President Enrique Peña Nieto submitted a proposal to the Mexican Congress to legalize gay marriage.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/18/world/americas/mexico-gay-marriage.html?_r=0
Mexico's Supreme Court (SJCN) has already issued rulings that states could not legally ban gay marriage so this just enshrines it as the law of the land.

Generally speaking, that's true of most articles on most websites.

I'd read something nice and my face would go from …. :getlost:..... in the few seconds it takes to scroll down. The internet is full of morons >_>

Not a good year for Egyptian aviation . Or aviation in general (the last 3 hears have been the worst).

Hmm, sort of the opposite of the problem I mentioned either. Jumping the gun and being quick to call someone transgender.

My aerospace engineering professors in college all predicted that this would happen as jet fuel became more expensive. Airline companies cut corners to save money, usually reducing the frequency with which they inspect their planes. Leaves more room for failures to occur during operation.

I have actually heard about this. Ideally they should be able to compensate by reducing the ticket prices hence increasing the passengers to make up for the losses I guess?! That creates a temporary deficit which will be taken care once the fuel price starts decreasing. However, that also depends on if there is a steady set of domestic passengers who they can tap into for low cost airlines during that part of the year. I mean generally, during holiday seasons they can tap into it but other months are sorta difficult. Tricky economics!

They should compensate for a raise in costs by lowering their prices????????? This makes no sense at all.
Perhaps such a strategy could allow to eliminate weaker rivals, but that's it. And it would leave very vulnerable to the entry of new competitors because of the depleting of cash reserves.

It would be a bad asset if they pay a lot for the fuel and increase costs ultimately making expensively maintained planes run empty.
If it is the time of the year where it has non-festive months hence having less travelers, it won't make sense to increase the costs hence making the travelers opt for a different airline. So generally airlines reduce their prices inviting more customers and making sure their planes don't run with empty seats. Planes are supposed to carry a minimum amount of fuel even if it runs with 0 passengers. Ticket cost increase isn't feasible BUT reducing the fuel present in the plane to a bare minimum or illegally, a bit less than the allowed minimum can be an option for the planes to save up some money
The big guys in the airline industries won't worry much if the fuel price increases because they know that it won't stay that way for long hence some of them won't mind running on a deficit. The know that the cycle will come back with lower prices again OR they could make money other ways inside the airlines (food, water etc) however less it might be
Airline industry is a very capital intensive segment and have LOTS of debts so it isn't common for them to lash out money to reap the rewards over the longer run (which they always do). The airlines that get hit badly due to higher fuel prices are generally the smaller ones which ultimately end up selling their companies to bigger ones
Edit: Incidentally, I am meeting my pilot friend this weekend. Perhaps he might be able to enlighten me on any of the factors that I might have overlooked here

I highly doubt anything will anything come of those trials but that's just business as usual here.
Both cases that have happened the judge basically told the prosecution that they rushed into it and have proved nothing.
Looks like Mosby is gonna be ran out of town soon for using Freddie Gray's death to try and make her career without building a proper case

much needed change, more regulations should follow this. it really pisses me off when i keep seeing people accusing refugees of being criminals or rapist when most of these individuals aren't even syrian refugees, they're mostly people smuggled from north african countries or other countries.
hell there's smugglers in here who'd take you to turkey for a reasonable price. shit is so fucked up, turkey seems to be littering people all over europe.

And you say that like Turkey itself isn't swamped with more refugees than the whole EU combined.
Refugee crisis in Europe is least price to pay for fucking up many countries in name of human rights

They talk about human rights for Iranians so if Iranian become refugees in Europe or Australia are they gonna receive human rights? No

The West only had a hand in one of the Arab Spring revolutions, Libya.
And uh….Iran has a lot to do with the Syrian war so maybe not the best topic to cast stones on.
this is just my assumption but shia people are considered more trustworthy than sunnis. because they're enemies of isis.
so yeah if iranians were to be displaced, they won't have any less than what the syrians are getting.
this is just my assumption but shia people are considered more trustworthy than sunnis. because they're enemies of isis.
I'm sure the astute and understanding skinheads and populist politicians in Europe will make that distinction.
That already extremely flawed conclusion.
my point is that there won't be any discrimination against iranians in particular if they were to become refugees, like he believes there would. they would all fall under the same umbrella when it comes to the people you mentioned yeah.
Got to love that russian humor…

take a look at all refugees in greece where is human rights in returning refugees how passed sea with boats with 100 person in each
if any revolution starts in iran iran becomes another syria or even worse saudi and freinds are waiting for a chance last time they supported iraq with big bags of money and UN didnt do anything

