Regarding her fruit, I know that she has a devil fruit that could make her body spiky. Maybe she has the Spike DF? Don't remember its name.
Toge Toge no Mi.
Also, the battle cost the two kings an arm and a leg.

Aside from being a sadistic monster, I think Jack can't go back to Kaido empty handed, he HAS to deliver results and anything that derails/foils Kaido's plans have to be dealt with because if not Jack is done for. When you have an "errand boy" that is Jack's level you really do have to wonder how much stronger Luffy needs to get, if Jack can last more than five days and still have the balls to attack admirals there's no way gear fourth is going to bail Luffy out. He's a mammoth, nature's own rendition of what a "tank" should be.
(I'm scared for what the other two calamities are going to bring to the table, are they equally as menacing or stronger?)
Yeah, Jack is a superbeast who is built like a war machine. And I thought Doffy was a scary son of a biscuit eater. The New World is definitely as scary as Moria describes it and Jack is a prime example.
Jack its pretty much Sundowner from Metal Gear Rising.
Well:
-The Baratie has now Sanji's head in the ship.
-The World is waiting means Revery is coming
-The Baratie has now Sanji's head in the ship.
That head is there since his first bounty poster. We only saw that after the timeskip. See the cover for chapter 627.
Am I the only one who thinks the "crucify and chill" joke is insipid and dare I say crass? I never ever EVER though I'd say this but for the first time I miss Mangapanda's over-literal and bad grammar translations. I'm kinda a purist when it comes to an author's words and intent, I always much rather have things sound awkward and have a translator's note if it's not something from my home culture, than to localize to the very low point of this form of baseless humor.
I digress, on another note, about the ninja, isn't it clear that the monkey mink is the ninja from Wano? He made the ninja sound, how can a non-ninja make a ninja sound? I think he pulled a Bepo, born in Zou left and became a ninja in Wano. In fact now that I think about it that make it make more sense as to why he's a ninja instead of a pure samurai, but that's just a thought as we don't know the structure of Wano's society yet.
@Medical:
Toge Toge no Mi.
Thanks for the info, although I did not understand what 'toge' was, so I had to use the Wikia just to discover that it was the Spike DF after all, haha

You too? Well, I get annoyed when I deal with the swearing, jargon, and the excessively idiomatic and slangy translation of MS, but this 'crucify & chill' made me laugh. I have a strong feeling that it diverges from the literal translation, but it was very funny to the point that I didn't get annoyed.

Actually, the sound he was making turned out to be a pun intended specifically for the Japanese audience.
The monkey couldn't have been Raizou because he was among the first victims of the raid that was done in search for Raizou. If he had been Raizou, Jack would have captured him instead of attacking him and proceeding into Zou.
I thought that the monkey was Raizou as well because of the sound he was making, but I was wrong.

Fear not, I'm sure PowerManga will come to the rescue
Do keep in mind that Jack is already defeated.
That's correct isn't it?
He was beaten by the Marines, but they never said he was captured. He's probably still out there.
Little bit sad noone is commenting on the sick cover story this week, Oda is without peer in the regard of cover page complexity :)
Hopefully the kings learned their lesson. If they would have worked together to fight Jack, maybe he would've been defeated.
nice touch having Jack and co. wearing the bio-hazard jumpsuits from punk hazard
HOLD THE FUCK UP
I just noticed. That. There is a female member. Of the Heart Pirates.
This. Is important information. Somehow.
Urouge´s crew got at least 3 ♫
But glad to see Lawrence got at least one, the more mixed crews the better. Now I need to see gals on Hawkins, Kid and Bege´s crews (not sure about Drake because now hes either an ally or a member of Kaido´s crew, which has at least one girl, Ginrummy)

I hadn't really paid attention to what was going behind Zeff until I read your post. Aparently Carne is pissed off because they changed Sanji's poster picture. It seems like they were using the old one as advertising for the restaurant, haha. Hillarious.
so sanji follow's jack ship?

