I do not, those are in fact solid convictions.
Thanks mate, Sanji being my favourite Mugiwara, expecting a lot more.
Chapter 768: That trigger on that day

Funny to see that (awesome) gif still hold some relevance at this point.
I miss your 2cents.

What's the problem with Robin NOT having a fight?! She isn't one of the top fighters from the SH anyways. I would rather see her finding Mansherry or do something of a tactical move than just fight like others. The whole point of the SH crew having diverse personalities is to not let all of them fight every time.
-
@Fire Fist:
To be fair, it had already gone on for a while and he already had another fight toward the end of the last arc against the DD Family. In fact, if we're keeping score, Franky has fought more of the DD family than anyone except Luffy, Rebecca, and Law.
I thought Rebecca has only fought Diamanté? Kyros, though, has fought Lao G and Gladius as toy soldier, and Doffy, Buffalo, and Diamanté as himself.

Half of this is because she had one fight all those years ago. Frankly, I would rather see Robin fight than Zoro slicing things for 500th time.
Other half is because he just had "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" moment which usually starts the fight….and then ran up the stairs. -

Considering last (and only) time Robin fought it wouldn't really be all the time.

Nice chapter. Senor Pink a real man, and Law finally hit Doflamingo.
Oh yeah, Robin useless as always. -

Yeah, I realized I probably meant Kyros after I wrote that.

FranKy:Horny man, fat man, let's baby, Baby 5 and Helicopter
Law:Doffly, Mucus, Vergo.
Luffy:Doffly,Pica?, Fatman?,Bellamy?ANyway Franky fought more of them I think.

While Sabo is there helping the citizens, Fuji is just there aitting on his ass lol
Wonder where's Darth?
He commented two pages before that one. I almost feel like laughing when watching Fuji now. He should grab some popcorn to enjoy the show more comfortably. I wonder what his next cryptics word are gonna be.
@Hamburger:
Interesting; I forgot that!
He missed a sword and didn't count the fight since he wasn't fighting the real Ryumaa. I think Kaku's comment about him putting the bandana isn't just for show.
-
I don't like Cabbage vs Gladius but I guess he needs a warm up before Hakubin Trébol. Or Barto is still there anyways they can just switch places.
-
@uniaka:
I wonder what Oda's plan for Burgess is. Since it looks like Law can handle Doflamingo, could Oda make burgess show up and have a fight with luffy? ( and ofc someone else handles trebol….like cavendish)
I think that Burgess might be using chaos at this moment and he is on search for Doflamingos crew treasures- Devil Fruits, Gold and stuff.
Or he might be waiting for fights to end to drag one of stronger beaten enemies to his captain for execution and taking fruit away.
-
Even if the ending isn't quite as solid as we'd like it to be, this arc has already had more than enough good points to put it at least between good and great, in my opinion.
On top of that, we've still got Luffy's first serious test post-timeskip coming up, against a one of the best villains in the entire series, Oda won't make that anything less than great.
As much as I believe in Oda, even he could possibly do the whole "last part is so bad, the parts before doesn't help it". Probably won't happen, but I can't say Oda is not capable of it.
You actually mention my main problem, which is Doflamingo, and also the family. I think the flashback and this chapter combined has shown that the outcome for these villains might not be as good as it could be. For the family, we got to see them and get a bit more attached to them via the flashback. With how things are going, with Viola saying the fights are almost over, the members won't get the attention they deserve. It's even harder when there are so many of them to deal with. It seems you would need at least a chapter with each of them to even hope to give them the attention they deserve. If the flashback didn't focus on them and the whole family dynamic, I wouldn't have had as much as a problem. However, by putting it in the spotlight, I feel that it really needs to shine in the present part as well.
Doflamingo, while an interesting villain, is placed in a bad spot. He is basically the last major Shikibukai that the strawhats will face before going on to the next levels. We already have been getting glimpses of what to expect, and Doflamingo came in to late. The fight is interesting, but with the Yonkou on the horizon, as well as other more powerful crews, Doflamingo just doesn't have the presence that he could've had.
@Hamburger:
Robin seems like a difficult character to even _write_ fights for, come to think of it; she has kind of an "all or nothing" power, where she either wins instantly or is completely ineffective.
Her abilities could be executed interestingly in fights, but she has mostly been more of snooping around gathering intel, which her powers allow to do easily. It does seem that Oda wanted to do more with her, but can't figure out how.
-
Really there isn't much logic. The monster trio can stop Oz attacks with raw strength. And kill any fishes. But I hardly see them pulling this out of the water.
Or carrying a marine ship
I'm not complaining though.I consider it the difference between a boxer and a Weightlifter. I doubt the latter as punch as strong as the first or that a boxer can lift as much.
As for going against Oars brute strength only Sanji did for slighty deflecting the punch about to crush Robin(And nightmare Luffy but I think we can't doubt his strength).

