Because clearly EVERYONE wanted more Lightning.
Square included the Wii U and 3DS in their survey finally lol
Because clearly EVERYONE wanted more Lightning.
Hey they wanted to prove that Lightning does indeed strike the same place twice or thrice rather.
Fun tidbit about DragonballZ Xenoverse. They apparently actually put Team 4 Star's abridged Nappa voice in the game (male voice 8 apparently according to this vid)
skip to 7:54 to hear the in game voices
Octodad is coming to Xbox One this summer, with local co-op support along with the new DLC.
I finished Ori and the blind forest. Before playing I just saw the opening cinematic and it hardly shows what the game is really like. I was quite surprised to find out that this game is quite similar to a Metroid when it comes to gameplay and level design. Great game! And it's beautiful

I finished it too; it was fun but had a lot of problems and it definitely isn't the game they are trying to market or promise. I think I'm going to write my thoughts in the What Are You Playing thread.

Hey I forgot about this game
At least now that DNF is out and Prey 2 is canceled, if HL3 also comes out in the near future we still have TLG to make fun of.

Don't worry. Sony almost forgot, too.

And Kingdom Hearts 3, And the Final Fantasy VII Remake, And The PC port of Grand Theft Auto V:ninja:
HL3 coming out operates under the assumption that Valve remembers how to make video games.
turns out the Last Guardian is Half Life 3
And the Final Fantasy VII Remake
That's officially coming to the PS4.
They remade it exactly like it was.

This company are sick.
Don't know if this deserves a thread but:
I think a two minute trailer runs the course of the entire joke.
Also, Futurama already did it.
Also Adam Sandler is awful.
Also Adam Sandler is awful.
Yeah too bad Sandler can't take a page out of Mike Myers book and show up once every few years in a movie.
And apparently when I wasn't looking someone started development on a sequel to the 2009 Afro Samurai game starring…......Kuma:blink:?
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/03/19/kojima-reportedly-leaves-konami-konami-responds
This caught me off-guard.
Kojima's finally standing up for himself. He hasn't wanted to make MGS since 2 but they kept making him. The way he talks about V though, it seems he's always wanted to make a game like this though, so now that he has he can feel comfortable about leaving. I don't know if Konami will continue the MGS series after he leaves (or what will happen with the new Silent Hill game) but this is a good thing I think.
Edit: Assuming it's real. Still seems to be some confusion about what's happening.
lol if people still think that Kojima actually hates Metal Gear Solid and doesn't want to work on them
I should play another MGS
A long time ago I played Snake Eater on the PS2, still one of the most memorable gaming experiences I had
that game was crazy good. Are the other MGS titles close to that?

Kojima doesn't want to make more Metal Gear games his real love is for Boktai:ninja:.

MGS1 is incredibly iconic and for good reason, but if you've played any of the games after it, it's really stripped down. It has a Gamecube remake, Twin Snakes, which adds a bunch of improvements from MGS2 and has some of the best cutscene insanity in any video game.
MGS2…is a special game hat has an incredibly misleading first hour. Rest of the game is a fine improvement over MGS1. Story is absolutely bonkers.
MGS4 expands on what Snake Eater did, but feels a bit more...soulless than MGS3. The plot is also hilarious.
Peace Walker is a PSP game that takes a lot of cues from Monster Hunter (and even crosses over with Monster Hunter) and has more of a focus on building up a mercenary army than simple stealth.
MGS5 isn't out yet but seems to be a mix of all the things 3 and 4 did right plus a bunch of cool shit from Peace Walker. Its prologue/demo, Ground Zeroes, is out though and shows some incredibly promise even if it is lacking features.
I think the response to MGS2 broke Kojima.

"Anonymous source", but still. I'm glad that MGSV will be finished and put out but I wonder what's going to happen with the new Silent Hill game. And this must suck for people who were hoping for a new ZoE game too.
Also I wonder what'll happen with MGO3.
If it's konami kicking him out for some reason then it's really dumb, cause Kojima IS konami nowadays. And I kinda don't wanna see konami making mgs games and potentially ruin the franchise silent hill style or like capcom did with resident evil. But that probably means kojima creating new ips.^^ Will be a bummer though if silent hills will get canned or possibly being not the game we would have gotten with kojima being involved.

What Cyan said and you can also try the original Metal gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake . Both are excellent action / adventure games imo though they are dated .

Not truly comparable especially if Resident 6 is all we're going by.

Well he's officially considered a contractor so he could conceivably still work on the game despite no longer being a Konami employee…...and after the "Lords of Shadow 2" debacle Konami would be wise not to fuck this up.
Well he is basically closing all story gaps with phantom pain, and the game seems to shape up possibly the best in the series. So I would be totally fine him never do a mgs game again and focusing on new ips. Konami, as they already annonced, will continue the Metal Gear series. Possibly reboot, do new characters, who knows, but I won't take those games seriously anytime soon or be excited for them. Sure I will probably check them out, but Kojima is the one who made the mgs games what they are, and Konami won't capture that. And if they run the series into the ground, so be it. We will still have our core finished kojima series.^^
The only lesson I take away from this is Konami should fire their PR department.
The way this is handled is insanely dumb.

Thank you and Cyan for the quick info
I thought about starting with the first MGS, since I'm the kind of person who likes to start as early as possible, but not to stocked about that after seeing the AVGN of the NES title, lol. It's kinda like with Mother 1 or the first two Metroids, just smarter to start Super Metroid and Earthbound instead of the NES titles who are very dated
But MGS1 sounds good, since it's the first of the three dimensional MG titles (at least I think so?) which would be an interesting thing to judge compared to the future titles

It was just a distraction.

If you do play MG1 and MG2 make sure you play the MSX versions and not the NES versions. The first game on the NES is a pretty poor port and quite a bit of stuff was removed. The second game on the NES is an entirely different game than the second game on the MSX. If you have a PS3 you should get the Legacy Collection. It comes with 1 (as a download), 2, 3 (which includes MG1 and MG2, the MSX versions), Peacewalker, and 4.
Twitch apparently had a breach so be advised

You guys should totally share, support and love this mexican game based on raramuri mythology (Don't have time to write more tho but the link is pretty self-explanatory).
@Cyan:
Can they help me get my shit back too?, think I lost it watching that video.
I'm a big fan of Monkey Island and Sam&Max. Do you think I will like Deponia ?
DirectX 12 is shaping itself to be a big improvement over 11.
Vulkan is better if just for the fact that it works on everything and not just Windows, even if it's exactly the same otherwise. I think Vulkan is supposed to be more efficient than DX12 though. DirectX is going to be used more again though, just like it was used more than OpenGL, which is sad.
Really sad that I'm not part of Level 5 audience anymore. Maybe they'll come back but what they showed this year on their vision thing was really disappointing.