Just another case of MangaStream trying too hard, Then again, I'm usually thankful in a MS translation that doesn't have an F-bomb on every other page.
In this case, it's not so bad, simply because Sheepshead already seems psychotic enough to say something like that, but he probably only said something like "Come here so I can crucify you" or "You'll get crucified like the others." Still, not as bad as MS translations tend to be in virtually rewriting the script.
Do keep in mind that Jack is already defeated.
That's correct isn't it?
Technically Kaido's been defeated several times, they're extremely resilient despite getting their asses handed to them every now and them lol
And those 3 have all different religions.
EQUALITY!!!
Even better then. The more female characters the better, whether they are main characters or BG ones. That´s why Baroque Works and the mingofamily are my favorite groups, well, one of the reasons at least.
So adding to what people have been saying about the upcoming Reverie, are the two leaders of Zou expected to attend and are they also trying to get Minkmen assimilated into the everyday norm the way fishmen are trying to, so they're not shoehorned into an isolated zone and looked down on? I'm aware they appear to want to be hidden from the rest but I think that's just a front "well, we don't want to be part of your stinking society anyway" kind of deal, since they're a prideful bunch.
Am I the only who thinks that Pedro wasn't being literal about the World Waiting stuff?
And here's yet another post acknowledging how fucking hilarious crucify and chill is. HAHAHAHAHAH
I really hope the dukes eventually get first-hand revenge against Jack. It's only right. I have a feeling Sanji will be back in Chapter 812, which is in 4 weeks. Fingers crossed
Looks like Law went an got himself a woman to join his crew. Some of the others look a lot more unique and less generic now. Good chapter overall as well.
CC's inventions makes a big difference in Kaido's forces.
Too bad there won't be more supplies coming.

I need to check out the raw, I missed that pun. The dead nakama/nickname for Brook pun turned out ok going by the raw. My reasoning for Jack not capturing him is he never knew what Raizou looked like, but as I think about it a little more, that would be really cold if That monkey mink was in fact Raizou and let all of that happen and just watched, very hard to redeem his character after that.
At any rate we need some Wano revelation more than we need Zou explaining, they have been around far too long with next to nothing known. Vivi had to let the crew know what was up before the crew trusted her as much as Kinomon.
Am I the only who thinks that Pedro wasn't being literal about the World Waiting stuff?
I think it's about the Void Century. Reverie makes no sense since they don't deal with the rest of the world anyways let alone the WG parts of the world. I take it as the world is waiting for the Dukes to come and enlighten them on whatever happened.
Here's a strange thought I just had, one of the Dukes is Joy Boy, or maybe they are waiting on him too.
Also, did anyone else notice that the weapons jack uses are stored in the Tusks?
As the tusks on his coat disappear when the weapon is taken out.
So going by his weapons, i guess Jack is for Zoro

Yeah, since page 3.
Kaidou is very burtal. All in all a good chapter, albeit a tad slower paced than I wanted, even if for the sake of that cliffhanger ending to the chapter.
I also really like how they are getting us interested in the people of Zou this chapter. We feel more sympathy for them than we did for the people of Dressrosa.
Definitely Agree but I think if Dressarosa was 20 chapters shorter and focused on some non riku citizens we would have had more weight

I feel like they wouldnt just introduce joy boy like that, and besides I doubt that any character has two flashbacks
JOYBOY will be a much bigger reveal IMO
All this Yonkou hype lol
I wonder how long it's going to last :/

Not to mention the Dressorosian citizens came off as really unlikable even after Doflamingo's masquerade was revealed. Mostly because no one forced them to act like mean spirited pricks to a teenage girl who had nothing to do with the deeds of her grandfather and they openly accepted the fight to death matches during Doffy's reign. As much as Oda tried to depict them as good people at heart, the arc never really refuted Doflamingo's point about humanity loving violence and bloodshed. And as you said the Rikus were the only Dressrosa citizens focused on, but the readers never got a view of the plight of the common people during the Donquixote reign.
All this Yonkou hype lol

Until we actually get to the point where we fight one.
man what a great chapter oda is on a roll
Hopefully the kings learned their lesson. If they would have worked together to fight Jack, maybe he would've been defeated.
I don't think it'll make a difference against CC's weapon.
They were no match for the poison gas, not Jack.
So going by his weapons, i guess Jack is for Zoro
And when Luffy talks about how it's crazy how Kaido has a monster like Jack as his errand boy and it cuts to Zoro directly in the next panel, it alludes to the similarities between Jack and Zoro as their both monsters that follow somebody else and it foreshadows the eventual fight between Jack and Zoro.

