Not different, probably worse. It's One Piece, there's not many people reading this series purely for the action. Transaction is probably the better word for this chapter like someone pointed out.
All I needed in this chapter was there to be a ship near Dressrosa to hype me up for next week. This is one of those chapters where if you read it while catching up to chapter 900, you would be very grateful you didn't have to read this shit weekly.
Only if you 1, can't handle the series on a weekly basis and 2, if you only care about story-related chapters and not everything else then yea probably lol .
I still want to see his eyes. Maybe if Oda gets enough fan reaction we can finally see Doffy's eyes.
The citizens, Kyros, Riku, Rebecca, Bartolomeo, Cavendish, etc. All of them are a big part of the cast that gave life to this arc one way or another, and they deserve every single panel they're getting. (If there exists something like deserving a panel)
For the longest arc in OP history, I think you definitely need a respite like this before launching into something else. It's not filler, it's good narrative structure and when someone marathons this arc, it will be a very welcome change of pace.

Also, you're not taking into account is that a lot of characters are developed thanks to Rebecca. The notion that "giving life to the arc" and "doing something to save the country" are the same thing just disturbs me.

This didn't really feel like a chapter, more like an addition to what happened last week. Good, but it felt like half a chapter.
Duh! Luffy was going to fight Doffy's regardless because Law was shot 3 times in front of him and Birdcage.
She gave luffy lunch before that happen so she still wins .

Everyday mangapanda thinks up new ways to be pricks.
Now they have this naruto esque switch out where a pop up appears and they switch the actual page with the pop up, so you try to intsinctively close the popup, ut it turns inti the real page instead, screwing you over.
It would already be a much better chapter if Kyros' moments got swapped out with Law doing the exact same thing.

Oda is really stretching the hell out of this. This chapter should have been included with last week's chapter, at least that's how it would go down in the anime. Defeat and reactions should be in the same episode/chapter and it would have been more impactful that way.

Top right panel, it looks like Law is actually down for the count as well. I'm guessing both Luffy and Law are going to be passed out for a while so they might just wake up in palace beds a few days later or something.
I think we can reasonably assume that we'll go back to Sanji's side for the in-between portion of this and their waking up. Not before wrapping the last bits up though (Sabo, Fujitora, etc.) unless Oda wants to just opt for a quick summary there ala a King Riku explanation.

Oda mostly used her to build up Kyros character and his relationship with her . Even her flashback emphasized Kyros .

Yes she bought Luffy food and was a friend, but at that point Luffy was not planning on fighting Mingo. The plan was to blow up factory and leave. Mera Mera was a distraction. The game changed when Mingo emptied the glock in Laws chest. Still the plan was to rescue Law and then Birdcage. There was no option at that point but to beat Mingo up.
Nothing to do with food.

The thing is..that isn't how weekly chapters work. I think of them as a paragraph in a story. You just can't include those two things in the same paragraph. In the volumes it will be like this but as for the chapters there is a method and formula to it.

Oda could always go with someone rescuing him or he escapes later on by blackmailing the WG.
That chapter went exactly as one would expect it to go. At least Doffy's wild ride is finally over, but the end-of-the-arc stuff is prolly gonna drag like 10 chapters.
Also, Rebecca did nothing wrong you BULLIES. Useless, sure, but she didn't choose to be useless.

No way this chapter should've been added to last week's. That's crazy.
Now, this wasn't what one would call eventful. I feel like something a bit more meaningful could've been added, like a nice quote by someone here or there, but it was standard "it's-finally-over!" fare.
Not much to talk about, I'd say it was cool to slightly see how fucked up the country ended up by the birdcage and Kyros hiding so he could openly cry were the highlights.
DR arc had a lot of potential (CP0, burgess, sabo, fujitora,…) but it somehow feels like oda wasted it.

Must say that I'm a bit disappointed in this. Not even a fault face for Dofla he was near inscrutable to the end. I was hoping we'd get a little more into his plans or his psychosis.. He broke but he's hardly what you can call bowed.
So many questions left unanswered, the most important being what the hell do you do with him? Now that he's finally down I guess Fujitora will be bringing out the seastone cuffs for the Family and taking them to what's left of Impel Down.

For those who still want answers, calm down. The fight is over, but there is still time for certain things to come to light. Not everything will be answered, but we can still learn a few things. This was mostly a chapter dedicated to the side characters reacting to the win.
As for people complaining about it being a single chapter, nothing I can say to change your minds. However, with how Oda has been handling things, I don't know what you were expecting. With an arc this long on a single island, the stuff will take some time to wrap up. Whether you like certain characters or points is irrelevant, good writing should make sure to encompass all the points that were made. We got to see the citizens and royal family reaction to what happened, as well as the allies. They were a focus on the arc, so this was to be expected. We did get a chapter were the rebels in Alabasta and the people and Skypea reacted to the end of the struggles.

For me the fight is not over. Dofla is not the kind of villain who will lay down there. He will rise and fight again. Luffy destroyed his eyeglasses and maybe for him is likd if u destroy the strawhat for luffy. Dofla will go rampage now and mansherry will heal luffy and lae to fight him again
Things that need to be settled asap:
a) Doflamingo's fate, that falling glasses panel is suspicious
b) Sabo VS Burgess
c) The strawhats are leaving Dressrosa how…? With Bartolomeo/Cavendish? Or something else?
Read the mangapanda version again this time - summary sounded pretty boring… and that was really boring. Was a whole chapter really necessary for this? I'm so sick of it. More pushing the cage and more crying. It was just a very uninteresting way to end it all.

We've had this kind of "oh now things will definitely happen" for the past 200 chapters. It's kind of starting to get to me.
Bah really? this is finally over and Oda just uses an entire chapter to drag this out, I'm assuming we are getting a break net week and he saved a cliffhanger for it.
