Probably not for another decade. Just gotta stay alive till then.
Who is the final villain in One Piece? 2.0

why am i not able to vote? :(

Dogs of the WG, if I may. They lost what pirates had more valuable, freedom you see in luffy and BB.
The lost dogs .
-
sorry off topic,
Hi, I'm new here and has been a OP fan for so long back.
Has anyone saw the intro theme that luffy was fighting akainu? Any guesses when will that come. There will probably be a fight between them later in the series (much much later). For now, whatever you saw in the intro is just for fanservice.

Wars can have more than two armies involved.
Particularly on a global scale.
one army carrying out two conflicts with too many goals , the war goes from fighting for the old history (whatever that may be) and nations' freedom with the WG directly involved to " by the way let's take revenge over shanks' death , fight for the PK title and save the world from chaos from the BB crew" !!
the way oda designed the BB crew to match the strawhats in number and skills foreshadows a perfect set up between the two entities , they will have their own war .. unless you want a final fight between two exhausted armies i can't see it happening all at once
-
one army carrying out two conflicts with too many goals ,
Happens all the time. Successfully even.
Also wars can be carried out over long periods of time where the focus of the war changes, sides can be defeated midway, strengths can be gained and lost by certain sides, betrayals can occur, new alliances…the war goes from fighting for the old history (whatever that may be) and nations' freedom with the WG directly involved to " by the way let's take revenge over shanks' death , fight for the PK title and save the world from chaos from the BB crew" !!
How many times have people banged it into this thread's head that Blackbeard is directly involved in the Ancient Secrets storyline.
How you can imagine them as somehow separate things when even you yourself are describing as BB as a threat to the world is completely beyond me.the way oda designed the BB crew to match the strawhats in number and skills foreshadows a perfect set up between the two entities , they will have their own war .. unless you want a final fight between two exhausted armies i can't see it happening all at once
Why are you assuming it would happened at once??

Another reason why I can't see BB as final villain is that he's too wierd and funny for the main villain, his crew looks that way too. I would place him in the same team with buggy and caribou, except he is more important and stronger.
-

wow i cannot believe that this person with strange bad opinions on the one piece manga is actually of the mindset of a bleach fan, this cannot possibly be connected at all to his wild inability to understand either what is going on or is possibly going to go on in this comic book!
-

I can't take seriously a main character who is not a genius but prefer to be goofying around 90% of the time

Face it, this is pretty much your only reason.

@Monkey:

How you can imagine them as somehow separate things when even you yourself are describing as BB as a threat to the world is completely beyond mein what way BB being a threat to the world relates to him supposedly being "directly" involved in the ancient secrets storyline ?
the dude has the power to destroy the earth in one hand and the power to swallow any form of matter in the other and embraces dangerous beliefs of world's chaos ! ofcourse he's a threat to the world , he doesn't even need an ancient weapon and i doubt that it would provide any more help than what he already hasand i still don't get how is teach directly involved in the ancient secrets , he doesn't even know about the ancient history and he's not the only D in the series
!
as far as we know the people directly involved are the man who'll challenge the world who's obviously not BB , and the gorosei (WG) as they're the ones who are trying to hide these secrets and the ones afraid of this coming warWhy are you assuming it would happened at once??
lol because you and hosemisnuba denied me saying this in the previous page
and some of the scenarios i read in here suggested so
you for once suggested that luffy'd be fighting BB on one front while the rest of his allies fighting the WG on anotheri feel like this argument is starting to repeat itself so i'll just stop here for a while

in what way BB being a threat to the world relates to him supposedly being "directly" involved in the ancient secrets storyline ?
Blackbeards is the only 'evil' D. we know in the series thus far. Unlike other Ds he is a coward and he doesn't smile when faced with death. As the only living D with these features, its safe to say he is a descendant of some 'evil' part of the D. Clan, and that evil part of the clan has to have some history. Therefore, its easy for someone to say Blackbeard isn't just some D., like Law or Ace, but a D. with very crucial part of the D's backstory.
the dude has the power to destroy the earth in one hand and the power to swallow any form of matter in the other and embraces dangerous beliefs of world's chaos ! ofcourse he's a threat to the world , he doesn't even need an ancient weapon and i doubt that it would provide any more help than what he already has

What are you implying here. That Luffy is going to take down all four yonkou before becoming pirate king. To me, it implies nothing of that sort.

Taking down yonkous is part of the road to pirate king title. We don't even know if yonkous exist once there will be a pirate king, since they would have no point. And I don't see why the pirate king would still plan to take down inferior pirates.
The point of villains is that they are superior to luffy untill he faces them. Luffy was the underdog, underestimated, not the other way around.