I didn't notice that! Gonna have to take another look at the chapter..
Guys, sit back and appreciate the beauty of jack's magnificent pigtails.
Anyway, i suspect pigtails are the current fashion statement in the OP world. EW, franky and jack have them. Before it was sunglasses.
Btw, i like that badass cat

10 years of brainwashing a populace not only through Sugar but through propaganda can do that to people (evidentally the WG supported the DF family's revised account). Remember, those that would have been sympathetic towards the old Riku family were likely already turned into toys. So only the gullible ones remained to fill the stands.
is anyone else worried that future conflicts will seem a bit meh once the strawhats have taken care of kaido's crew?
I mean, if zoro takes out jack shiryu's going to look like nothing in comparison
This is assuming shiryuu doesn't get some crazy power ups as the series goes on. He's not the same as 2 years back and even then he was kinda close to mage magellan level.
Still I get where you're coming from. It's also why I hope zoro vs jack or luffy vs kaido won't be one on one's and more like team ups, sort of like against Oz.
Jack looks really shitty in the bottom panel. If I didn't know he ate a mammoth fruit, I'd think he had eaten a wall closet fruit.
!
His weapon doesn't look that hot either.
I wonder why we never saw Jack go into the hybrid zoan form… that should be stronger than his human form. Come to think of it, we haven't seen Drake's hybrid form either have we? I wonder if ancient zoans are different in that regard, or just too awesome for us to see yet.

I see him as Elephant Gattling eater material here.

Well we barely saw the guy move. And Drake wasn't exposed much either.
Getting a little tired by oversized villains. 3 human mountains in a row, and Dofla was a big guy as well. 2 with pigtails. Granted, the pigtails could have hidden meaning. Big Mom is also pretty big.
I'd really love a little more diversity, regarding size most of all.
Dang good chapter. Keep doing your thing Oda. This is an interesting twist on your storytelling style. At first I was iffy on it but since you are FINALLY showing Sanji, the way you're telling this is starting to pan out.
I don't think it'll make a difference against CC's weapon.

Yes, but what if they team up on jack from the start. They could defeat Jack before the 5 days when Jack used the gaz weapon.
A couple thoughts/comments:
1. What happened to Mangastream? I haven't read English scans for years but I remember they were the good group back then and it was other groups that forum-goers here laugh at/shit on?
2. Is it me or what happened to Inu and Neko the most brutal thing on screen in present day One Piece (technically still a flashback but very recent) since… idk Ace? (which, honestly was presented in more tragical fashion than brutal IMO)
3. That said, it's a bit hard to feel bad for the duo as their fate might turn out differently had they allied and fought Jack together. It's hard to imagine what kind of grudge they hold against each other that in a situation where their entire country's fate is at stake, they still don't want to cooperate. (And IF the grudge is THAT great, you wonder why they are still willing to co-exist, rather than go after each other's throat already) Here is hoping Oda make that eventual explanation a plausible one.
4. Last point still about the two: guessing their importance has to do with either the upcoming Reverie or Poneglyph.
What happened with Sanji?
That's the half history of this ARC.
Anything goes for Sanji at this point, Oda even made sure not to show us Ceasar Clown to make us think he is with Sanji.
The big mom pirate encounter could not be over. Maybe they managed to track SH on Zou in the end, and Sanji left with Ceasar from them, so they don't capture him and protect nami and co? But since the focus is on Kaidou, that would lead to the big mom arcs, so unlikely. And doesn't explain Sanji's ''alive only poster''.
Heck, nothing explains Sanji's ''alive only ''bounty, since it's the first in 810 chapters. It must be something big.
I wonder if Jack and Whitebeard are brothers. Whitebeard http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/onepiece/images/d/d5/Edward_Newgate_Manga_Infobox.png/revision/latest?cb=20150510232836 Jack http://readms.com/r/one_piece/810/3123/6

1. Mangastream is, to me, reliable enough. BUT they often provide some stupidly funny lines in their chapters. If I had the desire to learn the exact intention of every single word, I'd learn Japanese.
2. It's up there. It definitely felt like Oda is continuing his trend of layering on the brutality the further we get into the New World. It's a wise story-telling decision for what I've got to imagine is a very primal reason. But possibly it's a reason as simple as "the stakes are raised higher" that makes increased brutality throughout series that allow for it to be appealing to many people.
To answer your question… Two torn off limbs in one page. It wasn't explicitly shown but the results were shown. Pretty horrific. I sure can't think of anything. Smoker's lashing at the end of Punk Hazard was pretty harsh but doesn't compare to this. This kids' pirate manga has a LOT of brutal things to be quite frank. Arlong shooting Bellemere in the head, young Sanji eating flesh, Luffy getting hooked through the stomach, etc.
