Metal Bat is super strong, huh? Maybe a Kuwabara-type.
Zombieman is obviously the coolest S-class. That scene where he comes out of the rubble and grabs Homeless Emperor is just awesome

Damnit, I won't read it again untill Murata draws it.
I wonder if One, after OPM and psycho pass ends, will become a regular author, he's neat.
Was there an explanation for Sweet Mask's change of appearance? Maybe it's just his clothing, but aside from his obvious hair color change, he looked totally different to me in the recent chapters. Or are the chapters just so far apart I am forgetting or overlooking something?
Can´t say i´m much surprised by some of those.
The ones concerning Sonic seem rather obvious.
And Zombieman seems a bit like Hidan was in Naruto. The real edge he had over others was his imortality. He was rather average in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. Even his death ritual was dependent on how long Kakuzu could hold his opponents.
I feel the same about Zombieman. He doesn´t seem extremely strong or fast. Maybe he´s a decent weapon user, but we haven´t seen a lot of that.
The shocking one is Metalbat´s. How strong is that dude? I guess he could pummel Black Sperm to death, which would obviously work better than slicing him. Now i want to see more of him.
Next WatchDogMan is capable of handling Garou on his own.

Maybe he was shocked by his encounter with Saitama and is trying to look more powerful instead of beautiful.
Metal Bat really affecting the outcome of the Monster Association fight doesn't surprise me; most of the monsters there were vulnerable to being smashed rather than cut with the people who specialized in melee fighting being mostly sidelined for one reason or another.
@Purple:
And yeah, Mob probably eats up his time (as well as is the main money maker).
Just to nitpick, there's no way he's generating more income from Mob than OPM. More consistent paycheck, sure.
But considering how amazing OPM tank sales are, even if he gets less than half the cut, it'd be way more income than MP100.
The main reason for Mob taking up his time is, it has a set deadline with Shogakukan.
It's an actual job with a publisher, instead of a web comic on his own page, after all.

I think PH was referring to OPM as the main moneymaker.
Shame that ONE spends time working on Mob Psycho
Didn't even realize those words could be put together to form a sentence like that

Nah Aohige talking about the paycheck is what I'm talking about, because that consistent paycheck on a regular basis requires his work on Mob more than OPM. Like OPM is def bringing in the most bank, but Murata's the one doing all the redraws so it's not like ONE needs to be all over the story there, vs Mob and how he's being published in that mag.

I know, right?

Woops. Thought you meant that "Mob as well as OPM (the main moneymaker)" take a lot of effort and time etc.
Also I'm not sure about the scheduling but did the long breaks for OPM start before Mob came out? Like did he ease up on OPM out of contractual obligation to Mob, or did ONE just get tired of working on OPM for a bit.
Murata is the MVP there, no doubt.
OPM has sold over 2.6 million copies as of last month, they are banking in yen.
Murata was the one that rigorously sought out to publish OPM, I imagine he brought ONE more wealth than he could ever imagine.
All that talk of genos being really strong gave me a chuckle
All that talk of genos being really strong gave me a chuckle
Genos is actually pretty god damn strong, could be in top 10 easily. Its just that he always gets compared to Saitama who is in whole different dimension than entire rest of Hero assocication together.

Top fifteen? for sure. Top ten? Not so sure.
Nah I can definitely see top ten. He's definitely stronger than Zombieman, and you could probably make a case for being stronger than Pig God, maybe even Child Emperor. King might be difficult to beat, though.
It's just that he's the token character to get completely wrecked every arc in some fashion, but he definitely has the fire power and strength
The more screen time you* have, the more wrecked you get.
** You are not King.
(checks that this is the original series thread)
And everyone gets wrecked vs the monster association.

Add Pri Pri and Tank Top Master to that list.

Except Metal Bat. He could probably solo all of them.
It remains yet to be seen Watchdogman's true skill too
Watchdogman is the only other character to share Saitama's bored out of their mind expression.
That makes it obvious he is the strongest S Class hero we have seen so far.

Kinda doubt he's stronger than Tatsumaki, but it's possible I guess.
Ghhh power levels..
We can't be sure of their power, both number one and watchdog only have their rank and a pile of monsters as evidence of power
Arguing power levels in One Punch Man is like arguing for which light bulb is brightest while on the surface of the sun. Still fun though!
Let me derail the conversation with a relevant question for you guys: what is going to happen when Saitama and Tatsumaki meet? Will they actually fight? If they do will Saitama actually hit Tatsumaki (like the mosquito girl near the beginning I imagine) or just yell at her for being a bad hero? And most importantly where will the Hero Society build it's new compound after the Tornado of Terror wrecks this one if she actually goes all out?
Well I mean, he's not going to just let Tatsumaki psychically strangle Psykos, and more than likely the "battle" is gonna be kinda comical.
Maybe a Serious Series move
I think the battle would be verbal for the most part. If Saitama didnt knocked down Sweet Mask back then I dont see why he should pick a fight with Tatsumaki.
Saitama is even soft on Sonic and he thinks Tatsumaki is a little brat instead of an adult so…
Something like Saitama feeling a little breeze when Tatsumaki unleashes her most powerful attack would be funny.
A stupid theory: Sweet Mask is actually Tacchan (the kid that bullied Garou).
I don't know if this was mentioned before, but when I was rereading some chapters I noticed Sweet Mask has a "Time to conduct Justice" quote, which is counter to Garou's, "Time to conduct Evil" quote
The time has come at last.

