Things That You Would Like to See in the Manga

See, but here's a thing. He can enlist said guy without making him an Admiral. After all, he is under no obligation to make someone basically one of his second-in-command.

That's why I think he would take the powerful guy, but make him some lower rank, so that he gathers necessery experience. For some reason every Admiral so far is in his fifties, so I think experience does play a part in it.

Just my opinion, of course.

The conscription seems to break the kind of rules you need for usual advancement though.

It seems to be about recruiting guys that wouldn't have joined the marines otherwise, Fuji is at an advanced age, yet it seems he was never interested in joining the marines before becoming an admiral during the timeskip.

Guys who have the power needed to become an admiral but aren't interested in taking orders, or waiting for regular advancement could really be helped by the conscription.

Also, we haven't seen them in then beginning. We see them when they are already VA. They have Haki. They have Logia powers. The youngest we see them in action is Kuzan on Ohara, and let's be honest, Saul wasn't really trying, and Kuzan was already a Logia Vice-Admiral with 8 years of experience.

So yes, I think 20 year old Admiral is unbelieveable.

Plus, it's a really resposible post, and you would think Akainu would give it to someone with more experience.

I think they are in the beggars can't be choosers when they were looking for not one, but two Admirals at the same time. I just think that if potentially the next Pirate King, Mihawk's replacement, and two new potential Yonkos all getting to that level in their 20s, then there's no reason an Admiral shouldn't be able to power wise. Responsibility and experience are valid points but they may just have to make due with the best of what they have.

It would also be nice to see someone screw up due to the lack of experience as a story plot device.

It was before the blank century. At that time she was just a mermaid with great power and living 10 000 meters under the sea. To the humans it was probably a simple rumor about that mermaid which possess a powerful ability. Only when the war begins was that power referred as a weapon capable of destroying the world. I'm fairly sure the fishmen of that time had a vague idea of how their princess would bring them to the surface with Noah.

I would like to see more of the Kidd's crew. Their abilities, etc. They are IMO one of the most interstinf crews, apart from the StrawHats of course. Especially in this picture they seem like a satan worshipping cult, but maybe it's just me. Killer's extend of power is yet unknown as well, and the firebreathing guy, and the guy with the horn-like thing, they all look intersting to me. So can't wait until they get their time.

Yeah I'd also like to get the name of Kid's fruits and get to know the extent of his powers. I could see him appearing soon now that Big Mom's crew has entered the fray because she seems to be his alliance's target.

I want to see Moria's true fighting capabilities other than just zombies and shadow absorption. I believe how he impaled Oars Jr. so easily shows that his strength with his shadow is really something else.

Guys like Fujitora are being elevated in instantaneous fashion purely to give more power to the marines.

So if Sakazuki enlists a young guy who's an absolute monster, but inexperienced, what sense would it make to stop his advancement? He needs all his admirals to be able to compete physically with the yonko and their commanders, experience is an added luxury in that regard.

If it came down to an incredibly powerful younger guy with little experience Vs. someone like Onigumo who clearly has bags of experience but lacks the necessary power, I could definitely see Sakazuki picking the younger guy. Not only would he provide the kind of firepower needed, but he could end up being a marine asset for years to come.

I'd actually love it if the colour code in Green Bull came from the guys youth, and wasn't linked with an ability at all.

The character's appearance would just instantly develop a huge intrigue for me.

Actually it was made apparent during the war that his abilities is pretty awful. His DF abilities or limits could be great, but his control over them is pretty poor. This is probably why the Government wanted to remove him after such an easy defeat against jinbei.

It would be good to see that power in somebody elses hands.

I personally want to see if Luffy is the same as Roger, with an ability to hear all things. I know he was shown to share something similar to roger when he heard the sea kings, but the real test is that of a ponyglyph at some stage down the line. It isn't about him reading them, but seeing if that is something open to him.

I was saying that it was weird that instead of fighting using the same kind of tactics that worked pretty damn well against Luffy for the most part, he decided to engage a fishman karate master in a purely physical fight.

His physical strength/stamina appeared to be fine too, he took some huge shots and came back up.

What he seems to have lost however, was his agility and speed. Going from a skinny guy to a round ball.

His durability was very impressive when augmented by a full power shadows asgard, but from the way Jinbei dealt with him so easily, it still leaves a bit to be desired when he isn't powered up like that.

His agility is most definitely a factor, which it most likely wasn't back when he had that lovely, defined and unzippered chin of his.

His control over his DF powers was excellent though, that's what makes his macho wacho approach to taking on Jinbei so weird.

Doppleman could have tanked that punch Jinbei layed him out with most likely.

Obviously just speculating here, but I imagine that he can't fully utilize his shadow (doppelman) in broad daylight. I think he only used his shadow-clone once, and that was when he impaled Oars (who towered above him):

I mean there is no way he could have defeated Doffy backed by an army of Pacifista, but his powers should allow him to escape from pretty much anyone by switching places with doppelman. But he couldn't, he had to be saved by Absalom to survive…which is weird.

As for what I want to see....yeah Moriah kicking ass would be cool and I expect it sooner than later. I just hope Oda doesn't change his design too much, I think it's one of the best next to Jinbe.

That's true, but Jinbei did have a pretty easy time with him even if he didn't keep him down.

I really want to see a fit Moria doing tag team manoeuvres against opponents with Doppleman as his partner.

That's my point though, he could use his strong (probably strongest) shadow clone attack because Oar's was in front of him, throwing a massive shadow.

Yeah it would make sense that using Oars' shadow would be stronger when used, but it still doesn't explain Doppleman's absence.

Maybe Jinbei really did just manage to make Moria totally lose his head by goading him about his dependence on his zombies.

I thought the reasons behind his removal were more because he lost to the Straw Hats after being warned by Kuma the WG couldn't afford the appearance of another shichibukai being defeated. Not that Luffy would have bragged but they decided to act before rumours of it got out.

His vulnerability to salt becoming more common knowledge wouldn't have helped.