Hi every one
I am not person who like talk on the forums but i want to point something.
If i am not wrong in this panel here is one of CP-0 members watching from distance -
So, the sky island is falling again? So Eneru is back with the rabbit army??
-
DD's crew is kicking some butt, but DD will still suck Law's D! I want a king's punch on DD's face though!
-
Robin's "fighting ability" can be just good enough so that she doesn't die in a battle. It's like teaching an archer how to use a sword so that he doesn't get killed in close combat. She has knowledge which she can use to pursue her goals which is to help her crew. She can stand her own and fight against people who are at her level but it's seriously not a mandatory thing if you have someone who is a fighter who can take up that role and she can do something better. We have to wait and see what has been planned for her.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh and why are people overrating King's punch again?!
-
So, the sky island is falling again? So Eneru is back with the rabbit army??
It would be great if those offerings would have been taken away by Eneru - it would make sense for him to be seeing himself as somebody who has right to take offerings
Maybe Oda wants to introduce us - to explain to us what was that here
!
Or maybe this and Enel is connected.
-
why is the Senor Pink vs Franky fight STILL going on? Its like a never ending fight…..

This chapter proved to us that Law is stronger than Luffy.

Haha, that gif is hilarious! XD
But yeah, I'll even settle with her fighting Trebol at this point. :(
-
I'm confused why Law couldn't cut Doflamingo in half or something to that affect
-
I'm confused why Law couldn't cut Doflamingo in half or something to that affect
DoDo have intel on Law's DF. he know how his power works, so he stays out of Law's range as Trebol said. but in the last chapter, he made DD angry and he let his gard-down. Or simply PIS/CIS.
-
I'm confused why Law couldn't cut Doflamingo in half or something to that affect
He probably doesnt even try as Doflamingo might reform himslef together with strings.
And by range of power Trebol probably means more likely range of Laws sword, maybe Laws ability is at its strongest while making direct contact with other person and gets weaker with distance getting greater.
This chapter proved to us that Law is stronger than Luffy.
For all that we know Doflamingo warned Vergo during Punk Hazard arc to watch out for Luffy because he has Kings Haki and might be even stronger/ have bigger potential than Law.
Laws power is just very well suited for fighting Doflamingo - teleports, additional sword abilities etc
Law is tricky to fight but I am sure that physically he is far inferior to what Luffy is now capable of as Law seems to be concentrating mostly on his Devil Fruit powers, secondary on swordsmanship and haki as it seems. All in all Luffy most likely is "leader" of Supernovas when it comes to fighting powers and especially willpower as he is now. His training with Rayleigh was set to give Luffy edge of information when it comes to combat- he knows about haki all that there is to it and now in time he is working on control over his abilities and new ways of using them.
Also Law has incredibly strong motivation to fight compared to Luffy at this moment and in One Piece motivation of character is big part of his/ hers fighting power.
Law beaten at least 100 pirates, Kidd had pretty terrible experiences looking at his scars and Drake seems to be commander of Kaido or one of his top men at the moment- all are strong but with Luffy being set to become Pirate King I can see Law and Kidd being around equals to Luffy at best with Luffy having greater willpower than them.
Also is it me or Law is sticking out his tongue a bit here? Looks weird for a normal smile for him.
!

