I felt the need to close the link with that horrible editinng and filters! It's a dumb idea to even think he was admiral with twentysomething. The admirals were mainly based on Momotarō's animal friends.
Guy from video is pretty weird person but it makes sense if Dragon was part of marines at one point. At least for me.
His words to Smoker, what Aokiji said lately about possibilities opening before somebody who quits Marines and sees things from different perspective and Garps anger at Shanks for inspiring Luffy to become pirate instead of becoming marine as gramps wanted.. Its logical that Garp would push Dragon towards becoming top notch marine. Its his son all in all. Its also very possible that as Dragon was(or rather could have been) part of marines he might have had witnessed a lot of World Goverment real goals and actions. Somehow his hate for World Goverment must have been builded up and being marine at some point would make sense.
If he was a marine, and a high ranking one like an Admiral, how come the world barely knew anything about him? Hell they didn't even know his full name.

Do you ask me or what?
I dont think he was an admiral, but being a marine for some years sounds fitting imo. As for world knowing much or not much about him- do you think that entire world knows so much about some marine?
As for not knowing his full name- isnt it Monkey D. Dragon ? Or did I gotten something wrong ?
Weird questions you asked this time.

Yes, it's his full name. But Garp's soldiers for example found out about it only in Water 7

Nope haha. He makes that hat look cool. His videos are entertaining too

Yes it is monkey d Dragon but his epithet could have been white dragon.
It's just theory so worth thinking about it
Only Greg can pull the hat off you copy cats.
My friend had this interesting theory, there is not alot to back it up with as of now but its a pretty cool idea:
Aikanu is planning to take down the current World Government in a military coup and make the Marines the dominant force in the World. Being a strict follower of absolute justice, he might no longer be able to turn a blind eye on the Tenriiyubitos bullshit and he probably doesnt agree with the Gorosei's softer, peace-seeking philosophy and approach.
There is something to this theory, because neither Fujitora nor Sakazuki would have the authority to remove the shichibukai, because they work direclty for the gorosei.
Going against the the Warlords means the Marines are openly goin
The first step in his plan was the global recruitment wich strenghtened the marines massivley.
The second step is to dissemble the shichibukai. Why? Because the Shichibukai are one of the three world powers and they work directly under the world government and has to swear a pact/oath to the Gorosei.
We know that Fujitora is carrying out this plan and i doubt he would have the mandate to make such a decision on his own. It might be an order from Akainu. Remember that we saw him specificly choose fujitora for the current mission in dressrosa, where they knew there would be an opportunity to take out two warlords on one island. Remember that Fuji was in fact aiming to hit Doffy too with his meteor in the first clash with law.
I find this theory interesting because it has one solid point; neither fujitora or sakazuki has the authority to vanquish the warlords, because the warlords work directly under the Gorosei as one of the world powers with a purpose to maintain the balance of the world. If the marines decided to openly take them out without permission, it would mean going against the gorosei and taking out one of their most important assets. Treason of high degree.

A coup means pissing off 170+ nations. The Marines would receive one hell of a backlash.
Not to mention that it's been up for over 800+ years. A coup would essentially destroy everything (political, economical and social relations with all the 170+ countries) that was built since that time. The following government would be relatively weak without the support of all the nations allied to the WG and would be easy prey for the Revolutionaries.
No way the current WG will suffer a coup as the negatives outweigh the positives. Hell, Fujitora himself implied to Doula that the Reverie will probably be the one opportunity for the abolishment of the Warlord system, probably by making everybody of importance realize that the Warlord system is extremely flawed.
Considering how important the current WG is for backstory stuff like The Void Century, the 20 Kings, the Ancient Weapons and the Ancient Kingdom, the chances of a coup happening is even less likely.

Why would the coup destroy all that?
Gorosei in the beginning don't seem to be doing much, except for sitting around. All of the actuall work is done by the Marines and Cipher polls.
And, lest we forget, I would imagine that eventual coup would mean dealing with Celestial Dragons, whom high ranking marines seems to treat with disdain and annoyence.
What does that mean?
That those annyoing assholes standing above the law are no longer around.
And you don't have to pay tributes for them.
Or waste resources on their stupid ideas.
Why would anyone actually defend those guys against Sakazuki? You guys keep talking about backlash, but I fail to see the reasons for it. What did the current ruling branch actually did that would create enough respect for the for the people to stand in their defense?
Because whatever happened in the void century it looks like the Celestial Dragons and the 20 kingdoms were put in place to rule afterwards. There were reasons and overthrowing the order may well bring back whatever disaster happened then.

Gee, the way you making it sound it seems as if Revolutionaries were the main villains of One Piece.
No opposed to the idea, mind you.

It may be fairer to say the established order has information they do not and whatever knowledge they have makes them believe it's worth keeping an iron boot on the freedoms of the populace. And you know what they say about those who trade freedom for security.
The rise of pirates and revolutionaries are symptoms of a system that's failing.

