They don't want to reveal the Buster Call. Plus the World Government is pretty bad when it comes to cover ups. Oh and this belongs to the "Questions that don't deserve it's own thread" Oh and you just answered your own question

They covered up Crocodile because they couldn't admit someone had organized a war and taken over a country using their authority and protection.
Similarly, they didn't want to admit that Moria was alos beaten by one guy. It skews their image and the strength of the warlords if its publicly known that they're being beaten… by one guy.(And the coverup is exactly what Fujitora is trying to avoid right now with Doflamingo.)
The other difference is the Water 7 incident had a lot of witnesses. (Plus Spandam pinned the problems on Lucchi and his group being traitors... which the anime doesn't show.)
They also covered up the scale of the Impel Down breakup too... and jus tsort of wrote a lot of stuf foff as "the war was crazy, but hey, we killed Whitebeard and Ace!"

I forgot to mention the CP9 cover story, but I also forgot the mention the possibility that Spandam and the WG sorely underestimated that length the Straw Hats, Franky Family, and Galley-La foreman would go to rescue a friend (Robin), their leader (Franky), and avenge their boss (Iceburg) respectively. They probably assumed that with Robin's history of being betrayed by people she got close to they probably predicted the Straw Hats would follow the pattern, but never imagined they would raid their court house island, but also openly declare war against them as well.

I want to continue reading the One Piece Manga in colour and have been using KissManga but does anyone know a different site I can read them on where I can get a fullscreen of the pages as I am struggling to read the smaller writing and pick out details as I can't seem to enlarge the page at all on that particular site.
Edit: Oh wait I got inspired by remembering something and used CTRL + of course the image loses a little detail but I don't have to quint now.

I can't see Oda missing the opportunity to have Sanji at least use some pseudo-newkama kenpo.
He just loves torturing him too much.

The Viz translation is Bounce Man

Cuz if you look it up on the internet you'll get a bunch of BDSM stuff.

Spiderman vs Doflamingo?
Is that even a question?

I have a question on books. Yes Books.
What sort of material would have been used to make books in the world of One Piece? And does anyone have any idea of what sort of process would be used in making the book materials?
I mean would leather be an option for the bindings? Would they soak the leather in Urine for the tanning process? -
My guess is… paper.

-
I was just teasing.
Don't know, OP world seems to be very advanced when it comes to literature. There are books with colored printed covers, for crying out loud. It's a very specific question, without a good answer, since I don't remember it being covered in any part of the story.
Recently I undertook playing Planescape: Torment finally for the first time, and an old lady made me a spellbook with some old tree bark and sheets that were starched so many times that they became like paper.

I knew you were. It tickled :)
Thanks for replying. It's not a major thing for me I'm just writing something in the OP universe and a bit involves describing the smell and texture of a book. I get stuck on those little details. I'll just make it as I've written it, the book being leather bound as that gives me a bunch of scents to work with. Namely this:
The slight tang of sea salt, the ambience of Mikan, the faint sharpness of Lime, the perfume of Casa Blanca, a not entirely unpleasant hint of ammonia, a herbaceous sweetness and the rich smell of ink.
And yes some of those smells don't quite add up but they serve a purpose :D

If it wasn't for Dressrosa/Doflamingo ARC, where would everyone think the Strawhats would be and what doing?

I don't think we could really make a prediction for this.
Without Doffy, pretty much all the stuff that happened on Punk Hazard (that could actually lead the SH's in a specific direction afterward) wouldn't have come to pass.

Its just interesting to think about.
This Arc has had one of the most hyped up head honchos. It will be really interesting to see something completely new after this Arc. Something fresh and in the unknown.
-
I would like the Dressrosa arc to finish soon now. It might be because it's the first arc that I've got to wait weekly for updates but I just feel like this arc is dragging a bit too.
If the SH didn't go to Dressrosa afterwards that would make a massive game changer. They are there because of an alliance with Law. So obviously the first thing to go would be that alliance. Without said Alliance I don't think Luffy would be able to achieve his ultimate goal of being Pirate King.
Edit: Anyone got a clue how much everyone owes Nami? I know Zoro owes her a lot. He still hasn't paid her back the berri for Loguetown I think but that's all I can think of myself.