and no.
Compare that image to the cover page=
When Bege's ship was pulled upwards, the water around it was not taken as well, it dripped off just like if you picked up a toy boat out of a tub. But on the cover, there is a spout of water falling … along with the house AND the dogfish from a previous cover. In fact if we go to ch 757, we see the dogfish's house...
…which has same shape as the house that's falling in 768, add in the dogfish... its his house that's falling.
So it's not from Enel and doubtful its same what was done to Bege since there was no column of water taken with Bege. -
About robin…
Luffy has fell from the roof where the fight is going, so robing might go support him and bring him back to the roof, plus there is a conversation on the island about the family of D and celestial dragons, so Oda is definitely going to have robin part of that conversation. -
There is the new 7th shichibukai.
I got a feeling that is Vegapunk with his army of Pacifistas. -
The arc or either Doulas story isn't even over yet. Stop acting so angry or did you not follow the plot where Fujitora was shown comprehending that it's not the Marine's place to bring order to the the problem of Doflamingo?
That is the most idiotic reason for not interfering and you know it. He says he will follow the will of the people, only the people are citizens of Dressrosa. The most fickle, lacking will public we ever had in One Piece. For crying out loud, they followed orders of Doflamingo to the letter, only to immediatly stop following them for no reason, and demand orders from Riku! In this chapter, they express disbelief at the country's fate being in the hands of pirate. This isn't rocket science, Fujitora's reasoning is outright wrong, which should be obvious to anyone who followed his line of reasoning and corresponding events of the arc.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I really think you're overestimating the supposed Fujitora vs. Doulamongo confrontation as a present event. Fujitora himself stated that he would deal with him at a later date.
"I will let you kill all those people, no biggie."
He said he will deal with Luffy and with him afterwards. That is not to say, half year from now. He is confrontational towards him on every occasion they speak.
And I despise the fact that his moral rules, that he supposedly posses, being presented that way for a while and all, are being suspended on bad and lacking in strength reasoning.
-
You hate Fujitora don't you? he's a conflicting character indeed but you can't really blame him, the majority of the marines in one piece were shown useless for some reason.
-
There is the new 7th shichibukai.
I got a feeling that is Vegapunk with his army of Pacifistas.Well it's not.
It's an unknown pirate that cut of Zephyr's arm. Look it up.
-
Fuji is the most idiotic person in OP.
-

Hate may be too strong a word as far as I'm concerned, but I share the disappointment. Fuji went overnight from "powerhouse with convictions and an interesting agenda" to "why should I even protect anyone? Let's just sit and watch". Was there even a use for him showing up so far, other than to provide eye candy meteors?
-
Kinda frustrating that Jora/Jola/Giolla wasn't on that Doflamingo spread. Her name's romanization is the one I'm most curious about.
Overall, okay chapter. Way too much going on though.
could it be "Joya"? That's spanish for "jewel". just saying!
-

I don't hate Fujitora. Before Birdcage went up, I named him my favorite character introduced post-timeskip, and I stand by that opinion. No, what I hate is what Oda is doing to that character, which is currently run him into the ground. The only meta reason to for him not to act would be to preserve tension, but since we don't have any tension to begin with, it is bloody pointless and ruining good character.

This chapter proved to us that Law is stronger than Luffy.
No it didn't. At best it gives people an argument.

Luffy was in better condition than Law and he got pwned by DD 2 times. Law in the other hand, is doing a great job with a low stamina.

Oh. Ok, now it makes sense.
What is your estimate on Law and Luffy's Douriki?
-
Oh. Ok, now it makes sense.
What is your estimate on Law and Luffy's Douriki?
Douriki is the physical power of someone. no?
Luffy should be stronger than Law in term of raw power.
But overall, Law is stronger due to his OP fruit. -
Fuji should have been caught OUTSIDE the birdcage so he had a reason to do nothing.
-
I was re-reading the chapter on MangaStream today when the Baby 5 v. Sai panel caught my attention (yet again). I was trynna figure out what Sai could've said to make Baby 5 stop in the middle of a fight. We know Baby 5's personality and how she can't say no to anything anyone asks of her. This got me thinking, wouldn't it be crazy if Sai had proposed to her or something in the middle of the battlefield
#CrackpotTheory -
Douriki is the physical power of someone. no?
Luffy should be stronger than Law in term of raw power.
But overall, Law is stronger due to his OP fruit.I was joking. Yes, Law's ability gives him a certain edge over anyone, but we knew as much even before this chapter. I imagine Luffy would have a better chance at fighting Law than many others, due to his stretching ability.
Also, Dofla used Bellamy to take advantage of Luffy in the second situation.
Ultimately, it all depends on the author. How he sets things up is important. Luffy will probably return to the fight later and then show feats which will make people say Luffy is stronger than Law after all.
-
Fuji should have been caught OUTSIDE the birdcage so he had a reason to do nothing.
Now, this was a fine way to take him out of the action, instead of having him sit there, quietly looking intense.
But, who knows. Perhaps Oda has some brilliant plan that totaly requires Fuji to be present. That would have been nice.
-
What is your estimate on Law and Luffy's Douriki?
Pardon my ignorance, but how seriously are doriki/power levels taken on these forums? :wassat: I always thought Oda introduced it in the story to show how such measurements can be unreliable.
-

Like I said, I was just joking.
Doubt there's anyone who takes them seriously.
It was a good thing Oda didn't keep them in the story for long.
-

totally not seriously,relax
-
Pardon my ignorance, but how seriously are doriki/power levels taken on these forums? :wassat:
Not seriously at all. And it's a good thing Oda didn't use them past Enies Lobby, because every future fight discussion would turn into "well X's douriki has to be stronger than Y's!".
…..wait, isn't that still done with haki?