Well, you'll get human rights by force like the others, just wait few months, she is coming. God help us.
Westerners did play their games and did their dirty tricks in Egypt and Tunisia as well, but off the grid. In Syria, Irak and Lybia, their shit is obvious and apparent, as well as arming their ally to destroy Yemen. All these regions are fucked up and meddling with Lybia has great impact on the neighboring countries. Tunisians, Algerians, Malians, Chadians can tell you about this shit and what they got as a direct outcome of the Lybian "Revolution". So even when they apparently don't get involved, their actions are all over the place. Things are meant to be the way they are now, that is having countries destroyed to be places to destabilize any country with the slightest chance be independent. Lybia has been destroyed to fuck up Africa a little more and to destroy Chinese rising influence, and also for the Gaddafi's gold and oil. Syria and Iraq are destroyed to never let Lebanon and Iran have some rest. Very simple.

You don't like me only talking about these things. And these are only words in a forum thread. Now try to imagine, what to think when your life can be decided by who the Americans will vote for, or when you see a talk show and hear people saying they should go here and there and send the military… Or when a foreign president can order drone strikes at his likings even though 9 out of 10 strikes, they don't know who they hit.... Sure serves them right to be adding a costly refugee crisis on top of a crumbling economy for their crimes.

It's more that you don't really seem to respond to valid objections. You have, on several seperate occasions ignored it when for instance MK points out noticable flaws in the picture your painting, then gone away for a while. Only to come back and paint the very same picture like nothing ever happend. It makes you seem like a ranter rather than a debater.

1 it encourages Iranians to leave Iran
2 they put sanctions on Iran in name of human rights
And also I don't like many things about my countrys government and another revolution is not gonna fix anything
It's the Greek court that said refugees can't be sent back (because it's against European law).
They put sanctions on Iran because they were working on a nuclear program.

Like clockwork, once a month.
The same crap. From a person who admitted to being a conspiracy theorist. And has proven to be an expert at posting links he claims back up his points, but actually don't. And sometimes actually say the complete opposite.
For people to "not like what you're saying" implies they actually think anything you say is credible or accurate.
And unlike most such people they know it doesn't matter that someone point out that you are not credible and accurate.
Because it doesn't matter that we do. You just pop up again the same as before. With the same statements.

