! I liked that Ryuuko didn't give in into her rage this time and that probably resulted in full synchronization, some good character development. Ragyo just ripped out Ryuuko's heart, plus she contrinues to molest her daughter, beat her up and apparently is a baby killer(that baby was probably Ryuuko, but still), along with brainwashing people with the life fiber. Yeah, she's really despicable at this point. Can't wait to see her go down. Looking forward to the sub.
Kill La Kill

-
! So Ragyo is Ryuko's mother. I'm sure many expected that, but did you expect what Ryuko's lock of red hair does?:ninja:
-
This series is just too much sometimes, _sheesh!_
Also, one scene had me thinking back to a 90's cartoon: Biker Mice from Mars anyone?
-
Hot damn, Trigger. That was brutal and awesome and you guys are amazing.
Also.
! Where's Mako? Preview why. D:
Also.
! I thought I'd gotten long sick of the "lol they wer siblingz all along!!!1111one" plot twist. GUESS WHAT PROVED ME WRONG.
Also.
! Where is my sisterly fanart I want my sisterly fanart.
-
Boom there goes my pocket full of dynamite! Where the hell are my legs!?
! I always knew Ryuko's father was not her real father…. I mean... look at him. But damn. If those hints weren't already completely obvious. I didn't see the last part coming at all. When I saw that flashback, I honestly written that Raygo's second child off for dead. But I really should have saw that.
! But yes. Very good episode. I'm glad they somehow still manage to weave in a bit a comedy even when buckets of blood is splattering all over the fan. Can't wait for Mako's speech next week... Or atleast I hope. If she does not articulate the cliche "long long sister" speech, I'd be VERY disappointed. -

! Same. I was just like "wtf Ragyo now you're a baby killer too?" and didn't think anything of it until she actually said it.
-
Is the sub out yet or are you guys just watching the RAW?
-
Underwater released theirs. I watched it on goodanime.net
-
the vag rubbing was a bit much but I liked the reveal at the end.
-
Man, my jaw hit the floor after this episode, so much greatness.
! Ragyo just dropping that baby (Ryuuko) after she thought it was dead, I was like, damn what a bitch.
-

You say that after Ragyo has molested her multiple times. Always gross, urgh.
Well, watched it subbed. Always figured something was up because of Ryuuko's streak of red hair. Satsuki has been going on about her plan since the start, so there it is. While the reveals were predictable to some level, they were still well done. That was a very good episode for action, too. I feel like the series' pace is proper now. It's still very quick, but it has worked a lot better the past few episodes.
-
! And then Ragyo was Doflamingo.
! And Little Mac.
! And that guy from Temple of Doom. KALI MA! -
I like Mako, but my favorite is Satsuki. I just like this type of character. Everything about her is almost exactly like a character I created.
Please tell me that includes THE EYEBROWS
![](http://wizardchan.org/meta/src/1rrvnath.wizardchan.FLCL Eyebrows.gif)
Characters with expressive eyebrows are the BEST characters. I am objectively right.
Still lagging behind. I am somewhere around Episode 4 but now that I have found some free time, I will squeeze in as many episodes as humanly possible. God, all these comments I don't understand yet are hilarious. Can't wait to see this poetry in motion!
-
! i'm glad they had the reveal in this episode. After the baby scene and ryuko using her hair to break free and knew instantly what the plot twist was which means i wasn't as surprised by it's ending but it doesn't make it any less awesome :)
-
! So was Kinue just the biggest troll ever or will it turn out that Isshin saved Ryuuko by splicing her with Kinue's DNA or something?
Also Satsuki's dad looks like David Bowie and I still stand beside my theory that Aikuro had multiple brothers. Look at this guy
! -
I love that Isshin and Mr. Kiryuin look like 70's and 80's stereotypical anime scientists (respectively) TRIGGER sure knows how to scratch my old-school anime itch.
-
Unrelated. Wait. Related. No. Well.
Happy Valentines Day.
No one's heart belongs to Raygo.(Got this from Tetsuya Wakano's(A KlK animator) Twitter.)
I like that Gamagoori is in the background >_<

This.
Also - the twist didn't twist me at all, I've considered this a possibility long ago, since it IS a cliché.
-
Damn, Ragyo is one hell of an OP biatch. o.o
Totally dominated Satsuki (in more ways than one if ya catch my drift here. Eh, ya get it? Eh? Eh? XD), took her daugther's clothes AND army and then RIPPED Matoi's heart out like nobody's business and that after having her heart and everything stabbed through.
The sister revelation surprised me though I should have considered that possibility but then against Satsuki and Matoi were such perfect rival-future friends/battle buddies that the thought of them being big sis and lil'sis didn't even crossed my mind.^^
Looks like humanity, or parts of it at least, will be doomed in the next episode and end as food for the COVERS. I mean that screaming face we see among the red threads must belong to a human who got caught by the Life Fiber cloth and gets his energy sucked out, right?
Can't wait for the next episode as it will highlight the Deva Four and the remains of the Nudist beach, it's about time that they get their own episode and can show how much lfie fiber butt they can kick. :D
-
Since everybody has already talked about the episode, I'm going to give my thoughts about the preview for the next.
! And is a big FUCK… Satsuki and Ryuuko smashed, Ragyo wearing Junketsu, Nui in the reserve, COVERS wreacking havoc, it's raining and Sanageyama is shown in the last two second and the title is "It's always rain at the end of the road". This doesn't bode well...
-
I just sort of looked back at my comments from episode 1 up till now and while I think the first half(up to 15) still has some issues, there are several things that were sort of in the background developing. Ryuuko's character development for one is actually nicely gradual. From her acceptance of Senketsu, bonding, then Nui showing up and her rampage, plus the defeat by Nui her bond with senketsu has been developed pretty naturally. In the end, that Ryuuko defeated the elite 4 so quickly and with random power-ups didn't matter at all because the elite 4 were planned to be powered-up and Ryuuko had to go berserk, which mattered to her character development. It was all about leading up to this episode actually, it seems to me and it still wasn't this huge stand, it's just feels really natural as a result. It wasn't one huge step like with Simon, it was a bunch of small steps, so they could "rush" through these fights. I still wish Nui would have been foreshadowed a little better, but it didn't really matter who was the killer. It's all about Ryuuko's character in the end, not about how many characters and which way they were defeated or whether friendship power was used or not. That wasn't the point. Really looking forward to stuff past this, particularly in what direction Satsuki's character goes. The line in episode 3 about her intentions being "pure" sort of makes it stuff come full circle, too. The series is really well thought out in certain ways.

