Yes, he said something like that, but he can add whatever he wants to his work, and he's "somehow" taking a short route now doesn't mean that he won't add what HE WANTS TO HIS WORK, it just mean that he will move the plot faster and will shorten/off panel useless stuff.

Hey, you can go and search for whatever you think will help your case, I mean an author cannot say 'Surprise modafucka' because he already expended a few panels on a "plot" that his readers expect it to follow that thin straight line that separates good and bad.

And it makes sense, the all blue strikes me also as a Chef´s dream and we don´t see a lot of chefs in One piece barring Baratie.
I guess the general thought goes along the following lines…The legendary Island where one piece is with all the treasures fame and fortune of the world I REALLY NEED AND WANT THAT AS A PIRATE as oppose to the sea where all fish live together I REALLY NEED AND WANT THAT AS A....chef, marine biologist, fish lover, merman whatever. I´m actually surprised that we haven´t had one single merfolk who has mentioned such a place, it should be a paradise to them.

Conservation of detail. Bomb, tea party, time, etc. all lead to a certain conclusion if you put them all together.
Of course, it doesn't mean a twist can't happen, but you can't really prove that a twist can happen because then it wouldn't be a twist.

Wait is it confirmed that Sugar can't remember the people she turns into toys?
Even if she can't he would obviously have a pre arranged plan with her on how to deal with it. Adventures of Sugar and her toy cover story as he bids his time and start plotting again.

As said, it's a holiday break. They tend to take a break a couple weeks before Christmas/New Years, then have a week on, then have a couple of weeks off. Tomorrow should be the end of the couple weeks off - I hope anyway, because this wait is BRUTAL.