It's extacly like todays goverments… And the Revolutionaries are simply terrorists trying to overthrow the leadership for crimes deemed necessary by the leaders.
I'm not saying that what the govermant do is alright (CP9 for example) but they know more than we do so they think it's okay. (Think of the US and area 51)
The only reason we are siding with the Revolutionaries is becouse of Dragon Sabo and the fact that the WG are againts Luffy.

Even then, it won't be Akainu who will dispose of the nobles. That will be the Revolutionaries, the people who actually suffered under their rule.
Akainu is just an antagonist. He won't do stuff that the protagonists are most likely going to do. The Revolutionaries are there to oppose the World Nobles.
Due to the latest anime episode (and I know anime isn't the prime source, but still they answer Oda) and all the times we have seen Fuji use his power while holding his sword, I came to belive that the sword have the gravity fruit and not Fuji himself.
So my theory is that if a non living object eats a Paramicia DF, the user can "tap" into it's powers and use them.
Funny to think what will happen to objects eating a Logia class fruit.
what if luffy wakes up in this scene and realizes that everything he's been through, from the day he met coby to dress rosa, was just a dream? And Oda would start all over again xd
Fujitora.
The power to bend gravity can perhaps give you the power to turn "invisble" or turn something else "invisble".
I'm no scientist, but if Fuji can drag back the light that hit him, wouldn't he turn invisble?
Or is it physically impossible?
I came up with it before it was cool ^^

Do you have any idea what the ramifications of Akainu trying to over throw the World Government would be? Forget the backlash from the unified countries, or the concerns of the Citizens, it would absolutely destroy the World Government.
The battle would consist entirely of Marines. That means for every Marine that gets injured or killed on the battlefield, it would be a direct blow to the World Governments military might.
While the World Government is engaged in fighting itself, Pirates all over the World would have free reign to do whatever they want, to which ever country they choose. Resulting in the World Government to lose massive amounts of territory, and failing to protect the very people they swore they would.
After the battle is said an done, and one side has emerged victorious, the Yonkos and the Revolutionaries aren't just going to sit idly by and wait for the World Government to recover their massive losses, and they will use that time to swoop in an absolutely decimate what ever forces the World Government has left.
Akainu might risk the lives of his underlings to destroy any and all Pirates, but he's not going to risk their lives to destroy the Government itself. It's a suicide strategy, and Akainu is not an idiot.
I have a pretty solid theory concerning what D. stands for exactly.
We are pretty sure that Joy Boy is a reference to the ancient Indonesian king Joyoboyo who ruled over a prosperous kingdom. (Ancient Kingdom anyone?)
This implies that the AK is inspired from Indonesia's history.
I agree that Luffy probably relates to the AK, but wouldn't it be too simplistic if D. actually stood for the word 'Descendant'? There's definitely more to it than that.
I've done a bit of research and noticed that the Indonesian kingdom worshipped many gods. I also found out that the word 'God' in Indonesian actually translates into 'Dewa'. Monkey Dewa Luffy, has a nice ring to it right?
This means that The Will of D. is no other than The Will of God. Not far fetched in my opinion.
The language spoken by the AK and engraved on the Poneglyphs is probably non other than Indonesian. And it would make complete sense if D. is actually the first letter of a word of that civilization's language.
'The will of God, divine will, or God's plan is the concept of God having a plan for humanity, and desiring to see this plan fulfilled.' This doesn't contradict the well-known theory concerning One Piece's ending. (Uniting the 4 seas).
All this would mean that those who have D. in their name are both related to the AK AND hold some sort of divinity making them capable of changing the world.
You may ask what does god or religion have to do with One Piece, but this wouldn't be the first time that they are used as themes in Mangas. Besides there has been some foreshadowing concerning this as the 3 ancient weapons Pluto, Poseidon and Uranus are all names of gods. Also the ability to communicate with sea kings isn't something that can be conceived with advanced technology, but rather a power granted by a diety. This hints to gods having a lot to do with the Ancient Kingdom.
And finally google ' Leslie D. Weatherhead, The Will of God '
Thoughts?