All I can say is
Dayum~

Somehow not what I imagined. I think she should look worse than some beautiful mob queen. Maybe I'm just used to ONE's art but I think those scribbles show off her role as second-to-Tatsumaki better than this. Murata's version looks like some really successful gang leader. Seriously if I compared Murata's Fukibi and Tatsumaki side by side it'd look like Fukibi was the more important and stronger character.

Well she's actually a successful gang leader, her group is pretty known among B class heroes. And this isn't the first time we see Murata's Fubuki, it was already known what she'd look like.

To be fair i'm pretty sure that's the impression Fubuki would want to give people.
@Purple:
Tatsumaki vs Saitama you mean?
And yeah, Mob probably eats up his time (as well as is the main money maker). I'd imagine that handling one series with the caliber that ONE brings is hard enough, but figuring out the direction of two series is probably a monstrous feat
Yeah, dur, I'm an idiot. I'll blame the excitement and having just seen Fubuki for the blunder.
Seriously if I compared Murata's Fukibi and Tatsumaki side by side it'd look like Fukibi was the more important and stronger character.
That's pretty much the entire point of those designs though.
People seriously have a problem with her design? It's absolutely perfect. She looks like she should have - like a strong and important character, it makes her later reveal all the more funny/tragic.
That's pretty much the entire point of those designs though.
Well, her introduction went downhill so fast that I pretty much only see her as a joke character a la Genos. I'd just prefer her image to reflect that accurately and ONE's art is pretty ambiguous in that regard. Murata's detailed art doesn't leave much to imagination.
I'm not hating on the design, it's just not what I personally think is fitting.
Ubiq, Sauza, and Mizrath are arguing her in-story characteristics whereas you are focusing more on the reader's perception of her character. Her image (design) is meant to be a reflection of her personality. To that end Murata's design must be perfect given your own evaluation, as Mizrath points out, is how she sees herself. Check out chapter 77 where she brags internally that she developed skill to overcome her sister's power, not realizing that her sister not only had the same skill since birth but improved upon it. In the same chapter she recalls Psykos's past and when recalling the plan to kill all humans all she (Fubuki) was concerned about was no longer having 'losers' that she could rule over. She very much sees herself as superior to others, and within the OPM world she is a very successful gang leader with a strong reputation, so her design fits. No?
I hope we can get to see more of Enginite(very cool design), and Metal Bat(who is rumored to be stronger than what people think).
And when will be the day Genos doesnt hit the ground?
Well there was that moment (forget which arc) he came to the conclusion that raw power and changes to his body were limitations to his growth. Right? It's totally escaping me right now.
Then how is he gonna defeat the cyborg that destroyed his town? (If the Cyborg is at least Boros-Garou tier)?
Boros and Garou are easily God level disasters, so it's incredibly unlikely that the cyborg is going to be anywhere close to that. Dragon level, sure, but definitely not planet level threatening.
I wonder if Garou was as strong as Boros, on pure muscular strenght Garou was probably strongest but Boros had those planet buster moves that would make him a bonafide God level threat.
Yeah, Boros had a legit planet threatening species threatening technique, but I vaguely recall someone mentioning earlier in this thread that ONE said that Garou and Boros are roughly in the same strength.
But shouldn't God level threat be exclusively reserved for, you know, God? Who's been implied to be the final boss?
I hope he's levels above Garou/Boros. Maybe someone who'll give Saitama a slight tiny bit of trouble?

Well there is a saying that there always is somebody stronger.. and One likes sayings.. just saying
I personally just judge a monster's power by how many hits they can take from Saitama, and from that Garou's far above Boros which means he could easily take Boros' ultimate attack (did Saitama use serious moves on Boros ?)

God level means that a monster can threaten the whole humanity iirc
Now we will see if Tatsumakis barrier can withstand Saitamas punch.
And Saitaima did use a serious move on Boros…
Yes, God level means something that can wipe all mankind judgment day style. Not necesarily a deity.
But shouldn't God level threat be exclusively reserved for, you know, God? Who's been implied to be the final boss?

As others have mentioned, all the tiers are based on the amount of destruction the monster can cause, with God level disasters being potential threats to humanity, and Boros def fits the bill with an attack that could destroy the planet.
But yeah we can probably expect this god entity to be the huge disaster that was prophesized by that lady and the huge threat that Psykos saw with her third eye, or something.

While probably true, I'd imagine that Garou continuously requesting for more power from that god entity helped out a bit. I also don't really recall Boros really taking on too much damage until he started using 100% of his power.
Shit, I forgot about that glasses guy from chapter 22.7 side chapter, I think he might become Saitamas rival once he comes back…