It does? I would think Iranians more than anyone in Europe and North America are familiar with the nature of their country and whether they are comfortable with living with it or not.
I don't see how pointing out (or being paranoid idiots who make up stuff about Iran as our right wing likes to do) problems with the Iranian government has influence on Iranians.
I would guess Iranians who leave are ones with genuine fear of their lives (like gay Iranians, and anyone already connected with political controversy), or ones that are like doctors and so forth and (like countless people around the world, including those same European countries years ago) they go to richer more stable countries to lead better lives.
That latter thing can be a problem definitely, brain drain. But Iran as I understand it is well educated, unlike those sorts of African countries that really are severely effected by brain drain.
And also I don't like many things about my countrys government and another revolution is not gonna fix anything
I agree that China style reform is the best course. Violent or street protest style revolution is the kind of thing that would require truly things pushed to the limit to risk.
Iran has moderate politicians and internal debate. It's not a totalitarian state run by one man like Libya was, and Syria is. Or like China was under Mao.
As I've said (aside from the creepy Revolutionary Guard) Iran has the instruments for internal reform.
Your system is already more advanced than 1980's China was when it performed so many reforms. You're still more democratic than they are even now.
There is no reason to wish or push for physical revolution in Iran.
@Monkey:
…...
Yeah, yeah, I know, only YOU know things about everything. I got it. We do not have to reply to you or we will be treated like shit, at least I show some respect. And it doesn't matter what you think about Iran, she is going to have the white house and she thinks totally different from you, and the difference between you and her, is that she can start wars. And she will.
Yeah, yeah, I know, only YOU know things about everything. I got it.
You never refute the debunkings and counter-arguments. You attempt at first, but then give up and melt away, and again you show up and ignore the pressure (or outright refutation) on your arguments like they never happened.
Wolfwood really put it best, its like you just want to rant.
All I post as articles and officials statements are also dismissed and ignored just like that.
Well one of the most common objections that are brought up against you is that certain articles you post are of dubious quality, or opinion pieces and is, seemingly, more often than just jump of points for you to expand your personal beliefs from. Beliefs that go far beyond what, to my knowledge, has been given in any article you've posted. So i would rather say that, as far as i see it, your sources are being looked upon, scrutinized and tend to be left seeming either not clearly enough supporting your line of reasoning or of a state of quality where you'd expect to see other, preferably multiple and varied, sources that validate this information.
I paint the same very picture, because there is only one picture for me.
Which is understandable, i realize that this is a close subject to you. One that prehaps so close to you that it's borderline impossible to try to force an outside, detached view of it. But from a strictly fact gathering perspective, your sources and claims appear to be quite lacking, while your emotional pathos is strong. Making it hard to read your posts as more than passionate rants. I'm not trying to insult you, i'm really not, i'm just trying to convey how i think you are being perceived in this thread.
Which is understandable, i realize that this is a close subject to you. One that prehaps so close to you that it's borderline impossible to try to force an outside, detached view of it.
For the record Smoker-San I don't much care to this point on your part.
You've thrown out accusations at "us" before of being all detached NATO citizens or something like that, but you're not some unique snowflake. You're not even the only Maghrebi (I recall a Tunisian arguing with you on one of the early times of your diatribing).
And you're as guilty as any of us in stepping over your personal place of origin and making sweeping careless statements on predicaments in other locales. Namely as regards the Ukraine, and yes, we have a Ukrainian.
Whatever the origin, whatever the circumstance, I don't find that an excuse for what anyone does with information and news. Short of being an actual warzone survivor who is suffering from some form of like PTSD.
All I post as articles and officials statements are also dismissed and ignored just like that. I paint the same very picture, because there is only one picture for me.
Being able to change your mind when presented with new facts or ideas, or when old ones are discredited, is a key factor in anyone taking you seriously and having a discussion.
Science does this all the time. New evidence comes along, a scientist goes "oh, well, that seems right", and then they discard their old theory and never bring it up again now that they have a better picture of the world.
Its one of the reasons political threads are so toxic, people are completely dead set in their beliefs and there's no changing them, no room for nuance, no matter what is presented to you.
But as a personal example, over the last several months I've taken a much lighter standing on Hillary Clinton as I've become more educated about what she actually has and hasn't done, what specifically different parties have made up that isn't real, and have become more negative towards Sanders as I've learned more about his record and what he has done. Neither of them have changed, but I have become more educated on the matter. A few years ago I thought "All Republicans are stupid idiots" but now i've ammended that to "I'm not smarter than literally half the population, its that the republicans at the highest rungs of power that are catering to the lowest denominator of their base that are nuts, but the average citizen is fine mostly."
If you're just making a dogmatic personal fanfiction of the world, with no room for being further educated or possibly changing your mind, then there's no reason to talk to you or take you seriously. That makes you a conspiracy theorist at best, or an obnoxious troll at the worst.
Sorry for breaking up the justified triple teaming of Smoker-San
Reminder that Smoker-San once put forth the idea that ISIS is an invention of NATO. Like literally an invention.

You guys remember Y'allQueda? Those terrorists that took over that wildlife preserve for a little bit before being arrested?
Well, they're whining in prison that their "Rights are being violated."
You can't make this up. In an official complaint they are making, they are trying to make the argument that their first amendment rights are being violated because they aren't allowed to talk to each other whenever they want, and they are actually trying to argue that… ok, I can't just tell you about this level of stupid, you need to read it yourself:
@Ryan Bundy:
My rights are being violated. My right to life is being violated. All of my First Amendment rights are being violated. My right to freedom of religion is being violated. I cannot participate in religious activities and temple covenants, and wear religious garments. I could wear them at Henderson, but MCDC is depriving me of the right to wear them. My right to freedom of speech is being hampered by monitoring and recording. My right to freedom of assembly is being violated; I am not allowed to see my brother and move about.
Yesterday, I attempted to discuss these issues with the U.S. Marshals, and they said that these were simply the jail rules. I asked them specifically about if there was any reason for the ‘keep separate’ orders. In Henderson, my brothers and father were housed together. Up here, they make efforts to keep us separate. This violates my right to freedom of assembly. My Second Amendment rights are being violated. I never waived that right.
This is all a festering pile of stupid, but I bolded the dumbest one.
They SEEM TO THINK that, upon being incarcerated, If you don't waive your Second Amendment rights, you should be allowed to keep any firearms you own while you're in prison
The incredible levels of stupid here are staggering. Hysterical, but staggering.

In class I tell my kids to "be quiet". Such are the class rules while we're going over the activity. I also separate certain students who are friends and I know are likely to talk to each other when they aren't supposed to.
Lol I must be violating all sorts of rights.