I have theory pertaining to the Void Century.
We all know that when "The Will of D" was brought up to Oda, his simple reply was to read it as a D for now….Well knowing for a fact that it does not pertain to the letter D, it could in theory actually be a symbol of a Half Moon.........Now lets think for a minute, there was a highly advanced civilization of ruins named Birka found on the Moon.....A city in Skypeia also happens to share the same name which Enel destroyed....So far we have no knowledge of the Ancient Kingdom, not where they came from, or what ended up happening to them during the void century. Now seeing that a city on the moon, and a city in Skypiea bare the same name, in theory the people of the Ancient Kingdom could have been driven from the Moon due to unknown reason, and migrated down to the OP World (Coincidentally naming the city Birka). Over the centuries they amassed great wealth and dominated the World using highly advanced technology. The Original Royal families of the World (Celestial Dragons) grew greedy and envious of of the Ancient Kingdom, and wanted the Wealth for themselves. I'm not going to try and guess the entire plotline, but what I think happened was the Celestial Dragons eventually developed/gained access to the Ancient Weapons and lead an assault on Birka, almost completely destroying them in the process. With no where left to go, the survivors tried to retreat back to their home planet on the Moon, but lacked the resources to make it all the way back, and eventually formed Skypiea. Remember the Shandians who lived on Jaya already had wings on their backs before the knock up stream sent them flying to Skypiea, which would indicate that they originally came from the Sky in the first place. I believe the Shandians/Birkians who were left on the ground where the ones who created the Poneglyphs, and left it up to their ancestors to protect them. Fast forward to the semi-current timeline, and Enel discovered the truth behind where his people came from. The events of Skypiea happened, and Enel finally made it to Endless Vearth. I also have another Theory about the D standing for Destiny, history repeating itself, and the promised day, but I'll just leave it at this for now.
Posted this on the wrong thread zzz anyways…
Just a random thought but... do you people think that it is possible that Usopp or the SH crew in general might get a DF as a gift from Tontatta kingdom for his contribution? They are obviously known for cultivating smiles. Although we do have questions regarding what exactly is the difference between a smile and a natural DF, how it is actually cultivated using SAD, advantages/disadvantages etc there are chances that the SH crew might get a smile DF as a gift perhaps? It can either be eaten by someone from the crew or some other use for it later on maybe.
before being able to do so,he would create a black hole that destroys the earth
That would be cool too i guess.

wont happen wont happen wont happen
Big Mum will destroy the Bird Cage. We've seen her ship being around and the cage will bother her.
It would be awesome if Usopp fakes his suicide, or in other words sacrifices himself in order to save everyone on the island. He will "kill" himself so they don't have to make a terrible sin by attacking him.
Then later he fakes his resurrection.
bellamy will join the crew after dressrosa
StrawHats and friends will keep having skirmishes with different members of yonko's crews for quite some time before they really get a serious fight.
I mean, like every island from now on they will be dealing with some people under an yonko for different reasons, but not necessarily fighting the yonko head on.
dumbish theory: luffy knocking out doffy will be attributed to usopp by the regular dudes on the island, due to him about to be killed and then bird cage vanishing.
what if luffy wakes up in this scene and realizes that everything he's been through, from the day he met coby to dress rosa, was just a dream? And Oda would start all over again xd
If that happened, I will admit myself to the St. Elsewehre hospital!!
wonders how many will get my joke based on an 1980s American TV show
Well I have a new theory (at least new to me)
http://www.onemanga.me/one-piece/595/19/
Two things cought my attention:
a) The man in the hat is wearing what seems to be a scarf of feathers or fur? Similar to how Doflamingo is wearing his coat perhaps?
b) The room is FULL of roses. Roses? Dressrosa? Seems fishy.
Maybe it have been mentioned befor but could it be that the guy in the hat is Doflamingo's father?

What the hell would Bastille do to a Yonkou.
@Monkey:

Threaten him and then get his ass kicked mercilessly.
I guess you two don't know how to read. I said a COMBINATION OF FUJITORA (The admiral) AND Bastille would do that. Kaido isn't going to fucking fight an Admiral, a Vice Admiral, and every other powerhouse on the island.
hes a yonkou so yes he would, actually
especially because he has a crew and everyone on the island just fought
MEADOWS
!
So far so good its my first time to post a not so serious theory.
I would think that Meadows is Kaido, but why he has been fodderize by Cavendish/hakuba?
Because its not the right time to reveal himself. Maybe he go to dressrosa because he heard the news about SHP law alliance and there objectives, also they know the RA is going to make a move because of the trading weapon. We will just wait if this theory is correct hahaha

Try and placate them with a limited edition, replica Bastille facemask?

We all did this dance a while ago.
We have to face the fact that Meadows is in fact just a background character, with no real plot relevance whatsoever.
Meadows - The great shame of AP.

He most likely would. He has a crew of 500 Zoan-Fruit eaters. Granted there are a bunch of powerhouses, but Not many. We all saw how everyone at Marineford acted towards Shanks. Aikanu "somewhat" backed down.
@White:

I disagree. And let's leave it at that.
Strangely enough, I have to agree with Darth.
Sakazuki didn't budge an inch when Shanks turned up, all he did was immediately turn his interest back to the escaping son of Dragon.
Sengoku was the only reason for Akainu stopping his rampage, as if Sakazuki would bow down to any pirate scum in the world.
Meadows - The great shame of AP.
I'm still wondering how anyone could actually support that theory back than. XD

Kaidous crew would likely eat them up like a desert for dinner. Issho would be a bit of a problem, but far from impossible to beat, if encircled by other top commanders and Kaidou. There is no other powerhouse capable of emperor crew busting besides Fuji on the island, so whom are you talking about? If Luffy has problems with Mongo, he is not in that league yet.
I'm still wondering how anyone could actually support that theory back than. XD
Ah maaaan, it seemed so damn plausible for like 10 minutes lol
After the whole theme of important characters hiding their faces (Mr.Store, Ricky, Lucy) in previous rounds, it really seemed like Meadows could have continued that theme.
Looking back though…we all heard hooves and immediately thought it must be a zebra lol
