Robin vs Trebol? She would get destroyed .
Chapter 738: "Trebol Army, Special Executive Sugar"

-
It's inevitable now! Usopp WILL become a toy, I'm sure of it!
-
• Trevol doesn't seem to be a Logia, but he's just another mr 3/ Magellan
It's fun because this chapter made me think the opposite. Let's wait and see. To be fair, his hand is hidden in all the panels when he uses the beta chain.
-
Why him?
Oh, that's Trevor from the Thomas the Tank Engine series. I was a big fan when I was a kid.

Trevor? Pft, it was Harold or nothing, son.

of the series in general :P
Thomas was actually my fav.

Big deal! At least we will forget his "heroic" actions this chapter! Just trolling sorry i couldn't resist. Either way if that happens Robin will have to deal with both Trebol and Sugar all alone and that is unlikely but who knows.

My reason is simple he seems to be more of a Spiderman to me dispatching himself from place to place while spiderman uses his web to move from place to place leaving a trace behind him but Trevol doesn't seem to be doing that sort of thing, like when he hit the fly with his finger, he didn't release his element but he used it like a whip, which I'm assuming it attached to him again.

I used to watch those shows too but I don't remember much of it, I don't remember none of those names either and I only remember those from CN and Fox Kid (They ruined that channel).

It's inevitable now! Usopp WILL become a toy, I'm sure of it!
Why? because he's realizing that there will be times where people are going to expect him to do the job instead of expecting the monsters from his crew do everything.

@Yamato:
If Sugar touches one of Robin's sprouted hands/legs/etc … would that turn Robin into a toy ??:ninja:
…. Yes

@Da:
Well, an easier answer for Mocha's case is "for plot purposes". I think you're overthinking things. The point now here is Robin is fairly effective against Trebol that will later develop to something else.
exactly , when we see luffy go all out against DD ppl are gonna say why didn't he do that to destroy noah more effectively
and same for every strawhat , oda can't show all what they gained in the training on some worthless situations
am certain that not a single strawhat went all out since the TS , we just keep forgetting that
usopp and robin are not weak they will fight their combats on their own -
Rather than why didn't Usopp do anything, what could he have done?
Look at what's going on: The Tontattas are trying to scare/KO Sugar. Robin led Trebol away so they wouldn't all die.
So Sugar can fight back, so what? They're warriors. They can take care of themselves. It's not like we've seen either of them fighting at full strength.
Usopp's not Luffy: He's not going to charge into a problem head-on unless it's urgent. He's also not a close-range fighter; he can easily hit Sugar from where he is if need be. There's no reason for him to go in guns a-blazing. If anything, it'd make things worse.
(Maybe he can shoot a few of those plant-things. She might be distracted enough that she won't notice until it's too late.)
People actually thought that Sugar would be absolutely defenseless despite her employment by Doflo and her cold-hearted nature? Weird
Anime lolis tend to be useless outside of their roles as plot Macguffins. It's a nice surprise that Oda's doing otherwise.
Lastly. I WANT ROBIN TO FIGHT TREBOL!!!! I want to see her growth.
This. Oda don't drop the ball pls.
-
If Trebol isn't your favorite Executive by now you've lost.
-
Think people are being too hard on Usopp. The fight just started and from their perspective, Sugar just summoned a bunch of bears. He doesn't know that they're former dwarves. I see him as biding his time and looking for the right moment to strike. Yes, he's telling himself he'll run but that's just a gag, he'll do the right thing when the time comes and he's far more useful staying hidden and striking from the shadows then going out attacking in a melee.
-
finally i know for what purpose those trebol's between leg chains are used..he used it (warped by sticky thing) when he caught robin bunshin no jutsu.
-
If Trebol isn't your favorite Executive by now you've lost.
You are messing with the wrong Executive there…
(and not to even mention Steven Tyler )
-
It's so obnoxious that everyone in Dressrosa is so god damn gullible. The citizens of Dressrosa think nothing odd of the fact that their disgustingly mawkish and virtuous king decides to go on a murdering rampage , and then Doflamingo arrives, and they quickly accept Doffy as their king. Then you have the dwarves, who are meant by Oda himself to be gullible little bastards. I'm hoping Oda end up making this ubiquitous gullibility in Dressrosa a plot point, because if he does, then all of this idiotic Dressrosan behavior will make sense.
-