She forgave that debt for him saving Vivi at Whisky Peak.
As far as I recall, the only standing debts were for the 'happiness punch', but there could be others I'm not recalling.

Anyone got any fun ways to link up some of the SH?
I ask because I'm writing something and got me noticing how much Nami, Usopp and Robin have in common. They all have creative pursuits involving paper. Art, reading, design (map making)*
They all have some sort of interest in plant life. Robin loves her flowers, Nami has her Mikans and Usopp grows his own ammo. In fact they all have their own garden area on the Sunny.
They are the only three members to have left the SH and returned Usopp and Robin at Water 7 and Nami at Arlong Park
They are all ranged attackers. *
Their mothers all died in canon. Robin's mother at Ohara, Usopp's mother from illness and Nami's from being shot.*One or two other SH may also qualify here but I'm focusing on these three.
I'm trying to think what common connections some different groups have as well but I can't think of anyone else sharing that many similarities or pursuits. It's just something to ponder really.
-
Nope, that was the gold they got back from that swamp guy in fishman island.
I thought they gave them all the gold they had, including what was already on Sunny.

Almost everyone here is crazy about Monet and Vergo surviving but what about the Yeti Cool brothers?
What happened to them?? Were they poisoned by shinokuni or did they escape??
Maybe they rescue Monet and Vergo. -

Is it relevant if a relatively key character in an arc hasn't gotten an info-box introduction panel/page yet?
Can we assume Oda is saving their proper introduction for later?

I know that we have heard about void century and 800 and 900 years ago but my question is, is there an establish time line or date in the One Piece universe i don't remember there being one. Like what year is it really?

Sugar.
She is the only Donquixote Pirate who hasn't gotten an 'info-box' introduction yet.

I just find it odd that with all the introductions Oda has been doing in the Dressrosa Arc due to the high volume of new characters, that he didn't give Sugar, a relatively key player in the arc, an info-box introduction like the other characters.Does Oda intend to properly introduce her later?
Based on how some (if not all) of the Donquixote Pirates are using code names (Joker, the four seated officers, Buffalo and Baby 5) to identify themselves within the crew due to the crews dealing in the underworld, it seems reasonable to assume that "Sugar" isn't Sugar's real name. Oda may be intending to properly introduce Sugar when he is ready to reveal her real name.
It is also interesting that Monet had the most ambiguous/mysterious info-box introduction out of all the Donquixote Pirates, and unlike Vergo who received an additional info-panel detailing his role and position, Monet hasn't gotten any subsequent introductory panels introducing her as someone with a more defined role/position (beyond "Harpy"). Seeing as Vergo is using his real name when outside the crew, it seems likely that Monet is using her real name as well.
With Oda revealing that Monet and Sugar are sisters, I wonder if he plans to properly introduce Monet and Sugar at some point in the future (with Sugar's real name and potentially their last names).
When asked about Sugar's age in the volume 75 SBS, Oda stated that "so, there's more background to this, but in a nutshell if you think about all the present facts that I have to take into consideration, she's actually not that much of an old hag after all." One can infer from that comment that Oda already has the background for Sugar and Monet's past laid out and is just waiting for the right time to fully reveal it. Oda hinted to it in the volume 77 SBS but has yet to delve into their past in detail. Potentially, Monet and Sugar may have further relevance within the One Piece story.

This is really interesting. I never knew they were sisters.
Makes you wonder why Oda didn't reveal it in the actual manga yet. Like you said, they may have relevant roles in the future story but, why is it so important to not make it obvious that they were sisters?
And even though Monet not being dead wouldn't be a surprise, I hope that she actually is. Her death scene was kinda cool in my opinion ("cool", get it? Ok I'll stop) and should remain like that.

Do we know how Champion and Koala made it up there without crossing anyone's path?
-
OK most likely asked more than once… But did Luffy ever have learned the fact that Sogeking is Usopp. Usopp yelled it to him at the apologize... But do you think Luffy was aware of it even before at Merry's funeral? He actually said that Usopp isn't around... Which back than was actually stupid cuz he knew Usopp has jumped on board
