There is no need for that category to exist, it's clear that it's you who is the most indecisive anyway

That sounds way too decisive

You are right
What should I do now?
Huh? That's still around. In fact it was already up for nominations.
Talking in future tense.
"I'll miss Best Chew-Out"
You are right
What should I do now?
Support Buggy in the next tournament
Also rethink some of your previous statements
Damn these categories are filling up fast.
Most Original and Most One Piece Knowledgeable are open.
Also, all these nominations I get are making me feel weird.

That's the best.
@Toraish:

Why? :ninja:
Everyone is posting all at once and so we're getting several dupli-nominations XD

well, you've mentioned, that you hadn't had much of nominations in previous year, so now's the backlash. Bear with it.
I can't wait for Best New Member to open and to see five simultaneous posts racing to nominate Print Error

More like four.
I already took her friendlist-virginity so I will leave it at that.

Betcha people will argue on who nominated her first, hehehe.

I look forward to the upcoming bloodbath.

Indeed.
Print Error already tried to steal my most original nomination (but failed by a few seconds, ahaha!).

I will get my revenge, wolfman. Just you wait.
Seems there is a lot of new names among this years nominations.
i can't remember the last time the forum awards were this active
@metteminne:
haha, it doesn't feel like a year ago
it feels longer
either way, it seems a lot more active this year to me
it might be because of the smaller amounts of awards

Probably , some of the weirder ones have been thrown out and we have a new active generation who are a lot more active than the old ones previous year
Wow, things really sped up while I was at work.
Yea, same here … Missed two categories. Really hoping I don't miss best new member when it happens.
Why isn't Greg in most One Piece Knowledgeble? Is he disqualified for winning several times?
My sig is proof of Greg's knowledge, as well as several other things he's done.
Is Greg even active at this site anymore? I mean i've seen his ghost hovering around once in a while.
But it feels like he makes a post like once every four months or something
He might be busy, but I see him sometimes. I dunno, maybe you're looking in the wrong threads?
He's bowed out of the category in the past so there's no reason to assume that he'd want to be eligible this year.

Greg requested a couple years ago that he not be up for these awards due to his lessened activity on the site, as he felt more active members, and new people, should be up for forum awards. (Similarly, I prefer to bow out of categories I've won before, and I believe Zephos and Chrissie have stepped down from King/Queen nods this year.)
Besides. Given that Greg's now been on a Japanese television trivia show for One Piece twice, won against the editors, and now works for Shueisha in an official capacity as a "I Heart OP Triva" factoid guy that wears a Chopper hat that is published regularly in magazine and online, and has actually met and talked with Oda… he pretty much wins that by default anyway.

He tends to post a couple times a month, but he has other things keeping him busy. He also focuses more heavily on the podcast site.
i think Kuma Fannny should also be for "Most OP Knowledgable"

I know more about One Piece than you FACT.

I'm not even going to take this seriously so I'll just move it to the discussion thread.
I got nominated?
Bless the soul who did so.
i'm still burnt out from the otohime vs. buggy match
Same here. I personally think it's the most memorable aggressively competitive match ever.
I mean, I know I can make a campaign that's thousands times better now, but it's just too much extensive labor. That and I had Buster Call helping the drive behind it too.
My own opinion tho. Although it seems like a consensus opinion too, so I'm kinda happy for that.
I kinda don't think AP could survive another match like that one
I still remember people on IRC (me) screaming about coins
Nice, it's my first year time I see and think about this, but I think this system is pretty nice for boosting people's motivation to be more active in forums. :) Should I use this as excuse to raise my motivation to be more active on 2014 as well?
@Toraish:
This is easy:
No.
Yes.
In that case I think I will pass. There is no reason for me to be more active apart from using this as excuse for allowing myself to have more fun in AP forums.
So you're basically saying that having fun is only worthwhile if you can get awarded for it?
@Toraish:
So you're basically saying that having fun is only worthwhile if you can get awarded for it?
There is competition out there between sources of entertainment. I'll rather stick with more useful activities, but well… My hands sometimes moves on their own...
Yes, after all. The only reason why anyone goes and participates on internet forums are the annual non-tangible internet awards

:derp: Sorry, I think you're making a joke. I'm out, because I was trying to take it seriously for a moment. x)

Don't underestimate the educational potential that a human community, online or not, can have. By all means stick to what feels the most compelling to you - it's by far the best thing to do - but don't sell us short regardless. I can honestly say that I know a lot more about a wide range of things including at least international politics, ontology, human relationships, and manga as a medium solely because I became an active member of this forum, so it's not as useless as it might sound. :P
I mean seriously, what sort of worth is there to be active only to win a few internet awards. The awards are kinda just nods that you're making contributions to the community, but if you think that the main reason you should be more active is to win awards then you seriously need to reconsider how you spend your time.
This isn't limited to internet points and applies to real life as well.

That sounds like a convincing reason for me to stay in here. :) But as for being more active for AP awars then I know that I will never win regardless, because I'm aware that I'm type of person people dislikes. Well, I can still fool myself into taking it as excuse to be more active, but I guess I'm regardless dumb enough to get more active in AP forums regardless.

Because motivation and interest is very often something that doesn't follow reason.
I personally post on the forum because I enjoy One Piece and discussing it with others who do…
...I'm just old fashioned like that.

I think you missed the point. Be more active doesn't refer to just around award times. Be more active means be more active in general. If you do, you are bound to grow and might even be recognized for it.
When I look at my earliest posts on the forum, they were all very anti-social, too, and it's embarrassing looking back on them. Being around here long enough helped with some personal growth and I'm grateful to the forums for it. This community is full of good people of all kinds and you can learn a lot by interacting with them. The purpose of these awards is to highlight those people and all the good times we've had together. So look to this as a time to learn a little about what makes this forum a place worth being in.
By the way, I'm keeping with my policy of not nominating, but I'm forever grateful to the people who have nominated me. I'm glad anyone can find enjoyment in my semi-(at-best)-coherent ramblings.

Get out of here with your actual interest in discussing the subject matter !!