We are yet to see much of Pica. I have a feeling he will end up to be my favorite. Diamante's design is the best though.
For those saying Robin flowers have to be rooted, she bloomed eyes into thin air in chapter 737.
-
Soooooo happy we're back from break.
Trebol can shoot snot/sticky bullets from his finger at insane speeds. He even shot a fly inbetween the eyes with pin-point accuracy.
If that's not severe hinting that he's going to be Usopp's opponent, then I don't know what is.I had a feeling that Sugar was stronger than she appears. She's pretty fast, too. As fast as the dwarves. Her ability is the most broken power we've gotten in the manga since Law's Ope-Ope no Mi.
Without any knowledge of the weaknesses and strengths of her power, she could incapacitate top tier fighters with ease.We also got a glimpse of the Smiley factory and the enslaved tontattas. It's sort of weird how their race is so easily deceived. And it seems like the artificial fruits are made from those oddly-shaped trees (duh), but there seems to be some type of technique to creating a fully-riped Smiley fruit.

Doflamingo shots his thread like bullets too, does that make him Ussop opponent as well?
But it was't like an actuall bullet and it wasn;'t focused on to the point where they stated how much accuracy he needed to be able to shoot the fly between the eyes.
-
Doflamingo shots his thread like bullets too, does that make him Ussop opponent as well?
But there was never any focus on the accuracy of Doflamingo's string bullets. On the very next page, Robin mentions how abnormal Trebol's speed and accuracy is.
-
Doflamingo shots his thread like bullets too, does that make him Ussop opponent as well?
That would be one hell of a twist.
-
I must be the only person not annoyed by it.
I figure Usopp's going to enter the situation right about now.
My only question is, is Robin going to fight Trebol, or is Usopp? Trebol has long ranged attacks and a sniping ability. Sugar probably can't be touched at all by Robin's power I'm thinking?
maybe a tag team match, usopp and robin vs trebol and sugar
-
At the moment, the fight with Usopp, Robin and dwarves vs Sugar, Trebol and toys interests me more than any other incoming fight. It's going to be hillarious. Something better than Usopp vs. Perona, possibly even nearing Usopp and Chopper vs. Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas.

Most of us are eagerly awaiting Robin's first real fight since the time-skip. God knows that woman could use some time in the spotlight. And I'm not even talking about the fight per se; just seeing her use her DF in an interesting and creative manner is good enough.
-
He will come through, I think he made the right call there. Send the pawns in and see what Sugar is capable of.
I like the way you worded that XD
I don't like Usopp's chances in this situation but hopefully he's able to pull off a Tatababasco star on Sugar

Those two are certainly good fights that showcased that Usopp shouldn't be discounted as unreliable in a fight.
Another fight that showcased that Usopp can persevere against a stronger opponent is his very first one on one fight = Usopp vs Chew.yeah yeah, I hear fans caterwauling "Chew is weak!"
On the current standards he is but not back then when Usopp faced him. Back then, at that point, he was stronger than Usopp. He was a fishman (who are x times stronger than average human), a pirate that was active for 15 or more years (he was a member of the Sun Pirates) and Usopp was a village boy who just set out as a pirate with no true experience in one-on-one fighting. At one point Usopp thought the only way he could survive was to let Chew think he killed him and then walk away. But Usopp decided he could not do that, asking how could he face his friends if he didn't at least try to stand his ground. So Usopp got up and faced off against
Chew. And he won. -

No, no I want Robin to completely destroy Trevol's ugly ass mug
-
Something was brought to my attention over the youtubez:
Tonto in spanish means Stupid; idiot; moron. Maybe i'm a Tonto myself if this has already been brought up but again Oda with his word games :)
On a different note, I don't know why but for some reason i want ussop to eat the Tatababasco before fighting Sugar / Trebol or use it somehow (except the obvious Tabasco star which i'd love too).