This has already been debunked by Monkey King. Roger did not become pirate king when he took down the Yonkou (they didn't exist at that time). He became pirate king when he reached Raftel. Furthermore, as has already been stated, Blackbeard is a special case amongst the Yonkou.
The point of villains is that they are superior to luffy untill he faces them. Luffy was the underdog, underestimated, not the other way around.
All I have to say to this is bl argh. You're the guy who doesn't want Blackbeard to be the final villain, because you think he's not 'cool' enough. Why should I respect you're arguments. Anyways, this doesn't make sense in context.
-
This has been your daily reminder that the Four Emperors are not really official, set-in-stone things and are just a term the Elder Stars use to refer to the four strongest pirates in the world after Roger died.
-
So I'm guessing if Blackbeard looked like the Terminator but acted like Big Bird, he'd suddenly become a worthy final villain? I mean, he's too fat to be taken seriously despite plunging the world into an era of chaos so…

this is by far the greatest thread to be reading, an endless source of entertainment

Wow so it's impossible for the Yonkou to do themselves huh? Tricky quest that.
We don't even know if yonkous exist once there will be a pirate king
Considering they're a concept and not an organization it really doesn't fucking matter.

You're too used to have abs super atractive dudes as final villains, but this is One Piece you kno', his appareance is no valid argument. Besides he's the most pirate looking like in the whole series, so why not figthing someone who actually looks like a pirate in a series that is about pirates?

Even then, luffy managed to do what he was there for, free ace and stop his execution. The only way he would be able to save ace even from Akainu was to beat him. But you can't beat your final enemy when you're not even half way in the story.
Also, the moments are different. Beat all yonkous is a long term plan, same as pirate king title, not a desperate time limit situation to save your brother in war where he had to die for plot reasons.
-
Even then, luffy managed to do what he was there for, free ace and stop his execution.
You're a gold mine.
Also, the moments are different. Beat all yonkous is a long term plan, same as pirate king title, not a desperate time limit situation to save your brother in war where he had to die for plot reasons.
Ah so you're saying it's an even less binding statement that we have even less reason to believe will be carried out exactly to the letter.
-
@Monkey:

can't you see how Oda set this all up? It's just like Pokemon, there has been 7 shichibukai, but one already got replaced, 7 of the strongest pirates plus one that's 8. It's obvious that they are the eight gym leaders that you need to get badges from, then you have the elite four….. which is the yonko of course! once you have beat them all and only then you get to raftel you must fight the old champion.... or the ghost of gold roger
then if you beat him you become the
pokemon masterPirate King -
Even then, luffy managed to do what he was there for, free ace and stop his execution.
No he didn't. The method of execution was simply changed from beheading to magma-fisting.
The only way he would be able to save ace even from Akainu was to beat him.
Or maybe they could have just kept running away instead of turning around to fight him.
Also, the moments are different. Beat all yonkous is a long term plan, same as pirate king title, not a desperate time limit situation to save your brother in war where he had to die for plot reasons.
That's not the point. What Zeph is saying is that not everything Luffy says or wants will absolutely come true no matter what.
-
Only in the most literal, legalistic interpretation of Luffy's goals during Marineford would lead to the conclusion that he succeeded in saving Ace lol
-
Blackbeard is too coward to be final villain. This guy runs from fights he can't win.
How good would the final battle be if BB runs when he notices he can't win and cries like a little baby from luffy's every hit?
-
Geez, why do you want everyone to be a Terminator? The cowardice is part of what makes Blackbeard a despicable villain, and also an indicator of just how different he is from the other Ds. No doubt that will come back up eventually since the Ds are tied to the Void Century. But I guess that's less important to you than having him just stand there and stoically take punches to the face.
By the way, that cowardice will only make him more difficult to beat. An animal is most dangerous when cornered, so expect him to pull some dirty tricks when he's in a pinch. Like you know, with Whitebeard.
-
Keep in mind Blackbeard's logia makes him take all his damage AND feel it extra. So everything is hitting him twice as hard and he's still tanking it anyway.
And the fact that he IS different from the typical stoic uber planning badasses is what makes him so interesting and so Oda. Lying, cheating, running, sneaking dirty tactics? Sounds like a pirate to me.
-

Half of it's a fucking act to make people drop their guard you moron.
The other half is because his fruit makes everything that hits him hurt even more.
-

Most big guys in one piece are the typical badasses. From known yonkous, admirals, supernovas, other pirates and marines, warlords.
If we look back at what villains Luffy faced so far, the ones who are somewhat similar to BB are maybe Buggy, Caribou, Moria. The stronger ones he beat are the typical badasses.
@Cyan:

