The Vinsmoke family's tech sort of explains this scene. Sora may have same floating technology that Germa 66 has, which explains why they both are standing on water in the image. Somehow the world government regressed in terms of technology.

After 3 weeks of No One Piece (it's been 3 hasn't it?)..at long last we get a new chapter!
At even longer last, Jinbei will join the crew soon. Makes sense though since Luffy has the weaker part of the crew with him and it's a Yonko he's facing…though hopefully that means they still get plenty of glory for Nami, Chopper and Brook. It's about time they did.
Overall, it's funny to see Yonji really was his name, as people long predicted. Him having a sister is also interesting. I'm confused that the supposed enemies of the world government from the old tale are now royalty. Defintely keeping thier enemies closer eh? Guess they said they defeated them only to use as propaganda and World government didn't even do that. But then..why marry to Big Mom's family then? All strange.

I mean the Germa 66 ship is a castle itself so they are living like royalty without having any land or a kingdom itself…man, ruling all of North Blue is a huge deal! thats some power. no wonder they were easily able to get the bounty posters changed. and LOL about the Duval fact...Oda turned something comical into something bigger when Duval was 1st introduced.

TBH, first I held back Daddy Vinsmoke's kids, cause they looked not worthy enough to be posted (Sanji's bro doesn't even have a torso, cause I stopped there).
But since an actual sister of Sanji has now shown up, I wanted to share how I imagined such a sister.
And I would have never thought that Oda gives every Vinsmoke curly eyebrows so I've put the swirls somewhere else (ponytail, goatee).About Clockbeard being Sanji's dad:
Just because Vinsmoke is now @ BM's base doesn't mean he isn't in the Reverie's kings-spread. Wapol was still at home in that chapter as well as Dalton.
And according to Reiji, the Vinsmokes have no home to rule right now, so it could be that clock beard is Papa Vinsmoke. His upper face is obscured. If he was just an ugly-face-royal like the other kings shown in that chapter, what point would be hiding that face? -

Also, judging by what we have seen, Yonji does not have a devil Fruit power, but Reiju most likely does. What sort is anyone's guess at this point.
Given Germa 66's connection with the WG, I suspect they might also have ties with their science division and Vegapunk given their affinity with high-tech gadgetry.

It shows another asset of the World Government's propaganda as well, because they tell the public they defeated the Germa 66 when they are really allies to them in secret. Yeah, like someone said it looks like the Germa 66 might be using Sanji's marriage with Big Mom to backstab the world government or something.
Also a Vinsmoke sitcom would be a funny short in the anime.

So there is this old royal family who lost big parts of their influence a long time ago, probably because they were getting too dangerous for someone. The descendants of this royal family are still quite influential, possess large ships and use technological advanced equipment. But here is the catch.
The names of their kids are consecutively numbered and they let them dress like superhero villains.You can find that awesome, but you can't blame someone for trying to avoid these people. Sanji, often seen as a very intelligent man, actually did it in his childhood.

I wish Oda used these designs now, the father can really pass for the "gangster head" look and the daughter has those nice swirls in her hair to add to the look.
Thanks! It's an honor to read this, but retrospective I like Oda's designs more (the ability to walk on water, and the way this is done optically). Germa66 reminds me of Usoppe's goons in that short-story where Luffy was a giant robot.

Do you ever get tired of being too "smart" for this series/Oda? Sometimes you just gotta let it be and have fun. My god not every tiny little thing a writer writes has to be scrutinized, and your personal issues with it don't make Oda a bad writer (not that you necessarily said/think that). Obviously you do like the series right? And it's okay to dislike things about it. It's okay to discuss and analyse. But the poison situation fell flat? Who cares….
I can be prone to nitpicking myself but I actually agree with you here…somwtimes with one piece you can't over think it. You just gotta enjoy the ride. I feel like a hypcorite cuz I've over thought plenty of things in One Piece but it's true.

The only one of the DF-SHs I wouldn't see drowning in the end would be Robin.
Luffy, Chopper and Brook would screw up with those shoes. Remember how Luffy used the waver. He had no control over it.
With those shoes Luffy would goof around until he falls into water. Chopper would do quite the same. Brook is against adrenaline (he hates roller coasters and stuff), so I guess he would be cautious with such shoes, but for comedy-reasons he would still drown. -

Well, the poison thing obviously happened solely so Reiju could be shown using her mysterious power. In addition, showing that there are still toxins out there potent enough to affect Luffy.
Also through this arc, I get the notion that while Yonki has Sanji's weakness toward women, Reiju apparently has a chivalrous side to her. While she clearly wanted some of that sweet sweet stonefish poison, she also makes it clear that she that she's honorably letting letting Luffy off the hook for the time being given his comradery towards Sanji.
How far this chivalry goes is unknown, but it's seems likely she's the only one if the family willing to throw them a bone while Yonji would have killed/imprisoned them all (save Nami). Very unlikely she will give them as much slack if they stop the wedding, however.
