met the boys much earlier. In ch. 40 it was revealed that Usopp met the boys of Usopp's Pirates 5 years prior. Since Usopp was 17 and they were only 9 at the time, that means he met the boys when he was 12 and they were only 4 years old.
That doesn't make much difference in your tribute though since he -at nearing teenhood- had to be pretty lonely to befriend toddlers. Most kids at 10-13 don't like playing with only 4 yr olds.I agree it was a lot of Usopp's insecurity about himself there in the fight with Luffy over Merry, he merely used the ship as a cover for himself. Though it really did land a blow to Usopp in the argument before the fight that Luffy basically said that if Usopp felt that way then he can leave the crew. Nami scolds him and Luffy takes it back but the damage is done ... Luffy had (unintentionally) confirmed Usopp's fears of being left behind by telling him to leave the crew in fit of anger.
Both were wrong in that dispute, Usopp should have talked about his insecurity instead of projecting it onto a broken ship, and Luffy shouldn't have said that. While they reconciled, only Usopp apologized for what was said and done. At least I don't remember Luffy ever saying he was sorry for saying that to Usopp. If someone knows if he did, please reply with the chapter number in it happened. "_

I would Nami backstory is sadder than Usopp and Luffy was wrong in the argument they had about the boat(also the same for Zoro).
-
WOW, what a tearjerker "behind the fame" story, it showed facts that usually is perceived by a few dozen of people, great story.
I guess that, since this was the beginning of One Piece, Oda didn't knew how to make detailed stories like he did with Robin, Nami or Luffy he had to use subjective hints.Overall, Usopp is a great character.
-
I'm so happy that my girl Robin won the the second match of Round 1.5!! GO ROBIN!

So that happened.
I think that pic and this one
! literally left me laughing for 70 seconds straight. Whenever I thought I had my shit together I looked back at the screen and was back in a whirlwind of uncontrollable giggles.
I apologize from the bottom of my heart I didn't manage to vote for beautiful Viper in time. -

Most mangas start with very short early stories and plow through a whole mess of arcs in their first two years before slowly growing in length.
-
There's plenty of time to expand on Usopp's story.
After all his dad, Yasopp, is on Shanks' crew and sometime near/ or at the end, Strawhats will meet the Redhair Pirates. Also there is some sort of strife between Yasopp and Vista of Whitebeard Pirates. They were seen glaring at each other at end of the war and ODa confirmed in a SBS that there was something , though he didn't say what.
Lets remember that Nekomamushi is looking for Marco so the remaining of that crew could join the alliance, so we may see Vista sooner than Yasopp. -

I still wanted to read that little side plot for Usopp in Loguetown, is a shame that was cut due to time.

You can still watch the filler.

Wasn't it printed in a book? I read about that, something about a novel about Lougtown but I've never been able to find out if that's true.
That one wasn't the only time a side plot concerning Usopp was cut out.
Also was the time in Water 7, Usopp crosses paths with Garp and they talk. It was going to reveal that Garp recognizes Usopp as the son of Yasopp and during the talk he tells Usopp that Yasopp is still alive and still part of Shanks' crew.
Like the timing of Lougetown where Usopp's encounter with Daddy Masterson was cut out, the encounter with Garp was cut out due to timing, -
Those voting numbers :o what a beautiful moment

Aggressive campaigns count for alot. Norland won in 2013 basically on the back of his campaigners, and its what elevates the relatively minor side characters into the big leagues.

No I'm talking about the 11-11-11-11-25-4-5-6 o.o it's a pretty occurrence
-
I told you that the 4th match would be brutal, also, Whitey Bay will make a surprising comeback…
-
Damn. Out of all the champions, I didn't expect Whitebeard not to make it.
-
It actually went about as I expected it too champion wise. Whitebeard and Norland aren't exactly overall favorites. Whitebeard steamrolled due to it being the height of his awesome screen time and has since never reappeared in the manga, him being dead and all. Norland's run was completely unexpected and again due to him being referred to in the manga while the Strawhats were in Tontatta. Much of his campaigns were based on the fact that he would never be relevant again so it was now or never. Everyone else is either a Strawhat(who were definitely getting through), well beloved characters who have consistently had great success(Bon Clay) or someone who was recently relevant(Bartolomeo) and even he barely made it through.
Wondering what Round 2 has in store for us. I have to say I'm hoping for a straight up 1 v. 1 tournament from now on. I know we've done tag team matches in the past but I've always felt like they kind of take away from the individual characters. It'd be especially weird with us already having some large groups like the Strawhat Fleet moving on. In the end all I really want is an easy matchup for Kaku. Hope beyond hope~

But that doesn't explain Vito to me. He is a thousand times less likeable than Norland. I'm still wondering what happened there.

The power of campaigns. Stelly's no angel, either :ninja:
-
Stelly I can understand. He's a big wig. A relevant antagonist.
Vito just has big hands and a long tongue??
-
If I liked Pekoms a little less, Vito would've won me over with the Assassination Classroom parody. That was hilarious.
With that said, I'm incredibly happy to see Pekoms move forward, especially since he's relevant in the story right now.
-
Stelly already had a following before his reappearance. So his being a king now actually isn't that big of a reason for his win. Most of the fans were already there before, they just have new material.
Stelly started out just like Vito, appeared in one issue and someone decided it be funny to be a fan. Then the ball got rolling and people actually liked something about him.
No the one that's hard to explain is this pretender "Fred". Yes, he looks impressive but he's a pretender, a liar.
How can someone be a liar if they appear in only 1 panel and never spoke? Well note he presents himself in these contests as an 'awesome octopus fishman'. The fishman is true, I won't debate the awesome as there is no proof to the contrary. ITs the octopus part that's a lie. He's a squid fishman -
Thanks for participating in this impromptu round, folks. The Round 2 Discussion will be up in a few minutes, so stay tuned.

Well, that was how he was first nominated and that's how he's stayed.