The other half is because his fruit makes everything that hits him hurt even more.
So running from akainu was just a act to make him drop his guard, ok .
-
So I guess Moria is a typical badass then. He is a slick looking onion if you ask me.
-
When Luffy becomes the Pirate King, he'll become a stoic, unfeeling badass who's only purpose is to punch and get punched. Without crying, having fun, or being an idiot of course. The higher up you go, the less emotions you have.
Also, have you not considered that there's a reason why Blackbeard is being built up as Luffy's foil? Because that's what makes Blackbeard unique from all other villains, unlike Buggy. Or Caribou. Or Akainu.
-
Most big guys in one piece are the typical badasses. From known yonkous, admirals, supernovas, other pirates and marines, warlords.
Typical badasses such as:
-transgender mafia sand man
-fat karate fish
-count chocula
-elton john meets clockwork orange
-sofia vargera
-puritan bear cyborg
-doddering old seventies glasses
-lazy ice cyclist
-iron maiden priest goblin man
-jamiroqai
-smiling rasputin angel
-gluttonous avril lavigne
-jet set radio chinese pirate
-electric parachute pants eminem
-captain reptar
-tiny goombaamong others.

So running from akainu was just a act to make him drop his guard, ok .
By this logic Luffy and virtually the entire Whitebeard crew are also worthless cowards who are not cut out for the quest.
-
I still believe:
Shanks and crew gets killed by Blackbeard and friends before Raftel
OP gets found by whoever
Straw hats vs WG- Luffy vs Akainu
- Gorosei fight Garp, Sengoku, Dragon, Aokiji, and random fifth person.
- Just like at Marineford BB shows up at the end or he meets the SH after the stuff from the war clear up a bit as he scrambles for power now that the WG is out.
BB vs SH
Pirate who opened Luffys barrel becomes Pirate King
-
Also, have you not considered that there's a reason why Blackbeard is being built up as Luffy's foil? Because that's what makes Blackbeard unique from all other villains, unlike Buggy. Or Caribou. Or Akainu.
To be fair, Luffy has a lot of foils.
Teach, Law, Akainu, Kid, even Buggy is a foil to Luffy to an extent.

I think Scrathmen Apoo is the jet set radio chinese pirate, and the electric parachute pants eminem is Enel.
Iron maiden priest goblin man might be Kidd?
I think the doddering old seventies glasses is supposed to be Kizaru.
Absolutely no idea who's the tiny goomba. -

Best and MOST interesting villain material right there. -
To be fair, Luffy has a lot of foils.

True, but Blackbeard stands out as THE biggest foil; he can be considered Luffy's opposite in nearly anything, such as appearances or how they plan out things. Hell, Oda showed that their food tastes were opposite of each other in Blackbeard's introduction!

Iron Maiden Goblin I think refers to the band so that'd be Moriah.
So Chocula = Foxy?
My faves would be Shiny Freddy Mercury & 2nd Amendment Maid. -

Come on man, Kidd's pirate crew is modeled after early 80's British Metal fashion.
They even pretty much have the Iron Maiden mascot in the crew. -
Yes, they are badasses in my book(at least 90% of them).
Whitebeard imply that BB is not the guy who Roger was looking for. That translated to me as: he is not the guy who will find the one piece. So luffy's and BB relation is related to one piece, whoever finds it, not the final war.
Also, the scar Luffy got from Akainu. How many scars did Luffy get so far in his many battles in one piece? So luffy is stuck with a lifetime big, ugly scar, that hurts only when you say Akainu's name, just because he is ONE OF THE MANY villains, not the main, ok guys.
-
Whitebeard imply that BB is not the guy who Roger was looking for.
Yes, Luffy, our main character and hero, is in fact the person worthy of inheriting the quest. And not the villainous version of himself.
That translated to me as: he is not the guy who will find the one piece. So luffy's and BB relation is related to one piece, whoever finds it, not the final war.
This implies that Roger was looking for someone to find the treasure. Except no.
Roger is hoping for someone worthy of the treasure and the implications within it.
So yeah, probably not the chaotic evil throat cutter.
Yes right up there with Luffy's most dastardly foe, his ten year old self.
Also careful where you throw that logic, because it strengthens the case of Shanks being taken down by Blackbeard, which in turn strengthens the case of Blackbeard in the future far outstripping Akainu in the department of "people Luffy has grudges against".
-
@Monkey:

Sure, compare battle earned scars that represents everything luffy faced at marineford, a memory of his brother death that will last forever with that joke luffy made on himself.

I don't think BB can do that, even if he kills Shanks. Ace was like his family, brother that traded his life for luffy's life. Shanks is the guy who inspired luffy, but is also the guy luffy plans to defeat along with the other yonkous.