It was funny seeing how Usopp was using what he knew about Luffy, and Luffy falling into one hillarious trap after another. But vs. Mr. 4 and Miss Christmas still takes the cake for me. It was both interesting and hillarious. I'm hoping to see something like that now.
Wasn't that impressed with his new fighting style, to be honest. It's like he has a convenient special plant for each occasion. I mean, flowers shaped like a wolf with impact dial in his nose!? Here's hoping for more inteligence and cunning and less exotic conveniently op plants.

Oh yeah. Thanks for reminding us. So the Tonto's dumbness didn't really come unprecedented.

It's out.
http://read.powermanga.org/read/one_piece/en/0/738/page/2Great, thanks! By the way, shouldn't Sugar say "Your" instead of "You" in page 11?

It kinda should, if you mean on the last "you" in the last panel.
-
Yeah, that's what I meant.

Yep, same here. Usopp fights are almost always fun to watch and often hilarious. It's also the first time Usopp will be tag teaming solely with Robin against a foe, that is if she's not too preoccupied with kicking Trebol's ass.
-
Just noticed something about Robin which i find odd.
Her power's supposed to work for a target she's seeing, right? Then how come she's closing her eyes on the bottom panel right before grabbing Leo? Wasn't she supposed to be looking @ him to be able to do that?
-
Oda should stick with this kind of narrative instead of switching the scenes there and there everytime. It really is refreshing to read.
-
I have more respect for Trebol's repulsive ass now; that Sticky fruit has a few applications. On a similar not, I knew Sugar was strong; DD would never accept weaklings in his crew, no matter what they could do. Now, I just want somebody (preferably Robin) to KICK THAT BITCHES ASS!!!

I actually asked this before and I still have my hopes up for some Observation Haki after the Punk Hazard incident.

Well, it was never 100% stated that she actually has to see a target in order to sprout limbs on it. There are several examples which show it.
Alabasta door, breaking Yama's neck mid-fall, sprouting eyes on Luffy's arms in Skypiea, Green Bit when she informed Law, even this panel when she looked after the fly. In all scenes, she didnt see her target directly. She just has to know where exactly to sprout.

Robin with haki would be great, but what is the punk hazard incident?

It does not explain how she grabed Leo at full speed with 2 hands without looking at him while she needed "thousand" of arms to catch Kabu (maybe because he had the zoan speed on his side).
Of course Oda might have drawn her like that to show her hesitating. -
Make a contract with me…and become a magical toy!
-
Found this entire chapter odd as hell
From the fact that the guy goes after a fly so fiercly that he fucks the tower
To the fact that he throws an entire ship into the tower for some reason…
-
All Robin has to say is that she was trained by Dragon himself, boom now she can use haki. I would be extremely disappointed if both Usopp and Robin turn into toys and don't have fights of their own. Sadly, I feel like that's the case. Robin's limbs are just screaming to be touched by Sugar. Oda has to do something with the rest of the Strawhats. I hope he doesn't make Kanjuro (Is that his name?) be the one to take on Trebol.

Did you notice how Trebol talks? i think he is supposed to be incredibly stupid

Yeah and it makes the story easier to follow. Dressrossa is kinda a clusterfuck hopfully the anime will tell the story with one narrative instead of jumping back and forth.
-
Obviously trebol either knows Sugar is strong enough to survive the destruction of the tower or he has a problem with overreacting. he did bust up the tower just because of a fly… it would be funny if he knocked her out by the ship crashing on her head.. too easy though. pumped for next week

I think reading this arc in the printed volumes rather than 1 scanlation per week would be a significantly different experience, and it would be easier to appreciate the quick action-packed pacing.

Please take close attention to the bottom left panel of this page.

5th panel, she reacted/sensed the explosion a few seconds before it happened and Oda gave it a panel.