Ragyo is a creepy molester.
Ryuko and Satsuki are sisters, no surprise there. Maybe it was quite quick to reveal after throwing all the hints in this episode. -
Just thought I'd leave this here.

"Oh look at that baby, I wonder if there's any connec- Never mind."

you're saying this like we hadn't plenty of time to speculate on eventuality of Ryuko and Satsuki being sisters before
-
I know many of you will want to kill me for this, but after watching that preview it cannot be helped.
!
-

Has anyone been speculating? I don't think there was anything before this episode that pointed to Ryuko and Satsuki being siblings, but I don't follow this series trying to connect the dots.

Her hair highlight similar to Ragyo and similar hair color to Satsuki were the basis to me.

well it was quite obvious course of action. I've never made any conscious effort to predict what is going to happen next, but possibility of Ruyoko and Satsuki being sisters occurred relatively early to me. When whole deal with "dead" had been mentioned I was "so the are sisters after all" and than everything in the episode also pointed to that. I was just sure they would toy with viewers bit longer and only admit the family connection in next episode.
-
A guy I was talking to earlier had an interesting theory about Isshin being Ryuko's grandfather (and Dr. Kiryuin's father).

Unrelated. Wait. Related. No. Well.

Haha, that's adorable. Gamagoori is jealous. :p

Ah ok, I get what you mean, but I think revealing at the end of the episode was a good idea though, we're pretty close to the climax episodes as it is, and this gives both sisters a chance to mull over their new relationship with each other for a few episodes.
-
"End of the road". If that doesn't imply someone is going to die… just watch the second opening again and tell me if you don't see something odd.
-
watched the new ep it seems the series' pacing problems have finally solved themselves a bit
seeing satsuki get beat like that was oddly satisfying. I guess its rollover from her being the antagonist of the series for so long. -

People keep saying they see something in the new opening…is there a new version or something? Every character is there and accounted for and seems pretty healthy.

So here's a serious question for those who speak German: Does Blumenkranz still sound good when you can understand the lyrics?
I think it's a beautiful song, but it occurs to me that Before my Body is Dry would probably also sound awesome to someone who doesn't speak English, and thus never has to deal with the immense cheesiness of the "I got to find out who kill my Daaaad…" line, the rap portion, and other miscellaneous weird word choices.
-
So here's a serious question for those who speak German: Does Blumenkranz still sound good when you can understand the lyrics?
No. I like the instrumental parts of the song, but it's a bit hard to take the song serious, seeing how horrible the german lines are pronounced. On the bright side it's sometimes hard to even make out what language the song is supposed to be.
Just my oppinion though. Maybe other German-speakers don't care as much.
-
I don't view Blumenkranz as a German song, mainly because it is nearly impossible to see it as German in the first place.
It's more like a made-up language for me that works well enough, but should never be questioned content-wise. -
This is so funny
-
-
Brilliant episode, second best of the season! On to the next one, hopefully that preview doesn't mean the blind guy dies. :S Also good to see they didn't hold back on the brutality.
-
Blumenkranz first plays in the first episode when Ryuuko first reveals herself. Woah.
Speaking of that.
-
Wanted Nui to last longer to be honest. She was a bit entertaining.
Also, Satsuki is going to get the other scissor blade it seems since her sword is in two.
Some good hax introduced in the series with great regen too. -
What was the deal with the Dotonbori Robo/ "DTR!!!" gag? It kinda came out of nowhere. I'm guessing it's some kind of reference to something I'm just not aware of?
-
! So once again Ryuko's character development has regressed. Great episode outside of the ending but seriously… Ryuko is pretty garbage-tier as a main character by this point.
-
! Ryuko keeps losing her way
-
! Uh, she just got her heart ripped out of her chest and learned she's not human. I'd say this reaction is justified. There is always something to tear the bond between her and Senketsu apart, the point of her character basically is that she has to keep bouncing back from it. She's not ashamed anymore, she's not revenge-driven anymore, but now she has another reason to deal with and overcome. That's what I got out of it.
The Gamagoori and Mako interaction was adorable. Ragyo continues to be the creepy villain she is. Good episode, I'd say. -
Unrelated to the last episode, but isn't Ryuko very influenced by classic Go Nagai MCs? And Uncle Go wasn't exactly the most talented when it came to good MCs… or good mixture between ecchi and plot. Oh well, I still love him for his weird manga regardless of that and since I view KlK as a modern callback to that I have no problems with Ryuko.
