This is how Oda works, does a "Y" thing, then does a bunch of "X" thing until we forget about the "Y" thing and then brings back "Y"" thing and we all are like oohh yeaah there was also that.
Thing is we haven't forget about "Y" thing mostly because the other "X" things haven't been impressive enough(awakening, Burguess,the Teardelions, Gatz) this is pretty much de moment when Gamma knife will come back, right when the warriors are slowing down the BirdCage, Viola and Becc dont represent any obstacle for Doffy and Luffy/Law need something to stop Doula for a lil bit more.
The fact that Doffy said that his string stitching couldn't be considered as "healing" kinda hints that Gamma knife will fuck him up at the very end.

Basically the way strings or silk work in real life (string theory article explains this for doflamingo) is that it gives healing properties which can take up to years to perform
Once organs are destroyed, blood goes everywhere, acids and everything everywhere inside his body affecting other internal parts + gamma radiation poisoning.

He is kind of sleeping in this chapter. He didn't seem like he was going to block Burgess either.
can't recall his words on mangastream or on powermanga if its this far, but mangapark chapter titled gatz luffy words was this"i can move about but i don't know what he will do in ten minutes". Now luffy after rayleigh left should have had no allies. Luffy also said that what he needed was gear fourth to fight the monsters on that island he was. How did luffy survive helpless, when even with his gear 2 and 3 he was weaker than roughly 500 of them.

While in one we have an unbeatable foe which requires the energy of plenty of life beings to be defeatable, plus the harder way to hit with the technique. In the other, we have many worthless points of view trying to stay alive from a plot-armed device, only weaker than the hardest material in the universe about to chop any being inside, while all are waiting for the tired little protagonist to refuel his ambition tank and prepare his k.o combo.
The stupid thing is that stronger characters than this protagonist are also waiting to not die from this cage and provide time to this man… only to beat ONE person. In Dragon Ball, always the strongest goes for the strongest.

I love to take cheap shots at Oda however i'll cut him some stack. I'll say Mansharry is pretty busy with people who can't run from the birdcage like everyone else says
It seems to further support the likelihood that Mansherry is only intending her tears for the Dressrosian citizens. I would imagine she's going by what Kyros told her to do and save her tears "for those who really need it."
Also. Mansherry only heals physical wounds and pain, she does not produce/replenish Haki energy (which would be downright insane). Remember, the only reason Luffy is down is because he's "out of haki."
If it was just a question of replenishing energy, Luffy could just be taken to the local butcher's shop and eat a tray full of meat.
The real question is how does Mansherry possess enough liquid to heal (even temporarily) every other regular citizen in the country? Again, best to not delve to deeply there and just say "because her fruit is wierd like that." Well, that and OP characters never run out of tears…

Well you could say the same about Magellan or Mr. 3. Where is all this poison/wax coming from? Aren't they going to get dehydrated? Nope, because devil fruits are magic.
Just gave up discussing, since Adam is right in one thing. There is no evidence Dofla was weakened in any way since Oda didn't make it clear enough. It's up to reader's intrerpretation. I can't tell him he's wrong because I can't support it with evidence. Dofla isn't caughing blood or losing step or complaining about pain. Luffy has a slight momentum after Law and Trebol are out of the picture, but it's nothing especially threatening to Dofla. He's still able to avoid and block perfectly. Luffy starts making the difference only when he goes G4 which, arguably, might have happened even if Dofla didn't take GM.
Best to drop it, since it's a dead end discussion. Unless Dofla or Law say Gamma Knife fucked him up in one of following chapters.
EDIT: Also, with the awakening angle, there's no telling what the limits of Dofla's ability are. Maybe he can just regenerate organs with his awakened strings. If he can turn stuff into strings, maybe he can turn strings into stuff. This would be a level above clones, though.
Well I can argue that Doflamingo had never been seen going out at full strength. People gotta understand it's not just his organs. Its everything else that got affected. He probably doesn't have as much power in his attacks and is limiting himself.
One of the main reasons he's using awakening now is because it doesn't require much body movement at all.
Luffy himself said Law had done A LOT for Luffy in order to take him down.
The fact of the matter is, Luffy vs Dofla 1 on 1 all out, no distractions with both at 100%, Dofla would win.
Gear 4 was out of the roof, and yes it was powerful, but all Luffy got in was a hit Doflamingo didn't try to dodge. Confused the living crap out of him and then landed one more hit after.
What about Doflamingos string trap when Luffy charged with a Kong gun? Just an example. Or hell, even a spider web.

In regards to Galdino and Magellan, regular people don't produce either of the substances that they endlessly seem to call forth, so them producing them endlessly isn't really an issue, or equivalent to the whole Mansherry tear shtick.

One simple example is the birdcage stopping communication. There's actually a legitimate post accurately explaining how it works.
As Doflamingo said, simple first aid, then he can get medical attention. People gotta understand Doflamingo is applying first aid on his organs, but what about other parts inside his body after they blew up.

s really just arc fatigue. The arc has gone on so long that people become restless when they get a chapter like this where not that much happens. But I think this will be pretty effective once you can read the arc as a whole. **A chapter where everybody comes together to put their last strength into giving Luffy enough time to finish the main villain off.** Its really classic One Piece. Seriously, would you guys really rather see Doflamingo, one of the most build-up villains in the whole story, be defeated by random gladiators than by Luffy just to change things up? Yeah, I`m sure his beatdown would be much more effective and satisfying if it were delivered by Don Chinjao or something.

I interpreted it as her ability augments her tears with the ability to heal, not as the ability to endlessly produce healing tears.
Maybe that's just me though.

That is true but for some arcs or manga it don't make them that much better for me.
For eg FT but then again Mashima is monster who don't take breaks and can make 2 chapters a weak sometimes.

I don't think Zoro could defeat Doffy within the given timeframe no matter how wounded he appears to be, he would defeat him in a drawn out battle maybe, but time is of the essence here, unless he goes flying in with shi shi son son and surprise attacks Doffy, but we all know Zoro would consider that dishonorable

Why didn't he parasite Law or Luffy. And we know oda will not explain why Mingo doesn't use parasite on strawhats. Mingo seems to forget his best moves when against plot important people, like bullets against law and no parasite against strawhats.
