@DonPatch:
You're right that the warlords should be formidable and I agree Law's move at the end there didn't seem to be too straining. The thing that bothers most is that it was stated multiple times that Law was really low on stamina. I agree it was stretching it, but he is so popular that I could see the goal there was to redeem him and give him a bit more panel time.
Well, it depends how long that whole attack was time-wise. In-world it shouldn't have been any longer than 10-15 seconds, if at that. It could have been 2-5 seconds. Point being it didn't look too strenuous or too long.
I don't know if his popularity plays into it honestly, I think it has more to do with someone had to take Trebol out of the equation for the main fight to go on mano y mano, and Law was the only viable option other than Luffy. As we saw, Luffy was trapped in the snot and he didn't know how to get out, or at least he could have but Doflamingo isn't just going to wait for that to happen, he'd throw in some cheap shots while Luffy is defenseless.
@DonPatch:
I like that he mentioned his crew and that he can't let them down. It did two things for me: 1) It was nice to see Law acting as a captain without his personal agenda in mind and 2) It showed us Law won't die and he will reunite with his crew. I like this because I've wanted to see more of how he interacts with his crew and see their characters expanded upon.
Yeah I liked how he mentioned his crew too, I look forward to their interactions and if there are any new members in their crew.
Something I'm not clear on though is what are the Heart Pirates going to do after Dressrosa? I know they're all gonna be involved in Zou and Wano (I think?)…so are they going to be with the Strawhats until Kaido is taken down? I fear that's too much, I'd prefer if the focus is on Strawhats rather than them sharing panel time with the Hearts. If they do end up along for the ride, well, I can't complain too much about it. I'll have to shift my mentality from fleshing out the Strawhats to fleshing out the series, so to speak. I'm alright with that too.
